Well-said and exactly to the point. In my case I had face timed with a lawyer, a boutique owner, a dentist, and some others over a couple months in advance having met them through social media. I got their WhatsApp, Instagram or FB and spent a fair deal of time making a personal connection with them, all "normal" people. Yet I reached the conclusion that my mission objective was to monger as much as possible and not date or find a girlfriend. After all said and done I was on the ground for 3 1/2 days and given the goal to satisfy my thirst as much as possible my approach had to accommodate this timeframe. That's why I abandoned the original social media approach.

Hesitating between these places.

I know Tijuana well and have been several times. My system is perfectly set up that I can bang 10 chicks a day if I want to there, without moving from the hotel. But I'm a bit bored of Tijuana and want to explore new horizons LOL.

I meant that the best way to spend your money is to use your credit card at any business that accepts credit cards such as markets, restaurants, etc. instead of using cash.

You guys are probably not good at pre-planning then. There is nothing like setting up a harem weeks before your trip, getting down there and actually being in between your fantasy chick and getting around to 90% of your list.

I do look for chicks online beforehand, but normal non-pros to date and get to know and do normal stuff with. Most of the time when I deal with hookers it is a one and done, so I don't put a bunch of stock into finding them and cultivating them. To me they are just like fast food.

Flight out of MDE early afternoon so the night before I arranged to have Laura the student to come at 9:00 for another round before we go for breakfast and airport. She showed up on time and my buddy wanted to fuck her instead. 10 minutes later he came out saying he didn't like the hanging skin on her snatch; picky man I think he had no appetite! I made the sacrifice and stepped up to the task. Laura wanted to stay and asked if I wanted another round but it was time to go. There will be another trip to MDE for certain hopefully longer than 3.5 days next time.

Observations which many of you probably already know:

-Use no foreign transaction fee credit cards for restaurants and you get the best exchange rate. A few restaurants add a surcharge for CC use but the menu should state it.

-No need for Colombia Cupid, FB, or other online methods unless your trip is sufficiently long. I wasted much time chatting up CC girls but the immediate on ground talent appeared just as good. Certainly a few gems can be found online but they consume effort and time and the outcome is not any more certain. My feeling is that the online ones are no more or less pro or semi-pro than what you might find in any of the bars.

-Most if not all of the high-end regular apartments prohibit escorts, loud parties, or drug use. However, friendliness and taking care of the security guards has tangible benefits. Just don't abuse the rules.

-Strip joints were a hit and miss, some cuties and not many beauties. Also be cautious of your surroundings.

-El Poblado seems to be where the new money is. Saw Ferrari, Hummer limos, Audi R8, Benz and beammers mostly Bogota plates. Also explains why some chicas wanted 400 K for an hour, albeit 9's. As a point of comparison, a SW in centro told my buddy 30 K.

-Taxis and metro are cheap and efficient. Make sure driver turns on the taxi meter, small screen right by the rearview mirror. Minimum fare is 5 K.

Yes in years past I would start a month or so before my planned trip but every time I got so busy with other venues and chicas that I met and followed through with maybe 2 or 3 out of the bunch.

From my personal experiences, they usually charge you in COP when not asking, but sometimes they charge in US dollar. That irritates me. I got tired of asking them to charge me in COP, but now I try to tell them to charge me in COP.

Some business owners will ask their employee to charge in US dollars. But most of the time, I think it's just ignorance of the employee.

Totally true. Also some ATMs using the debit function ask with or without conversion to your currency. NEVER accept conversion paying with credit card or taking cash from ATM. The exchange rate is some 3% 4% worse. They offer clear charging in your currency for the sake of clearness, but it's a pricey "service".

I am very pissed off when the restaurant charges the amount on my VISA with conversion to EUR. As you say, they basically do it for ignorance.

What you don't know is that the CREDIT function will charge 4% extra on top of all other fees and the slightly higher exchange rate. Pretty obvious, as with a DEBIT card you take your money from your bank account, with a CREDIT you BORROW it. They are lending you money and they charge a fee (VISA and MASTERCARD live on that).

I take no chances, I read the fine print. If both cards charges no fees and if the ATM debit card refunds the foreign ATM charge, then both exchange rates are the virtually the same.

The credit card will have a better effective rate if you calculate the credit card rewards.

With the exchange rate hovering around 3100-3200 and local places only giving 2850 its better to use CCs as long as your CC company doesn't charge an international fee. Make sure to be billed ok cop and your CC company will give the best exchange rate.

Whats the most anyone has brought into Colombia without hassle? Please specify when it was.

On various information sites, I keep seeing 2 liters. But I have brought more than that on several occassions.

Just wonderring if anyone has ever hit the limit and got burned.

If I recall the custom declaration form had no mention of alcohol. That would 'imply' there is no limit. I brought 2 one Lit bottles, no one checked anything.

Did some touristy stuff like taking the metro and the cable cars to Parque Arvi. Visited Envigado Mall followed by a good filet mignon steak at Restaurant Mondongo, great service too. My buddy had to have a chica so we ended up at Conejitas again as soon as it opened and he went upstairs right away. I pulled one with a cute face but made a rookie mistake and didn't notice her baggy outfit. After the shower she wouldn't remove the towel until the lights were low and noticed serious baby damage, a turnoff for me. K9 ed the shit out of her til finish and no propina just the 70 K fee.
