Wondering if anyone else has encountered this:

In trying to avoid certain ladies who are pestering me, I decided I'd open a new TF profile to replace my old one, refresh, revamp, update photos etc.

So I opened a brand new account using a different email address to my first one etc. On setting it up and logging in on my phone, I noticed I had "premium" membership despite not having paid. So I thought it must be a free trial. If I log into my old account on my computer is says standard user only. But if I log into my old account on my phone, it's saying "premium" member. It's as if they are using say the MAC address of my device as the account identifier rather than say my email address. Which seems just weird. It's as if my 'premium' subscription is interchangeable on the same device.

Anyone, any other explanation that I am missing!!

Another thing is that some of these younger ladies are pretty direct. I get a notice from TF that they are interested in me, nothing else, and nothing in their profile indicating what they are looking for. So I sometimes send them a message saying something like, "Thanks for your interest. Just to be clear I am not looking for a serious relationship. I'm just looking for fun while I'm in Chiang Mai. What is your interest in me, given that I am much older?

One young lady answered "Same you, fun. Sex without commitment. You like?

Another lady answered, "I'm looking for some pocket money. (Sex for money). ".

Got to love these young, direct ladies!

I agree and they nearly all have a price, regularly they start off, ' I am looking for a man to live forever with' ' to look after me etc, not a holiday fling'. Then keep tinkering away and 20 minutes later they are gagging to come around for a good licking. They are as transparent as anything.

And they can be easily and quite offended, even if they have not stated that in their profile and are asked about meeting for something more than just coffee. Being older, I typically relate better to older ladies. So in my TF profile I stated my preference for ladies over 40, and I set my search criteria for ladies over 40.

I changed the target in my profile to 32 and now search for ladies 29 and above. What a difference. There is no shortage of freelancers between 27 and 35 showing interest. In my 13 winters in Chiang Mai, I have never been with a lady under about 36 or 37. While my body still works, I'm going to go with it. Maybe these younger ladies will be fun, too.

That 20 year age differential for a Thai woman and a western man seems about right for traditional dating. But for P4P, there is no recommendation. For example, I've had 3 TF sessions in the last week where she is more than 50 years younger than me. When someone is as old and disgusting as me, money talks and bullshit walks.

Historically I've favored women in their early to mid-30's or even to early 40's. But during my current trip I haven't found any ladies that old who satisfy my eyeballs and preliminary tactile exams, so, I've been with them between 18 and 28. When in doubt, check her ID.

For me it's a) 20-30 year old's for firmer / hotter bodies but less technique, experience and interaction. It's their communication skills which turns me off sometimes as well, they can be a bit cold and moody.

B) 30-50 year olds have more experience, better technique, better communication skills, more relaxed and sometimes actually enjoy the sex! Just the bodies can be flagging.

Signed up to TF in anticipation of a trip in a few weeks. TF app keeps not sending my chats (or at least doesn't show them in my chat histories) and popping up an ad telling me that I can't message again for another 24 hours (with a count down). Anyone else experience this? Am I in jail for some reason I can't see, or do I need to pay to actually message girls on the app?

I've been unable to send any message via ThaiFriendly free account since August 2025.

The timer reverts to 59:59 and keeps resetting.

Anybody has a fix for this issue?

I've emailed their technical support multiple times but received no replies.

I was using "favorites" to stash girls to get them out of my "mail outbox" . I would delete them in "mail outbox" and transfer them to favorites. Just now she failed to register in favorites!

A few days ago I was contacted by a pretty Isaan lady and we had nice text chat on TF when she suggested video chat on WhatsApp. I countered with Line, but she objected because Line has too many scammers. I refused WhatsApp because it linked to my true phone number in USA. She countered with Facebook messenger video chat, which I objected because that is my true identity plus my friends and family. That's when I realized that she was a potential scammer.

I know some people poo poo my concern regarding not giving up my USA phone number, but I won't often do that. About a year ago I was using WhatsApp to chat with a lady when I decided to ghost her and block her on WhatsApp. A couple days later my USA cell rings from Thailand, it was this lady asking me for money for surgery to transition her son to ladyboy.

I wouldn't poopoo your concerns at all, indeed I go a step further, I have a totally separate sim, number, apple ID, what's app, Line etc that I keep just for mongering trips. It's 20 bucks a month so not crippling at all.

But the point I'd make is, I think by far the biggest security risk for your "details" to be compromised is when you connect to public wifi, in cafes, public transport even hotels etc. After staying in a city for a few days even mainly on "public" networks I always start getting more spam and random messages / calls like you describe.

I've had my credit card compromised several times in the last few years after visiting Cities in the States and in particular the UK (London is particularly bad for it).

The best solution is to have your own private local Sim with unlimited data and stick to it.

It feels like LINE is destroying their own business. How well is WhatsApp working at the moment? I. e. How many girls have it and use it frequently?

Been here 3 weeks, but only started with TF last few days. I'm in my early 40's, not in bad shape (no gut) etc, and been playing with different profile text. Initially I tried to woo with nice guy etc, but was attracting the long are / ship ones.

In the end reduced to something that would indicate my intentions. Have only managed to get one on WA that I liked and in negotiation stage at moment but no meet. I'm no idiot but I'm starting to think BKK is not great for TF. The girls seem v busy as when I send msg it takes an age to reply, even with premium and selecting 'put my replies at the top'. OR maybe I'm being too fussy looking for the 7-8/10's.

If I have no more real success and I've given it many hours, I'll have to get over to Sukhumvit somewhere.

As mentioned in various posts over the last page or two, there has been some moderation by TF in the last year, so the FL's are as blatently obvious as maybe before. You need to be more forward that's all. Not in your profile, but just message the girls you like, say you are only in town for a short time, you are looking for a quick hook up in your hotel and you'd pay (just say taxi's etc initially) but they'll take the hint. You'll find the responses will start flooding in.

BKK is not a problem, but if you are staying on the outskirts, to make it clear you will pay and cover all travelling expenses etc.

I presume you have put a photo on your profile? The second I take mine down, I stop getting 'visits'.

Under 45 kg is rather skinny for the average Thai girl around 155 - 160 cm tall.

1. It has been said many times in here that Bangkok is not the place for Thai Friendly. You will be a hog in slop with it in Pattaya.

2. Nobody reads what you write, so you are wasting your time trying to be clever.
