Posts: 119During covid I crossed a couple times. The 30 dollars that I paid was not a bribe. It was a visa fee for a 6 month FMM which at the time was required in order to visit Mexico for Tourism. It actually wasnt a bad deal because you could use this FMM to cross with the locals and allowed for pretty much no hassel entry into Tijuana. Once covid ended they went back to allowing folks to cross who are staying within 30 miles for up to 7 days cost free entry.

As for Luke Powell. He can be as adamant as he wants but the truth of the matter is that at this particular moment in time a passport is required to cross. His last stream appears to be 3 months ago. Haven't seen much from him on Youtube lately.

Posts: 718That's interesting. At least the couple of times during COVID when I tried to cross with an expired passport they just sent me to the back room where I paid a bribe ($20 or $30) and then they sent me on my way into Mexico. Maybe if she'd flashed a $20 or something like that they would've taken care of her. If for whatever reason they didn't let me in at San Ysidro my backup plan would've been to try to get in through Otay Mesa as I've heard they're more lenient at that border crossing as far as even checking for passports (wouldn't know personally as I've never been to Otay Mesa).

But that is surprising. Trump's actions do have side effects. I know Luke Powell's always been adamant about a passport not being necessary to cross LOL.

Posts: 119Took a trip down Tues, Weds, and left Thurs.
Hung out with one of my Tijuana / Thailand pals sadly missed the rest of the group as I had to leave before the weekend as I had to work.
Things of note.
1. My friend tried to come down and visit but she doesn't have a passport. She has crossed before with no issues but this time because she didn't have a passport she was sent back to the US. I told her this would probably happen as they have been enforcing this with a greater degree of vigor lately.
2. The talent in the alley is pretty much the same. One or two look good but I'm 90% sure the session would be horrible from the terrible service most of these chicas provide and the constant checking of the condom / toilet paper gasket shit they like to pull.
3. I again avoided going into Hong Kong. Really is depressing to walk by Adelitas and see it still closed.
4. Crossing back Thursday morning at 9 am there was barely a line. Only once you got into the main building was there a small line of people crossing back. I only had to wait behind 2 people in the GE lane.

Posts: 2154It's all over the place
I've filled it out, they've filled it out, or I've been waived through after showing my passport and sometimes without even doing that. But for those planner types out there, simply complete the FMM online, print it out and give it to the agent unless of course there isn't one at the desks when they're understaffed and there's just a guy standing by the desks and waiving people through.

Posts: 662They filled out the FMM card
When I visited last weekend they asked me where I was stating and they did the entire form filling (mostly by Computer I think).

Posts: 2154I've never written anything other than Centro, literally that one word, in the address box of the FMM. And you're right they don't give a flying fuck where you're staying. On another note, give Caesars a shot. Location is perfect and their newer rooms are on point.

Posts: 718Well this answer is probably too late but one of my regular chicas lives near Playas and her favorite spot to run is out in Playas, whether it be on the beach or the boardwalk. Or if you're good with just a treadmill, Tijuana Fitness is a popular gym with chicas that's a short walking distance from HK. Cost me $10 for a one-day pass when I've worked out there.

Posts: 718Eh, I think "hotel" and address of hotel is actually on the FMM form, which is probably why the Mexican customs official asked. Sometimes they ask, sometimes they don't. It's been a while since I've filled out an FMM form myself but I do recall one of the fields on the form being the name and address of the "hotel" you're staying at. You obviously make a good point about not necessarily staying overnight or in a hotel but that's the way it's worded on the FMM forms I remember filling out so the customs official was probably just trying to do their job, highly doubt they actually care LOL.

Posts: 2154Asking where you're going is nothing new but if the guy asked, "Which hotel are you going to" then that's bizarre because first of all how does he even know you're staying overnight and second, some who cross and will stay the night in Tijuana won't sleep at a hotel. I've stayed at a buddy's place, a chica's place or not stayed overnight in Tijuana at all in favor of staying in San Diego. Regardless, for the uninitiated, if asked where you're going, just say Centro and be done with it.

Posts: 41Yep, the same thing happened when I was there in February. I'm going back Monday and anticipating the same process. In fact, I'm going to print out and fill the FMM visa before leaving.

Well Tijuana is a difficult place to run except for designated places. You could run on the beach in Playas Tijuana but it might be crowded on the weekend unless you go in the morning. If your staying in the Zona you could Uber to a "sports park" that they have over in the Zona Rio area that is just before the General Hospital. It has a little stadium with a track or if you don't like running in a circle like a hamster they have a little trail that you can run on that takes you around the complex that is about 1 km or maybe longer but you could go around as much as you want.

Posts: 19Nothing tangible, but they do make you stop everytime now and fill out a visa. Before, sometimes they would just check your passport and wave you through. I did note that crossing this week the guy was asking more questions like where I'm going specifically, as in what hotel. I made up the Marriott, but I was annoyed he would even ask.

Hey Guys,
I will be in Tijuana over the weekend and am looking for a place to run, maybe near a beach or wooded trails. I would be willing to pop back over the border and grab an Uber if there are better options that are not too far.
Any suggestions.
Thanks!
