Been in Pattaya a few days now, some random observations:

-A lot of talk on this forum regarding lack of quality and ladies being on the older side. It's true from my estimation. Not a lot of lookers, but a lot of tattooed, out of shape ladies.

-After the weekend traffic subsided, one can see that there are not a lot of tourists, specifically monger tourists. The bars are dead. The ladies are desperate for business. Of course it's low season, but I was here at the same time last year and it appears much slower to me. Also noticed, less Indian tourists as well. Haven't seen any at the hotel I'm staying at.

-How desperate are the ladies, well my first session was with a lady I saw last year. I pinged her and she was on her way to my hotel in an instance. I like this chick, we have a goody, teasing vibe between one another. After chillin in bed and joking around for an hour, the deed starts, I can smell something, of course it was her vagina. Pattaya is just like any other destination. You have to search for what you want. In Sosua, 2018 Sosua I mean, you could have a boots on the ground great time but you had to seriously search for it. 90% of the girls were hardcore but you could find the gems. Pattaya is no different, you can find some decent girls in their late 20's and early 30's in the beer bars but you really do have to search and you also have to get them before some other asshole scoops them up before you.

For the higher end girls, LK Metro and Walking street, but I honestly enjoy the hunt in the beer bars and Soi 6 more fun.

On a strange side note. It boggles my mind how back in the USA, so many old shore towns on the east coast are dying which used to be huge summer tourist destinations. They really should pick a few of those towns and open up a regulated red light district to revive those towns. Those towns would end up with the same vibe as Pattaya.

Well in Pattaya, even if the girls are standing on the other side of Beach Road the cops will not bat an eye. Only when they are on the beach side is when a violation occurs. So it seems it is not the act, but the location.

My first night ever in Pattaya I walked almost the entire length of Beach Road and there were only about 4 girls available on the water side. Perhaps there were 10 or 15 on the land side. Second night wasn't much better. I was aware that there was some sort of police action that kept the girls away, but I never learned exactly what it was. There have been various times where police close down groups of small bars for unknown reasons. When I asked girls why bars closed, they simply would say that the police closed the bars. With less market participants competition is limits allowing the older girls to increase over all market prices. I pay on beauty and age scale. A older gal is not going to get more than 1500 out of me and that is if I think they very attractive.

One of the advantages of the girls in Thailand from my perspective is that there are some very well kept older girls where I do not feel I am losing out because she is not 18 - 20 years old. The youngest I have had since I've been in Thailand is 20. Getting the pussy out of her was difficult. Understood brother. Why do I like King Kong? No games. I walk up and the girls ask me what I want: I want to get my dick sucked. Being from the US I honestly feel you're missing out if you are not hitting up Vienna venues like Relax Studio. The costs in Europe are unbelievably low, you can easily bang outside Frankfurt BBFS for 50 euros. The same service in the USA is 250-400 USD.

Please link and quote the portion in a title or section of the Thai Penal Code or any other enforceable edict that states prostitution between consenting adults is illegal in Thailand.

Well in Pattaya, even if the girls are standing on the other side of Beach Road the cops will not bat an eye. Only when they are on the beach side is when a violation occurs. So it seems it is not the act, but the location.

True. But I suspect if you and I are standing in those same areas and for as long, the cops would probably not bat an eye or round us up and arrest us for loitering. The rounding up of girls or ladyboys in that way is really meant to "suppress" (to reference a certain interesting word) the public flaunting of prostitution, which Thailand has always outlawed in one way or another. Lord forbid a casual observer think an actual prostitution "industry" is allowed to exist here.

But Thai law has nothing to say about consenting adults exchanging sex for money in private. Unlike the televised sting operation busts of such an exchange or attempt to do so in hotel rooms that we have all seen in, say, Las Vegas or almost any big city in the USA, no official crime is being committed between a prostitute and his / her customer in Thailand when it is done that way.

Now, what could be new and different in that PREVENTION and SUPPRESSION of Prostitution Act (why not say criminalized, outlawed or made illegal with no reference to setting up a business, soliciting in public, profiting from someone else doing all the work, etc? But I digress) is the part where the Act addresses the customer and prostitute who negotiate a P4 P deal in public or on a social network app.

However, there again, an argument could be made that those are "public" events in that it is being done on the street and there are third parties aware of whatever is being discussed on most social network apps. Several such apps already ban people for that kind of conversation. Some even enforce restrictions for someone asking for money for any reason, not just in exchange for sex.

Still, has anyone ever seen, read or heard of a punter getting arrested for chatting up and negotiating a deal with anyone in front of the Nana Hotel sign on Soi 4 in Bangkok? Beach Road in Pattaya? Anywhere else in all of Thailand, ever? I haven't.

So what would be the fix for avoiding getting busted for anything listed in the Thai Penal Code AND that Act referenced by EverythingThai? I suppose if the only negotiations for P4 P are done face to face, not in public and without anyone associated with the establishment or hotel in which the deal is made and consummated raking off a percentage of the money action, everybody is all clear. That should definitely be a warning against a mamasan or bar management even hinting that the girl's fee should be handed to them upfront. They get to put their hands on the barfine. That is all. But that has been addressed in the Thai Penal Code all along as well.

I would still be very surprised if any arrest of punters or prostitutes occurred in accordance with what is suggested in that SUPPRESSION ACT regarding a negotiation for P4 P in a bar or on Line. But, hey, TIT. I suppose they can twist anything into that "creating a public nuisance" category if they really wanted to.
