As a long term resident I cannot stress enough how bad of a mongering destination Taiwan is. Service is available but it is mostly catering to locals and not easily accessible to non-mandarin speakers. There are a couple of places (saunas, massage parlors and the RLD) that have been reported on before, but they are generally overpriced and provide mediocre service at best. There is also a whole parallel universe for the Japanese crowd, but again, none of that is accessible to non-Japanese.

On the other hand it is very easy to hook up with civilians here. But that requires a bit of time which you may or may not want to invest.

Not sure if you are serious, but that will be challenging even for a local. Your best bet would be a Vietnamese massage parlor, like the ones on Jilin Rd. You'll be in and out within about one hour. However their massage is usually awful and so are any of the extras.

There's a building off Kanding Rd, Lane 250 in Wanhua district, Taipei that is mostly organized by local mafia with girls in every room.

If you orient yourself towards the north on Kangding Street just up from Guangzhou Street, with Laosong Elementary School on your right (east), this small lane (Lane 250) goes off to the left (west) and then does a 90-degree turn south back towards Guangzhou Street. The building you are walking around when you do this 90-degree turn is the one I'm talking about. It has a hallway on street level with elevators going up. The hallway has two entrances—one on Kangding and one on Lane 250 after the turn. The hallway is kind of like a shortcut through the building from the bigger street to the lane behind the building.

Anyway, this whole building is full of girls, just like a Hong Kong walk up. But the difference is that down on the lane are mafia guys who control everything and some girls sitting around in chairs. I think the mafia guys have an agreement with the police, because they are out in the open on this tiny lane corner while the police are in full force on Xichang and Kangding, just meters away.

Mostly they will turn you away if you are foreign and don't speak Chinese. They also prefer people to cover their faces with a surgical mask (Covid style). Got off the plane at 7:30 pm, flew through customs, took the MRT to the city and checked into my hotel at the LE Room Hotel on Kaifeng Street. Good value for the money, but the rooms are a little cramped and it is difficult to cross the street in that area. But it's fairly quiet and the beds are some of the most comfortable I've ever had in Asia. And it's less than half a mile from Longshan Temple and the Xichang Street Market, so that's what matters.
