Posts: 436I have no doubt that there are lots of lurkers on here but I disagree that they have any impact on the room availability in Tijuana.

There are many lurkers. Back when I was really active on this forum years ago, I'd regularly post photos of chicas I tapped. On average, each photo generated around 400-500 views, some 600-700, and one is probably going to crack 1,000 views. So totally agree there are a lot of looky loos who view these threads, but what percentage of those have been or ever will visit Tijuana? I have no idea. Also, among the small percentage of viewers who post, I suspect even within that group are guys who've never been to Tijuana but want to experience the exhilaration from their mom's basement.

Posts: 121I've seen it happen before. There might be a half a dozen or so guys who actually post here but the number of people who read the forum and don't contribute is alot larger than you might suspect. I've just been scolded on here and other forums before for "screwing the pooch" so to say by posting my hotel reiews and recomendations. In the past I have experienced not being able to get a hotel room where I normally do due to occupancy being full.

Posts: 436Do you really think that the half dozen or so guys that frequent this particular forum section is going to have a impact on hotel supply in Tijuana?

While a hotel thread would be a nice thing to have the thread would be difficult to maintain as hotel rates change depending on demand. This also can backfire because if a certain hotel gets a glowing recomendation here that hotel may start to fill up more often cuasing supply issues.

Posts: 121The sad part is it didn't used to be this way. Tijuana was mostly an affordable destination where all manner of delights, hotels, food, and yes even coochie was very affordable. It seems COVID changed all of that. A hotel that used to be less than 30 dollars is now regularly priced at 70 and above. Food is no longer cheap but certainly not as expensive as it is in the USA but that also depends on where and what you are eating. The coochie price also still beats what it would cost you in the US depending on where you get your coochie from. SGs while they have risen in price are still somewhat affordable but the lack of service and enthusiasm makes the value for money proposition virtually nil. Bar girls service is usually top notch but you pay a top notch price for it.

I hit that point well before covid came though and I discovered Thailand. The drawback of any destination in S. E. A. Tho is the distance and time it takes to get there from the USA.

Posts: 730I don't want to discourage your from continuing this discussion in a full thread by itself. For me, it is what it is. Tijuana is expensive, specially the Hotels. For the quality and comfort the city provides, it is too damn expensive. Now you can also add food to the list. We can bear the Coochie price but all other things so high for a mostly run down city like Tijuana which has nothing but roads and buildings, makes you want retire early and go to more far way places.

Posts: 56The hotel is one of the most important things we do
Given how much goes on, the hotel is such a critical part of a Tijuana experience.
My personal experience is with hotel catalina. If you get a good room, its perfect. Three floors up and out of the revolucion crowd. Not the nicest rooms though. Caesars is very nice for usually only $50. Quinta was nice until I had a horrible experience due to the noise from a local bar blasting music until 2 am.
Quinta you can get for $30 to $40, same with catalina. An average person can walk to the zona in about 20 minutes depending on traffic lights.
Valerio is also nice as the rooms are inward so you don't get the street noise. The rooms are expensive now though at around $70/ night! I have no clue why its so pricey, but that's what usually keeps me away. Although I suppose for the $20, being close to the street girls can be a big help!
Should we make another thread just for the hotels? To share about local prices and which ones continue to be girl friendly?
Onto price again. I've found that booking online is actually MORE expensive most of the time than just walking in without a reservation. Its insane when you think about it, but the online prices likely include CC fees.
Caesars so far has been my greatest experience. They never ask for more money when youbring up a girl. Also the place is pretty classy everyone is wearing a suit!

Posts: 436I've never had to check a girl in at Grand and I've been there over a 100 nights the past 5 years. Girl #1 is a SG from the alley I've known a long time and will stay with me a few nights every time I visit nearly every month. Girl #2 I met though a Escort agency and she also stays with me overnight. Neither girl has been asked or required to check it, I meet them out side and walk in with them or near elevators and go up with no issues.

Posts: 67I was checking into Grand Hotel a few months ago and I got a killer deal for a two-bed room, and the receptionist wanted to know the name of the other person I was traveling with, "to put her down in the system. ". I had to blabber I'd come back with the info and when I walked away I realized she was just toying with me. "Be sure you do because it's a requirement for this hotel. " LOL.

I have stayed in both the Zona hotels and downtown.
I understand the convenience of the Zona hotels and use them when I am hunting new talent. However, I like doing TLNs which are difficult in Cascadas or Rizo without paying a bar fine if the girl works at HK or BT. And the Jalos (Chicago Club) hotel SUCKS.
Two of my ATFs would prefer not to be seen in the Zona with a client. Understandable, as the clubs can get testy about the girls seeing clients outside their business.

Posts: 802I've never stayed in zona. Only centro. Because I value a sense of safety and frankly anything under a 4 star hotel is like what's the point.

To unapologetically go about your business without triangulating around front desk staff and nosy other visitors. To just declare by way of your very existence in that spot what your intentions are.
At Grand or Real Inn, my usual spots, there's always a sense that the front desk and staff know why you're there, you're a walking cliche, and they're just being polite by pretending not to notice or address it.

Posts: 730Depending on the hotel I think it's closer to a 10 (or more) minute walk away door to door. Or taxi if you're leaving the club super late and the hotel is farther out in Centro.

Easy to go back to room for a quick rest, retrieve something you forgot, get $$$ you have stored back in the room, etc. If it's really late and I've just got done with a chica, it's convenient to just be able to walk the chica to the door and just go to sleep rather than having to change, walk the chica back down to the club, and then head back to Centro.
Also in Cascadas there's a $0 room charge any time you take a chica up from HK or Tropical (vs. I think it's up to $40 now if you're not staying at the hotel? I don't think hotel guests have to pay the $5 beer admission fee on weekend nights either.
I get that many of the hotels in Centro are better quality but, especially with me being low maintenance, I've never had any real issues with any of the hotels I've stayed at in Zona Norte in all the years I've been going down there. They're a good enough place to lay my head for the night, no complaints.
