Meh. I've been going to Pattaya for 16 years, they've changed the visa policies countless times and will change it right back when they don't like the annual tourist numbers.

It won't stop the riff raff from coming or applying for 30 day extensions unless you also stopped all those direct flights and made it more expensive for them to come. Hell India had 2.4 million tourists in Thailand last year, they'll still be there.

Yes but it's better to let the riff raff know somehow they're not welcome. If you read the article, it's even stated Thailand economy depends on tourism, so they can't go hard on it either,. They wouldn't have to change rules all the time if westerners behaved like they ask in their home countries, so adding that layer of annoyance for them is better than nothing. You can still lie that you practice muay Thai and get your extension indeed.

It's always the case, but moreso now, that the ladies are divided into 2 groups, those with foreign sponsors, and those without. Sponsored ladies can throw money around and be picky about customers.

When ladies come to my condo, they always talk about how crazy sponsors are. The lonely guys who insist on talking for an hour every day, and check their location constantly.

To me Soi 6 works because you are interested in the girl you see on the street or in the bar. Make sure before you step into the bar that you ask the girl if they Bar Fine or do short time in the bar. That way you don't waste money on Lady Drinks for her. Also, you can just walk into a bar and order a drink for yourself and chill without buying a Lady Drink for any of the girls.

No, is your power! The ability to get up and go to another bar in Soi 6 is your super power.

Just going to leave it here. The 60 days Free visa has been reduced to 30 days and its automatic renewal canceled. You now need to justify why you want to stay longer. Thailand finally did what needed to be done, and I'm all for it. Always rooting for the countries that want to protect their legacies and image. I myself Called out the attitude and behavior of western foreigners overseas on this forum and based off what I saw when I go there,. LOL. Now governments are reacting.

Lets go Thailand, lets go Colombia,. Next stop Parque Lleras- Medellin. #All money ain't good money#.

Pattaya is pretty dead right now, there just aren't any customers. Last night, I spent 2 hours as the only customer in a bar. Walking around, I see lots of empty bars. There are still a handful of high traffic areas that have customers, but once you get to the second tier areas, its quiet. I don't have the time to go with all the ladies who are looking for customers.

My experiences in Pattaya (right now; current, real time) mirror the situation that Explorer8939 has described.

My regular girls that work in different venues (Soi 6, Naughty Massage, Gentleman's Club) all report dramatically decreased business. The clubs are still jumping still!

Is Pattaya different in that respect? When there are fewer or no customers around are hot girls still showing up for work and offering Real Sex at deep discounts to the precious few customers in town?

For me Pattaya is different. Low Season is much better.. Online (the prices are better) and I don't detect a change in service. Now in the venues, they don't lower prices. If girls go home it does not affect me. I can only fuck one or two a day and there are thousands available. In my opinion, the ones that remain during low season need the business and it shows!

I cannot speak for Bangkok!

It should be noted that I don't write about bad experiences because I have rarely had them (one stole from me - a tube of expensive toothpaste and two no shows). My experiences are current and I don't live in the glory days

I can't speak for Pattaya but whenever there are no or much fewer customers in Bangkok the hotter girls and especially those who also provide service worth a damn don't bother to show up for work. They go visit their family in their home province.

That is the Catch-22 about High Season vs Low Season here. The punter fantasy is that during Low Season all the hot girls will charge less for the same service, provide better service such as BBFSCIP for the same amount of money or, the best fantasy of all, the hot girls will provide better service for less money.

However, what I observe here in Bangkok is there are fewer hot girls around when there are fewer customers around. And I have never been offered better service for a discounted price from any of the fewer remaining hot girls I approach at any time of the year. As is the case with every above average looker I have encountered in Thailand they would rather curl up in the fetal position on the street and go days without food rather than do anything sexually they just don't feel like doing for money. And what is more likely is the hot girls and marginally better than average looking girls who provide very good service have made enough money during high customer traffic times to kick back and not bother to show up when there are few customers around.

But I do get grabbed and offered more for less from below average lookers here when there are fewer customers around. And from girls who must give particularly bad service since I see them standing around or sitting in front of massage shops year 'round with little indication of having even one repeat customer much less frequent repeats. If that is your thing.
