Hi at ThaiGoodTimes. Thanks for your advice. Do you have any specific spots you recommend there at the south end of the beach? I can see a bunch of MPs and bars. I'm staying the vicinity and it would be nice to hit a sure thing.

Never mind. I RTFF and found some good advice further back. Also, I found a good YouTube video which talks about the nightlife and gives a great view of this end of the beach. I'll post my experience when I return.

As far as full on naughty ones go, that area is a bit of a dry zone.

Of course you're likely to be able to get handjobs anywhere, but clothes off, blowjobs and sex options would be very limited right near the airport.

Just returned from two weeks in Patong, Phuket and a week of mostly diving out of Khao Lak. Frankly, a bit disappointed with Patong. Last trip there was in 2012.

Patong is surprisingly a lot more of a family destination now. I saw families pushing strollers on Bangla Road late at night for crying out loud!! A lot less beer bars and freelancers than I remember and the beer bar girls wanted 2000 baht just for bar fines! (Was around 500 baht last visit). I didn't even bother the very few freelancers I saw, sure they all wanted 5-6000 baht for a short time.

I mostly did the ladies in the massage places, found some good ones who would accept 2000 baht for full service, and they were often very attractive with nice bodies. Even had a couple regulars at a place near my hotel that I used frequently. I did run into a few hustles, though. I would pick a good looking lady at some massage places who back in the room actually showed me a ridiculous menu on their cell phones. 2000 for a HJ, 3000 for a BJ, 5000 for full service. Stupid stuff. I would counter with something more reasonable and they would go get another less attractive lady who would do it for my offered price..

Sadly I hear this issue way way too often.

Phuket is far more than just Patong, Bangla Road and its nearby surrounding streets and businesses.

The prices there are hiked to capture the inexperienced or unbothered two week millionaires.

Patong is like Walking Street, hyped up.

And again like it is in Pattaya when you get away from Walking Street, things become more normalized, more affordable.

In Phuket, stay outside Patong, and just visit to see the madness and if you like it.

Stay north at Kamala, or south at Karon, Kata, or my favourite Rawai.

Patong is a lot more crowded than I remember; traffic is terrible and the whole city smells like raw untreated sewage. Patong beach is dirty and the water is filthy.

Up in Khao Lak it was massage places only and they were ok, but many didn't even have a shower available. Not so good. The diving out in the Similans is fantastic though.

Next year I will return but will do Bangkok and Pattaya; skip Patong entirely.

As for Rawaii, I was in the complex with pleasuredome playing pool. That's the area I meant was all under one roof. Sorry for the confusion there. I saw Club Zhu but it was dead. Looked cool though. It was also before midnight on a Wednesday.

Everyone definitely has their own opinions and fav spots. I just think people are a little too negative overall. My main point is that you can definitely find whatever it is you want in Phuket. Pattaya just has LOTS more, but you can only bang so much. I didn't enjoy much else in Pattaya other than the food and sheer volume of hot women. Phuket is a vacation with mongering, Pattaya is a mongering vacation!

That complex in Rawai would be Laguna, a great place from 8-9 pm each evening, after 9 pm the quality freelancers start to roll in, and the vibe picks up a lot.

Before then it's just the employed bargirls, and there are always quite some stunners there, just lower numbers and more competition from the tourists and locals.

As to Club Zhu, it is quiet most nights until around 1 am and later, it then gets going through until 3-4 am as the freelancers, bar girls and massage girls roll in.

Much like what is the case at Illuzion and the other Bangla Road Patong nightclubs.

Hey Sargeant, what did you mean by all the Rawai bars are under one roof? As they most definitely aren't. LOL.

There's 3 bar complexes, Laguna with the nightclub Club Zhu at the back, Gilbis Plaza and Banana Plaza opposite each other.

Then there's bars spread out all over the area, mostly standalone like Ole, or clustered together like around Stumble Inn and other areas.

So, where was it that you ended up in Rawai?

Nice words about Phuket, tho many will still disagree with you.

As to the gogo, which one on Soi SeaDragon did you end up in? Or, was it many LOL?

Mai Khao has grown since my last visit 5 years ago, including some (new?) MPs.

Have to try them out to see if at least a Happy Ending is offered.
