Immigration officers brought me to a back room to interrogate me, go through my phone, call people in my phone to let them know I was in Medellin and to ask if they knew me and what I was doing there. Totally ridiculous and invasion of privacy. Will never fly into MDE again.

Has anyone had issues entering Colombia through Bogota? I was detained last night in Medellin airport before ultimately being allowed to enter but will never fly into Medellin again. Wondering what the situation is in Bogota. Please advise.

Yep, but I still wouldn't bring a suitcase full of rubbers, lube, viagra, vibrators and lingerie. Just be smart and you should be ok. Have a planned response ready if they question what kind of tourist activities you plan on doing in Bogota / Colombia.

I really have to hand it to you. You could not pay me enough to stay in Bogota for 3 months. Not when there are much nicer places in the world to monger or visit.

Yea, I hear ya. I'm a Centro rat, you can see my old posts during COVID in MDE and stayed in laurels near estadio for months as well. Quick train to Botero plaza.

Not slumming it here though, BNB's are really nice.

Was in teusaquillo first half of the trip, 15-20 min walk from Santa Fe. As a previous poster said, yea, it's a shithole. Total dump.

But f*cking a vennie for $20 USD makes it worth it. Nice bnb's and high rises over there in tuesaquillo, mine had an infinity pool on the top floor.

I live off rappi, got sick of arepas and chorizo after the first week. Great sushi places, BBQ joints, fusion restaurants, etc. Usually spend 50-60 k cop a meal.

Currently in Chapinero alto in a $1300 a month BNB. Very nice place on the 14th floor, clean neighborhood, workout at stark gym. Very yuppie area. Hang out at luckia casino on weekends and the food in zona g is Miami tier.

A lot of guys come for a weekend and stay in tequendema suites (which is a dump LOL), I prefer to stay here long term as I work remote and speak fluent Spanish. Blend in well as an Italian American. More than one way to skin a cat!

(previous post had a typo, I meant to say 40+times over 2 months at divas spa. Not in a month). Off to Sao Paulo now for a few weeks.

Oh my inbox has been an issue for probably 8 years now on ISG. I have sent payment for multi years of subscriptions, have sent numerous messages to the administrator, and crickets for the past 5 years and finally just gave up.

So when you get into town (Medellin) contact our buddy Diego as I talk to him and hang with him when I leave my Finca outside Medellin and go into town. And yes he is still as crazy as ever, LOL.

Divas spa next to parque hippies. Probably 40 sessions there the past month. You can find it on google maps.

The best casa and roster out of anywhere in Bogota especially price to quality. Spent three hours more than a couple times.

130 k hh 180 k HR. 50 k upcharge for DFK, DATY, or BBBJ. No fatties here. Mostly Colombians too from Santander and the coast.

The best girls are Juliana, salomen, Dulce, Luna, Camila, and Maria. 10-13 girls on weekdays. Sundays 4-5 girls.

Luna literally looks like Rihanna LOL. See for yourself.

This place is heaven on earth. Ymmv. Happy mongering jw.

Been to Medellin twice but never spent any time in Bogota yet. From reading and checking locations on Google Maps, please correct me if I'm wrong or not. Just seems that the casas and main strip clubs in Bogota are all in nasty looking areas whereas at least in Medellin, some of the venues there are at least in okay areas. Makes me not want to come to Bogota and just stick to Medellin for future Colombia trips.

There is a nicer part of town called Usaquen. Chico Norte but I did not stay there. It may be more like El Poblado or Laureles. I am guessing it's not great as most coverage of Bogota is Sante Fe and Chapinero and you are right both of those area are trashy. With Sante Fe being one of the most dangerous areas of the city.

You hit it with Medellin as two of the nicest areas of the city have easily accessible sex venues be it casas, clubs or Parque Lleras. I don't Bogota has something similar but if they do may be on a much smaller scale.

Overall, my impression of Bogota, at least were I stayed and hobbied, can be summed up in one word. Shithole. People saying they are back in the filth are spot on. I saw trash on sidewalks being picked at by crows. Graffiti everywhere in the city, even in tourist areas. Sante fe homeless and addicts every where. The streets outside the Sante Fe clubs are blocked off and regulated by criminal elements so it's safe. But you have to walk out of this safe zone to get an Uber so you can see what I am talking about. Don't even get me started on the hygiene of some of the club chicas. The rooms in the clubs are beds covered in plastic with a sheet thrown on top. You will see locals don't dress well. You really need to wear a hoodie or you will be over dressed. And as can read Bogots weather sucks. Eternal spring vs eternal cloudiness/rain. Bogotas weather is like Londons.

I was surprised none of the posts on this forum go into any details on this stuff. Anyway, if you are thinking of taking a break from Medellin or going to Bogota don't waste your time. Medellin is the better choice.

I have been in Medellin for 15 plus years, and over the past 20 years have played everywhere not just in Medellin but so to Bogota
