Hello all,

I will be visiting a friend in Taiwan the first week of September from LA and plan on visiting Bangkok for the first time as well. I plan on staying maybe 1-2 weeks in Thailand before I head back to Taiwan and then subsequently go home. Can you please share with me any and all insight / recommendations for a beginner like me? For example, Captain mentioned in another thread that he recommends Boss Suites on Soi 4, a 4 star hotel. Seems like sticking close to NANA is the way to go? Any other hotel suggestions that are clean and comfortable that is also affordable?

If I needed to get around to let's say a massage parlor or a wanted to check out Soi Cowboy, what is the best cheap / safe means of local transportation?

Have people had good experiences with FIWFANS? Any bad experiences?

It is hit and miss. If you don't speak Thai, it will be more miss than hit. Thai Friendly freelancers are better for you or find them in Thermal cafe. However, the prices won't be the same. If you want a huge selection of freelancers that speak enough English and aren't scared of foreigners for a decent price, Pattaya is better than Bangkok. I speak Thai and even I have had my share of bad experiences, but the good ones were really good.

Thailand. T. T currency exchange. If you plan to come 3 or more times per year, you can open a Thai bank account as a tourist. Then no need to worry about this. However, you will need the help of an agent. About 5000 baht give or take 500 baht either way.

Is 1 week too short or is 2 weeks too long just to monger and explore a little?

10 days is perfect. Not too long and not too short.

Are there even decent activities besides mongering in Bangkok?

1. Shopping.

2. Visiting temples.

3. Enjoying all the great cuisine.

4. Chatting up real local girls in the malls, BTS stations, in RCA, and on Kowsan Rd.

5 Day trips or an overnight to Pattaya.

Thanks, but I lived in Thailand, off and on, for about 10 years once upon a time. I also know that now, at 50 years of age, both the quantity and quality of civilian girls I get is very different from 20 years ago, and I'm not going to fool myself by pretending otherwise.

Yes, I do still bang girls less than half my age (I'm hoping to bang tomorrow the, I guess around 23-24 years old, waitress that was serving my dinner this evening at one of the marriot hotels), but while 20 years ago I'd take it for granted that we will meet tomorrow (she said it was her day off), or she might even have asked me to meet after her shift was over, today I think my odds of even meeting her again are just 50/50.

On the other hand, in the west that would be just 1/10, if she would even bother to pretend being interested.

20 years ago my hobby was banging 20 year old (and younger, at least one was 19) bar-girls, including go-go bar girls, for free when they had no customers. Today that's not happening.

I am missing your point. Your previous reply was a sarcastic reply implying that girls don't want to be seen with older guys for many reasons. These are just a few questions off the top of my head as I write this post.

For slight perspective, I am in my mid thirties and resigned from work this year. I am taking some time off and am traveling solo on a budget. Looking to have fun and expecting to spend / indulge a little but always down to save money where I can. I am into natural looking girls / women with sweet demeanor whether they are bubbly or reserved. And I only speak English.

There is def a Bunny in Nana plaza. It was new maybe a year ago? Guess it's an outpost of the other one because the logo is the same. Double checked and you can see it in the pics of Nana on Google. Fifth pic in. It would back right up to the exterior Bunny but clearly can't be connected or all the Nana security would be defeated. I enjoyed my time w two chicks in that Bunny and then took one out. She was a wildcat and went to bareback when I struggled to pop one off. Then didn't want me to pay full price because she didn't get me off. A real sweetheart actually.

The bunny Go-Go in Nana is owned by the same folks that own rainbow.

Since it was mentioned in discussion, for whatever reason, Facebook I keep getting this place " Drink Bar " it seem to be local in the Bangkok area from the video it is a large place for Thais, not sure if advertisement is fake or what but from looking they must have capture all the 10 plus girls working in the country. Sure looks as we have talked but these are real lookers next time Bangkok get away I'm going to try my best to track the place down just to verify.

Thai venue north of the airport. Awhile back I started to hang out mainly at the Thai venues with some of my local connects. Yep, I gave up Walking Street, Nana, and Soi Cowboy in last few trips to Pattaya and Bangkok. Found myself staying in areas like Thonburi, Silom, and Huai Kwang instead of near Terminal 21 Asoke. Now I avoid Sukhumvit entirely. Feels so scammish to me after all this years. I balk at girls demanding 2500-5000 now, even for top shelf GoGo types. Why because there are better deals to be had at the local venues. All I can say, is it is a whole new ball game when you are with the locals in their party places. Can't say the girls that work these places are receptive to all foreigners, but they are good with me. I am never looking back. Those who know what I am talking about just know. Mummm is the word. My pocket book and schlong has thanked me. Old age question if you find gems in a cave, do you let your buddies know?

I don't know anything about this place but it looks okay on facebook. The problem is it's very far from where most of us stay and party. 40+ kilometers from my condo in Bangkok traffic? No thanks unless going for a special occasion.

The sign is still there. Business is good there. They were quite busy at about 3 pm.

I was there yesterday, and when I entered my little cubicle, the pair in the next cubicle were going at it hard. Sex is not on the official menu (I have a vague recollection that possibly it was before, but I'm not sure), but these two were going at it loud and clear. If I were to guess, and that's just a guess, the extra tip would be around 1,000 for this.

Another somewhat similarly "up-scale" BJ-bar is bit-style on soi 22, inside one of the small sois near the big marriot hotel, same side. Every girl is different. Some won't care and some will care. I can tell you that it is more accepted in Thai culture for a man to be much older than it is in western culture. I see many normal office girls with married kiks and even older boyfriends.
