Posts: 786As Fatnbroke was summarize what happened.
One thing that stood out.
He was told he could come back next day no problem (special vissa. Hahaha). He didn't believe it and Smirked about it.
I believe it to be true as I done research. My question is if you are in Timbuktu and want the Special Visa how do you pay for it?
Apple pay, Google, PayPal? I assume Visa and Mastercard are out.

Posts: 6198For a number of years I entered the country many times during a year. From same day in and out to a couple of weeks. I used BKK as my asian hub. One year I recorded 19 entry stamps and never ever had a single question.

Posts: 2204Your posts give zero information for us to learn from your experience. Why not get a proper visa? We all know that there are different rules for different nationalities. Your story makes me think that in 2023 you did something wrong, got caught, were allowed to go home. Now in 2024 you are trying to get back into Thailand and the immigration officer is saying that Thailand doesn't want you because of your past (or current) actions. Now you are saying that Thailand is being unreasonable because the Gregorian calendar has flipped to a new year, which isn't even the year used by the Thai people.

Some of my close friends have used extensions, but none of us has ever had a problem. I'm sure you did something specific that violates Thai rules, you just don't want to say what it is. You prefer to just complain about your situation. Sorry you traveled far to be rejected, but it's difficult to have sympathy when you don't tell us the whole story, including what immigration claims to be the problem. How did you get admitted in 2023? Why no proper visa in 2024? What’s different?
For those of us who have not yet pissed off Thai immigration, you can easily determine your required documents and eligibility to travel using the Thai E-Visa website.

Posts: 786Simple guys. They just don't want you in Thailand on tourist visas and 30 day exempts.
Get proper Visa they say.
The problem is they don't tell you how much is too much. Immigration officer Discretion.
Breaking FatnBroke just got detained by Thai immigration. He is streaming from Holding Area. No way he stayed Thailand too much so have no idea what they got him for.
His Chat is having a ball. Content content content.

Posts: 519I would try to talk to a lawyer that specializes in this. Perhaps they flagged you for doing too many visa runs.

Posts: 6804Then why were you denied entry? You mentioned that you were there a lot in 2023. What type of Visa are you coming in with? If more than 180 days without something like an OA Visa or too many quick 30 day free entries then you will not get in. I don't know the proper terminology but I call these overstays. Good luck in September. Depending on why they said you were denied entry you may or may not get in.

Posts: 13Please guys can someone confirm that the Adelphi hotel is currently guests friendly. In 2023 that was the case, but I asked the hotel team and they don't respond. I like the hotel but if they changed the policy I will cancel the reservation and move to another one that confirms me.
Thanks a lot.

Wow great post! You said you were not doing an interview in a bar. How did you meet her? From online dating? Or which website?

How long have you met her and how often do you see her?
I'm curious if people get bored even with ATF's after years.

Posts: 2204What was it about your 2023 record that caused them to deny entry? Do they think you overstayed but you think you did not overstay?

Posts: 786Here in lies the problem. There is a note immigration will show you if you are led for further investigation. They can do whatever they want. They have Full Discretionary Control.

If you are 2 week Sexpest no worries.
If you stayed last year 11 out of 12 months on 60 day tourist visas and 30 day exempt s you might have problem.
Anyways one guy told me September should be fine. As it will be three months between departure and entry.
What they don't want is you depart and come back 2-3 weeks later. Educated Guess.

Same as "visa exemption scheme" at the Thai border.
If an individual and his passport (s) are in the list the system will alert the IO.
It's even worst being denied on arrival as the individual will be sent back to his origin point with the first available flights.
And all expenses on him / her.
Being denied visa by the embassy, at least, will save the traveling costs.
