Posts: 7939I was in there a few months back and reported here that the BF at that time was quoted to me as p4200. More recently in the same bar the mama said p7000. Mama's routinely change the barfine amount on the spot, depending on what she feels the client in front of her is willing / able to pay. You appear drunk? Price quoted to you might be higher than 4200. You appear to be a first timer in-country? Price goes up. She said p7000 this time.

All of the recent reports are about accommodations. These don't belong here. There is a forum for those posts.
Administrator should get this stream back on subject.
Let's hear about the ladies!

Posts: 1126This was what we referred to as a "manumatic" solution. In Philippines tech, we implemented lots of systems and processes where there was some Bongbong-type guy with a faux badge as the backbone of system security. Surprisingly efficient and cheap, with a great profit margin. AR.

Posts: 1393In PH is coming at a slower pace, so far they have manual face recognition at S&R, 2-3 guys are scanning your membership card, then comparing the pic stored in their database to your face, and granting access or not. Labor is still cheap in the PH. (so should be pussy).

Posts: 1126Indeed. The short term rentals have continued for sure, but juristics are making it harder and harder with the hope that both landlords and short-term renters will be discouraged. In some cases these facial recognition systems also prevent unregistered people from entering shared facilities like gym and pool. I suspect you would not want to go through that aggravation a second time, so in the long term the controls will have a greater impact. AR.

Posts: 744Well you know the AC is running 24/7 so it is a bit cold to be entirely bare. Plus if you did notice the various changes of attire, that's because yes there were obvious breaks during the cleaning for other cleaning and emptying events (5'4" 37kg not much meat to keep her warm).

Posts: 1393I looked at the first pic, and I was ready to reply: don't you know that the best cleaning is done with the clothes off? Then I saw the rest. Good cleaning job!

Posts: 1393Last year in Jomtien / Pattaya, I rented this incredible abb for 2 weeks I think, cheap and modern, but I was illegally there. The entry was based on automated face recognition, done in the management office, when I tried to do it, I was told to produce a minimum 6 months leasing contract, otherwise I'm trespassing. I called the host, Chinese nr. And I was told to wait for somebody to enter and to squeeze by. No time to fight it, so I just did the piggyback thing, it was ok, most of the time.

Posts: 1126What broke the dam in my homebase of Thailand was the antics of the (non-Thai) Chinese. The mainlanders had bought entire floors of their condo development and set up a check-in desk next to the lobby Condo Reception to recieve groups of zero-dollar tour Chinese. Just like a hotel. Only after these incidents went viral did long-frustrated tenants take back their juristic (HOA) and drive out the short-term rentals. The problem still exists, but much diminished from the peak. It is now very common for juristic rules to have specific callouts forbidding short-term rental with penalties and fines to non-compliant owners.
