If you look at Operation Atlantico the first thing they did was switch out the local cops before the normal rotation.

According to Flip Flop they did a raid on a brothel in Sosua that the local cops knew would be empty again guys on the strip see and hear about that and Cartagena doesn't look so bad anymore.

Again it seems more about getting more Haitians deported than anything else a pure smoke and mirrors play to spook new mongers thinking about coming.

As I said any experienced veteran mongers tapped in to expat networks is good those that aren't ain´t.

If you been coming for years you will have a good time. I have an old friend who wants to introduce me to her friend that works at the All Inclusive she works at. But guys on their first sex tour might be.

They said they wanted to clean up Sosua well this is the result. There's been raids on several hoe houses before I thought they were going to be trafficking chicks all they did was scoop up chicks who might have been on PC and moved them to houses in PP. The DR needs to shit or get off the pot they don't want the girls on the streets so they go into houses and they bust them. I guess this was more about deporting Haitian women than prostitution supression.

Again if you're a monger and can avoid the DR I would advise it because clearly the DR wants the most savvy and culturally adept mongers to solicit students in random clubs in SD not deal with definded prostitutes in designated areas.

When you look across Sosua Bay, towards Charamicos, you see what looks like a massive condo development, perched atop the rocks.

What's going on there? I'm often asked.

Here's a short video, that covers the basics, but leaves out the context, under which this development was conceived and actually built.

Conceived in the 80's, it was a dream that was intended to establish Sosua as a rival to the old tired Playa Dorado, as the new star of the North Coast. It has a natural beautiful beach.

It was intended to a part of the total razing and re-location of the Charamicos barrio, and the installation of a new Marina.

The removal of the entire lower barrio on the river was actually accomplished to facilitate this.

But at the same time Punta Cana was the new hot spot for investment, cheap land and natural beaches. The PC airport opened in 1984, and the rest is history.

Lower Charamicos is still vacant land, with another abandoned and decaying hotel, and the beach and a restaurant, is used mostly by locals, and local fisherman, but still worth a visit to get a cold beer and some fresh seafood!

Sosua's efforts to shake off its international bad rep is ongoing, but sometimes it hits a dead end!

I'm betting it will be built eventually. , and it will put Sosua in a central economic hub with it's International Airport and prime location between Puerto Plata, Cabarete and Santiago.

An investment opportunity for the future, with economic development and much needed jobs.

Imagine half hour to PP, 15 minutes to Cab. And half hour to Santiago! The entire area would boom!

I'm not really sure where to ask this so giving it a try here. If I'm being blind and someone can point me to a better thread please let me know.

I am new to exploring the world of SW and so far have only been dabbling in my local AMP's in the USA. One thing I've been wondering about is if there are any services for pre-selecting a companion who then would pick you up at the airport and stay with you at a traditional All Inclusive resort (I would book it as 2 adults 1 room ahead of time). I have stayed All Inclusives all around the Caribbean but have 0 Spanish speaking skills so have never ventured off site. I assume that with how the All Inclusive system works that unless someone checks in with me at the same time I wouldn't be able to add someone to my stay. It seems like this would be a no brainer to have a service like this as the woman would get to enjoy the benefits of the AI while still getting paid for a guaranteed week.

Here's what I did as a newbie.

Went to Sosua for a week, met a girl I spent a few days with.

Went back to Sosua and booked her into Casa Marina as a paying guest. No surprises, and she lasted 7 years!

I'd say that chances of success trying to set something like that up with a stranger, are close to zero!

Thing about Sosua, you can go there with plans, but pleasant distractions are all around. In fact the big complaint about mongers, is that they set up meetings (sometime multiple) on line and then never show!

Imagine you are a Santo Domingo hoe, she meets a promising client online.

She may book the time, babysitter, salon, borrow bus fare, buy a new dress and show up at the bus station, to find nobody there. It happens often. Which is why over time the potential GFE's harden into butt burned scammers!

Aside from all that, 24 hours with a strange hoe, can get to be a cabin fever nightmare!

So try to accomplish your goal in two phases?
