Hotels ask the ids of Guests when they check in, does the same apply to visitors during the day? I spoke to a number of 5 star hotels and they said they require an ID, please share your experience.

You can call anyone in daytime at any 5 star hotel, best is you see her in the lobby spend some time and proceed to room there is high chance no one will ask you any thing, also even if the visitor is smart then she could directly make it in the room. Still at times one could be stopped and asked for an ID.
