I've had baht bus drivers late at night just stop my ride at Soi 7 or something if I'm the only customer and he wants to head up Central Pattaya Road to go home. I don't pay them when they cut my "expected route" short.

I've had that happen to me, on the last trip there were a number of us on a bus when a group on people with suitcases stopped the driver to make a deal, it must have been a good price as we got kicked off at Central Pattaya Road. I did not pay the driver as well.

Which Soi 6 bar is charging 500 for the room now?

Isn't the baht bus similar to those taxi de ruta vans in Tijuana where you flag them down and hop in and then it drives along a fixed route and you yell something to the driver when you want to get out (in Mexico it's bajan) then you hop out and pay the driver the fee, preferably exact amount in coins or a small bill. I imagine if you paid with a large bill this would be problematic as the driver may not have enough change to give you back your change, and it would take him time to stop anf count out the money for your change even if he did have it. From my life experience in different countries, I would say always carry coins on you for the baht bus.

Actually I don't see any advantage to either You can be both a tourist and a regular if you regularly visit places when you are in Thailand as a tourist. The biggest advantage is knowledge. I am not saying that there were not low quality older ladies before. But there used to be younger and hoter girls in ordinary bars. There has been a huge fall of quality in Pattaya. I was surprised when I entered Pinup this July and saw what a fall in quality there has been compared to July 2022.

Treetown, mythnight, soi 7 and soi 8 is all very low quality with some exceptions. I think its unsustainable in the long run. Most people will not pay for flight and holiday to go to a bar with overweight 40+ ladies. No way.
