I just landed in Bogota on Delta coming from Atl. I tried 2 ATM's and for some reason they didn't have a signal and I couldn't even get taxi fare I've never seen anything even close to that in the airport, in fact it's been years that I even look at the money changers. XE has the official number at 3605 today.

At the airport a few hours ago and I did not fell like waiting in line for the ATM so I thought it would not kill me to change a $ 10 bill for the taxi for pesos from those bandits. At the window there was a sign saying one dollar =3600 pesos. This was better than the rate I just got at the ATM a little while ago.
25 mil for the taxi to Santa Fe.
Go figure.

Posts: 32I hate to be this guy
But I am looking for a good value place with no issues with bringing girls near Santa Fe (walking distance) for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
I live in Medellin but know Bogota pretty well.
Just need a little advice here, thanks!

Even though I had my shots I am still home playing it safe.
At least I can mark them as closed. Maybe they will reopen at some time.
I have been putting dates on each one when someone posts about the places to make it easier to know that's what.

Posts: 1114Lots of places have disapeared due to lockdowns, Lalo, El Padrino, Olimpo, Lewinski, Juan pablo Zhivago, Lancaster to name a few of them. But as we are still not back to normal its too early to try to update everything.

Posts: 1114You will defintively have a better rate in ATM than with cash $ in casa de cambios.

Posts: 1307Long shot request. Seems to me the population of the greater Bogota area is somewhere over 10 million. Just so you are not holding your breath for an answer.

Where would you get the $1,000 worth of COP? If you get it from a bank in the USA they will rip you a new asshole.

Hello, I'll be in Bogota in July. Really looking forward to it. I need all why'all's help. Has anyone dealt with Samii Villareal (twitter: at SamiVillareal). Here's the link to her profile: https://twitter.com/SamiVillareal.
I responded to one of your fleets on twitter, and we've been corresponding all day today. Is she legitimate or a 200 lbs gorilla? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello guys,
I am planning to go to Bogota at the last week of August. Mongering in Chicago or US in general is getting expensive. This will be my first time going outside of the freedom land. I am booking an airbnb in the northern area; north of calle 100. I am planning on using SA and Bumble and agencies during my trip. And if I feel adventures I might visit few masajes.
My question is, is it better to bring $1,000 worth of COP with me or should I use ATM to get the cash daily?
