Thanks for the reports. I was in Chiang Mai just a few months ago, and the hotel I was staying at surprisingly had flyers for Pink X. Will have to check out Pink X the next time I visit Chiang Mai.

While I was there, I did check out Sayuri. In terms of looks, I wasn't too impressed. The women were mostly 6's and 7's IMO. Service was definitely good. But my pricing was different from yours. I was told the following prices:

1800 baht ($54) for the "regular" women. These were the ones sitting on the right side of the fishbowl, behind the transparent glass; and.

2200 baht ($66) for the "model" women. These were the younger looking ones sitting on the left side of the fishbowl, without any transparent glass.

I checked Google reviews of Sayuri, and others also confirmed the same pricing. So my question is, why did they make you pay more? Is it the "farang tax"? I don't know if you're a "farang" or not, just taking a guess here. For reference, I am of Asian ethnicity (not Thai) from America, but I was able to speak a little bit of Thai to the guys running the place, so I can only presume they gave me the local pricing because of ethnicity.

Last year when I was in Chiang Mai I tried Fiwi Fans. The results were disappointing. The handlers wanted taxi fare in advance and the girls that showed up were heavily photoshopped from the website images.

This year I decided to check out some of the walk-in places. Not massage parlors, but outright brothels.

I visited Pink X, Sayuri Complex and Blue Dolphin.

Easily the best was Pink X. I visited in the early afternoon. The place is bright and classy and welcoming. You are greeted with a free drink and the menu is explained by a cute girl.

I chose the lowest tier "model" and confirmed that it was 2,800 Bht ($82) for full service for an hour.

5 girls were brought out. I selected the nicest looking one who was also smiling at me. She lead me upstairs to the room which had a shower in the corner. All the furnishings were nice. She did not start the timer util we entered the shower together.

This girl was not only beautiful, but had a gorgeous body. She did have a few tattoos but they were on her back. I was lucky that she was fluent in English and was a great conversationalist. I had an outstanding, unrushed, non-mechanical session with her.

I couldn't have been happier with her or Pink X. Highly recommended.

The room was darkish and had mirrors on the walls and ceiling. There wasn't a shower, so she scrubbed me in the tub. The air conditioning was comfortable. The girl herself was attentive and quite beautiful.

I was happy with the visit and it was fun to see the old Shanghai-type fishbowl again.

Finally, I visited the Blue Dolphin. This was a major step down from the other two. There was a small viewing room. The pappa-san calls the girls out and they line up for you. There were 5 in the lineup I saw. I specified I wanted DATY. The price was 2,500 Bht ($73) for one hour and one shot.

I picked one of the girls and she immediately started the timer – before we went upstairs. The room was old and shabby, the shower was wet and the towel was threadbare.

The room was quite hot. I asked her to turn on the air conditioning. She set it at 30 C (86 F) and said that she was not allowed to turn it down any further. It was much too warm for comfort!

She put on some odd repetitive music. The session was fine. She was a 6 or 7 and friendly – not mechanical.

Overall, I was not impressed with the place. For 100 Bht ($3) more, Sayuri was much better. For 300 Bht ($9) more, Pink X was a standout.

A couple years ago, I was in Chang Mai and had a delightful romp at a brothel, but I can't remember its name or where it was. The outside was gray and it had a blue neon sign, if memory serves. There was the best lineup I've seen in a decade, and the girl's name was "iPhone," I believe. (Strange to name your child that.) She was super cute and funny as hell!

I'm going back to CM in January, this time staying on Sri Poom Rd (old part of city? Near Wat Mo Kham Tuang). Any recommendations near there? Will be traveling with others, and so I'd need an establishment, rather than meeting a freelancer, as the excursion (s) need to run like clockwork.

To start, let me thank Buksida for the hotel reservation. Outstanding. For me not having been in Chiang Mai in a long time, it was quite a different experience. Culturally it was fabulous. The sightseeing, visit to the Tiger and Elephant Preserves were excellent. Food was great. I probably had the best Peking Duck I've ever had in my life at a Michelin Restaurant for a grand total of $45 dollars with tip and drinks in Chiang Mai.

The sex scene is a different story. The best thing going is the beer bars in The Muai Thai Boxing Stadium. Plenty of fun and flirting but in all honesty in 3 days and 2 nights. I didn't take one girl home. My buddy and I came to find out the strip clubs have all been closed. We ran into a tout along the strip who tried to entice us into going to a brothel in a hotel. We declined. A tuk tuk driver took us to a Karaoke bar claiming we could get laid. Once inside it took a nano second to realize we were about to be ripped off and politely departed.

The saving grace were the many massage parlors that extend out from Duangtawan hotel on Loi Kroh. We stopped a couple of days for massages. Very cute girls. The best I did on two visits was a BBBJ but no cum in the mouth and the other a great HJ from a gorgeous girl. Both gave A+ massages that were worth every baht.

As said we were only here for 3 days and 2 nights. Beautiful city. I'm sure with more time and better language capability there is more to be had.
