Only good experience I've had was at the massage place right next to Hotel Lobelia. They had 4 girls working and luckily one of them was attractive. I think it was about $40 usd for FS.

Why you guys can not forget your home currency in another country. Stick with local value. 1000 Birr is for most people good money. If you give 3000 its excellent. But if any pro is asking $$ then run away!

Hey- I am visiting Dire Dawa (near Harar) again for work. I am referring to my report #2136 from 2021. I had a good time with Sifan 4 years ago at WOW Massage. Via Google Maps, the place still exists. No sign at the entrance of the villa, just some girls to be spotted through the half-open gate in the smoky yard. It was 7 pm, time for the Ethiopian incense ceremony, with incense heavily smoking on charcoal cookers. At least 12 girls were hurling around, they did not pay much attention to me! Strange, not so many ferenjis (foreigners) might be showing up here. One of them was remembering Sifon, "yes long ago and then back in Addis". The saloon was so full of incense smoke, it reminded me of being in a steam sauna LOL. Another girl spoke to me, so I decided to take her for a massage session: 300 birr = 1,50 Euro. Let's go. However, in the room, she instantly asked if I would pay "extra. " She wanted 4000 birr. No way, we agreed to 2000 birr = 10 Euro. But then she wanted the money in advance. That's not the style for Ethiopia. I quickly put on my shoes and left. I was not showered anyhow after a long working day, and I was coming for a relaxing touch, but not for sex, unless I would meet a very special girl.

But I was proud to have found the place again. Actually, I tried to find it the evening before, but I failed because I didn't see any sign for a massage. I counted the steps in the dark when walking back to the T-junction: 75 meters. You have to walk about 75 meters to the crossing road. There is a pizzeria nearby too. I checked their menu: only written in Amharic, I quickly left and told them "No English menu- les customers". Dira Dawa, a dusty place, no jacket needed at night, in Addis Abeba you do. Lots of Baja-3 wheel scooters, people are simply dressed. I checked on Google for other "massage spa", but none of their phones worked.

On my 1st excursion, a day before I just took some little money with me and left my iphone in the Hotel nearby, it was just 5 minutes walk through the dark streets. But I was quickly and distinctly walking, I think nobody would expect a foreigner around here in the dark. Nobody talked or bothered me, I think they will think if a foreigner walks quickly around here, he knows where to go. Its the question how fast they take notice of me at all with black cloth and a fishermans cap on? auro.

I was excited after reading Gesheft's Linda's Touch report from a few days back, but your report brings me back to earth.

I'm visiting for a week starting in a few days, staying at a hotel. I'm traveling with colleagues so need to be discreet. In the past the model delivery service was perfect for this scenario, but as others have noted they appear to be defunct (no reply to WhatsApp and Telegram messages).

Any experience with arifgirls dot com or addisgirls dot com? They all seem to link to the same set of massage services.

I'll certainly report back on my experiences, and I welcome any suggestions.

The girl I chose was smoking hot in her picture, but the girl who showed up was straight up ugly. 5-10 years older than girl in photo, very skinny, no curves, bad skin, Well below the average girl you see walking on Airport Rd on the weekends. I told Linda's I'm canceling and they're clearly using fake pictures. I offered the girl a ride back, as I thought she might not have even known.

Also, visited an MP on Mickey Leland (Morocco Wash I think). Girls there were all chunky, but I was in a mood. Got a happy ending for 2800 birr (800 to house, 2000 to girl), she initially said 5000, which I laughed off, but she refused to go lower than 2000 despite my insistence on 1500. Eventually I caved. I wouldn't repeat here, or probably any other MP I don't see a great review for after this.

Asking now for 15.000 Birr. And apparently getting them -- shows how idiotic the tourists are, thinking in $$ only and having no clue about the economics of a country where they travel to.

There was a short while an inflation rate of 30%, but average since 2 years is about 15% . Offering them 6000 to 8000 Birr will be more than generous.

Average salary was still 14.000 to 18.000 ETB. A month. Anyway. Time to head to Habesha Country. Currency all but worthless since the IMF forced Ethiopia to float their currency. Same as Angola and Nigeria. Which are both on my bucket list. The major challenge will be frequent trips to the ATM. As the biggest denomination note is still 200 BIRR. That's 8000 BIRR a pull. Unless it's a new machine which dispenses 60 Banknotes.

Yes the girl I had was the same as the pic.

Skylight lobby. Sorry no experience. But could well be the case as it is the biggest hotel with mainly transit pax. So a lot of movement there.

Street girls and massage places all over town for peanuts. Like $20 was the top paid. With $10 being often enough.

In July 24 the USD / ETB was $1=58 ETB. So a room visit would cost maybe 2 k ETB - $35 max for a couple of hours of full services.

Today Addis is a brightly lit (too brightly maybe) clean and modern city (an overnight revolution).

The massage places and street girls are now limited to the Checnya area.

Now the USD / ETB rate is floating at around 150-153!

A room call massage will start at a minimum of ETB6000 ($39) with any other services as an extra. So a full service or even happy end will be ETB10 K ($65) as a minimum!.

Not wanting to take a taxi across town (and taxi apps are crap here) - I have used a new "agency" for room service.

Their spa place is being renovated so outcall is available.

They are expensive. More than the average ETB 10 k going minimum.

Are you saying the girls were just waiting around in the lobby for customers? The only hotel I've stayed at on Ethiopian layover is Skylight, but I don't think that's what you're talking about. I wish I understood your riddle so I could stay at this hotel. Any more hints?
