Posts: 2884Even better is one of those teeny tiny foldable towels like you got from a camping supply store. Fit perfectly in your fashionable murse. At times I've considered carrying a spare pair of under shorts.

Posts: 7748Terminal 21 is off the chain
Called Pier 21 and I absolute concur with this. You give them cash and they give you a card that you can load up to 500 THB. Hard to spend 200 THB even if you are really hungry. Great movie theater next to Pier 21. There is also a gourmet Thai Food restaurant that has won awards. But I have not eaten there. Terminal 21 is like my second home. I like the place!

When you sit down they give you a nice refrigerated wash cloth. Their Larb Moo & Green Curry were good and plentiful, not really cheap though. Don't know if Det5 is still in operation or not, haven't been back since a few years before the Chyna virus.

I always carry some toilet paper in my pocket when in Thailand. LOL My Thai buddy says the secret to getting around Thailand without sudden toilet emergencies is to never drink the broth from your noodle bowl. LOL.

Posts: 2884It's Rule 97.5, Section 2 of Travelers Rules for Life: There is a distinct correlation between the time of sudden attack of diarrhea and the filthiness / stench of the nearest toilet.

Back in the day, we used Vicks Vaporub. Try being around a 6 day floater in the summer without it.

Posts: 136The stuff some Thai people sniff. What is it?
I've been to Thailand several times. I've noticed that many Thai ladies have something the shape of chapstick that they put up to their nose and sniff. For some it seems like it is an addiction. What exactly is that stuff?

Not exactly Nana but just a 5 to 10 minutes walk from there.

Nothing fancy, just a typical Thai restaurant.
They serve good food, but it can be crowded at times.

Posts: 6804Haven't had it since pre COVID but Thermae has good pad ka prao. Sometimes I ordered fries there too and they are always crispy. The fries are fun cause the girls would come to me and steal some.

Posts: 2884You going to get some arguments, but in my humble opinion, there is no super great Thai food in the Nana area. The seafood is overpriced by the way. I tend to eat on Soi Arab, Scherezade is good, so is Bamboo. Margarita storm for Mexican. Believe it or not, Thermae have some decent Thai food as does Nana. I prefer to go down to Phra Kanong, Phrom Pong or Silom or Yaowarat.

Posts: 163Thai Food near Nana Area
Does anyone have suggestions for decent Thai food near the Nana area? One thing I love about traveling to Thailand is their delicious food.

Posts: 163Thanks for the idea. I did just what you said. A friend is dropping off his old phone for us to use for a month tomorrow for the cost of a lunch.
