I normally stay on Soi 8 when in Bangkok, so have been past Lolita's and Kasalong many times. Most of their girls go into the 'not even if it was free' category. So how wet is the wet season. Does it seriously impinge on nocturnal activities?

Billboard is packed almost every night and there are a lot of girls. I would say that the quality during has gone down a bit since around New Years. Barfined 6 girls this past trip and each time I was quoted 700 + 4000 for ST. Some would negotiate with me but others did not budge.

If it just rains it's not a problem.

If it floods, however, beware. Don't Wade through the floods. There are things in the water. Horrible things, loathsome and bloodthirsty. The rain starts their life cycle and when it floods they are ready to feed. Hungry, slathering, needing the Taste of blood and flesh. You step in the flood, and the next thing you know, your feet have been stripped to the Bone as you scream and agony and the boys in brown attempt to pull you to safety.

The worst is at night, when they surf the floods in empty pizza boxes and plastic cups leading to the rending of Flesh not only below the water, but above. Think of the horror at you watch them swarm a lady boy ripping and tearing at the parts not needed anymore. I remember seeing a group of Indian tourists who were just happily sharing a Coke before the creatures surfed down on them with teeth slashing and chattering, leaving nothing but skeletons holding hands.

If you didn't know why Thailand empties out during rainy season, you do now. Beware.

The horror stories are probably to a large extent true, but I wouldn't let that stop me from coming.

There are days (evenings usually) when Bangkok will be flooded to the extent you will not be able to drive a car / get a taxi for a few hours as the roads are so flooded, and you should avoid walking at this time due to very real risks of electrocution or other bad things, but while the rainfall is heavy, it is also mostly over in an hour or two.

It's not bad enough to factor into my decisions on whether to go or not. Merly a minor annoyance occasionally when you're planning to meet someone, and they send you a picture of their flooded outside and say they can't come.

By contrast my one desperate Kasalong experience the lady was old not attractive and the facilities downright scary.

These don't belong in the same sentence IMO. Pay the extra few bucks and go to 7 Heaven. It's no contest.

On recent trips I visited Maria, Black Caviar, Emmanuelle, La Belle, Poseidon, Tara (by the airport) and Utopia. I agree with you that Maria is overpriced. For me, Emmanuelle (reopened), La Belle, and Tara had the hottest girls in the 6-8,000 THB price range, which is their highest price tier.

Meanwhile 6-7,000 is the lowest price tier at Maria. Also, the girls at Maria are hard to see up-close because they sit at the back of this wide platform / stage. The most expensive girls at Maria (15,000+) were NOT hotter imo than the most expensive girls at La Belle etc (8,000). But Maria had 3 x more girls.

Like you, I was shorted on time. I assumed it's 90 minutes but the last girl (at Poseidon?) said it was 60. Next time I'll be sure to confirm 90 minutes beforehand.

How did you like Emmanuelle, Tara or Maria? I thought La Belle was good and close to Soi 11. Black Label was a really, really nice upscale club but Bangkok traffic didn't make it worth it and the girls were good but just as good as La Belle.

I always use motorbike so I always use Bolt (like min or two wait, car figure is alot longer), always 20-30% cheaper when I compare but this is chump change to us tourist anyways LOL.

Figure most of you might be taller fellas so yea if u using car Grab would be a lot faster. Used it a few times when not traveling solo

In Bangkok Bolt is too unreliable to be useful, the motorbikes are ok though, but Grab is the way to go. Bolt cars always say they are coming but never do in Bangkok. Just use Grab.

Outside of Bangkok Bolt is the one I usually use and offers better rates.
