Posts: 5459I was pinged on Messenger by a "lady" who is on Facebook normally in tiny bikinis. When I say "pinged", it was obviously a Farang catfishing me. She's got multiple FB accounts, so no idea if the one contacting me was the official account or not, although the account was posting photos of her regularly. I did notice that the account was just opened last month.
I occasionally got messages from her, which I usually deflected.
Finally, I got a message asking if I wanted to meet her, which I declined.
After that, "she" asked if I wanted to see X-rated content, which I also declined.
I suspect the whole thing was a scam to collect my credit card info.
Just posted as a possible scam alert.

Posts: 5459Does anyone else have Facebook contacts for frequent bar fines?
Since I have a rotation of ladies, I've got FB for most of them (there are a couple who are LINE only). Usually, it's their real FB, so they show their Thai boyfriends, and lots of posts about their kids.
Some show their Farang customer boyfriends (which is why I never pose for photos with bar girls).
There are ladies I haven't seen for years who are still on my FB.

Posts: 991First about the Go Go bars on walking street, let's compare them to Horizon at the Hilton.Their cost of doing business is much higher too, rent and so on, location also plays a big part in that , as well. Then Soi 6, whoever said that area is supposed to be cheaper. I compare it to Sizzler. Then the gents clubs and beer bars, I compare them to let's say Kungs or the Hungry Hippo. You see, there are different levels of bar businesses with different prices. The flaw in your logic really shows when you think of covid. Yes, you forgot about that right. Demand went down, prices went down and you would get more value and service for your Baht. Yes, there are little region specific exceptions, but at the end of the day, demand goes down, prices go down. Demand goes up, prices go up. The same goes for low season compared to high season. Just not to the same extreme as what it was during covid, but alas, it's still the same. During low season, I have also lived in Pattaya. I would get lower prices and better service and well. Did you stay in Pattaya during covid? I did. A group of us had parties, where multiple girls would come over. The price we paid and the services we got would be impossible today for the same money. We had complete stunners doing things they would never even consider doing, but there were no customers and they had no choice. I have the videos to prove it too. End of story on this I think. THERE WERE NO CUSTOMERS. Yes, you can argue the supply went down too, but the decrease in demand outweighed the decrease in supply. This means there were still enough girls around and not enough customers.

If the original op wants to. So, again, I will ask. Why is it ok for someone to call a poster stupid for tipping more than the norm, but it's not okay for someone to say 500 baht is no big deal? its that guys money and dick right?
What about inflation? Most expats in Pattaya refuse to believe inflation even exists in Thailand and it never exists in Pattaya in their minds. These are the same punters that complain that prices go up. They think girls and bars should continue too charge the same forever I think. Yes, we all want to save money and that's a given. However, inflation is a real thing in Thailand too. Maybe foreigners don't want to believe it or see it, but the Thais do. I have been in Thailand for 15 years and I kn ow you have been coming here for a long time as well. Rents are higher, food costs are higher, fuel prices are higher. Do I need to go on?
In summary, I agree there there certain circumstances that are like micro economics scenarios where prices change based on different circumstances, and I get that. That's when your logic makes some sense. However, overall, supply and demand plus inflation causes prices to go up.

Posts: 565120 baht for at least 150 grams protein. Best bang for the buck. Less than a baht per gram. No excuses for being un healthy and not meeting your protein minimum.

Posts: 18757Now I will point out the flaw in yours. You are trying to use Western economics theories to explain Thailand. If inflation and supply and demand is what raises prices, then how do you expalin the exorbitant prices at gogos and some would say Soi 6. There are tons of girls and few punters.

We have been over time and time again how in non-Western countires they raise the price when business is slow in order to make the money from the few customers that they would ordinarily be making when there are more customers.

Posts: 7745It is not the critic that counts
Over in the Rants Thread someone has proffered that I am just seeking attention when I post about my ATF. I will spare you gentlemen the prurient interest my critic seems to be showing in my underwear type (really? But I will talk about underwear. Hers:
I buy her Victoria Secret thongs. I don't know her favorite color. I let her pick the colors. And she looks great in them. Especially when she is dancing in them in just her heels on to traditional Thai music while entertaining me in my room. I bet the other men that be fucking her appreciate my good taste also. The Victoria Secrets Store is located on the sub ground floor where Tops is co-located in Central Mall.
This information will not do you any good if you are a un maditio tacano hombre (for the non Spanish speaking among is it means: a darn cheap man)!
But I certainly know how to order shoes online with the information that has been provided. Something that I have someone else to do for me. Don't understand why someone would suggest I do it myself. To me the suggestion was like telling me I could save money by beating off instead of paying a massage girl to suck my dick.
Yeah, I could do that shit, buy WHY? ROTFLMAO!

Posts: 5459One tactical mistake I make is drinking with the ladies before the fun begins, since it makes me stupid.

Next time, I will teach them scissoring, and then I might not see them again.
BTW, cost for the session was 4000 baht.

Posts: 7970A couple of chain restaurants claim to offer healthier food.
There are a couple of low cost chain restaurants with several locations around Bangkok that are fine and at least claim to offer healthier choices. I don't know if they are in Pattaya too but they probably are.

The other one is called Salad Factory and the nearest location to the Nana Plaza / Soi Cowboy lower Sukhumvit area is also in the above Terminal 21 Mall but on the bottom floor (below the ground floor). They offer much more than just salad; beef steak, chicken, fish, pork, pasta, pizza, etc.
I eat at Salad Factory fairly often. Their Caesar Salad with grilled chicken (I add bacon) is awesome.
However, as you can see by my addition of bacon that I am not exactly determined to eat as healthy as you might be.
The other issue is I honestly have no idea how healthy the food is in those places, only that they "claim" to offer healthier fare.
My assessment is if it tastes really good as that Salad Factory Caesar Salad does, it is probably not all that healthy and is loaded with stuff true health nuts try to avoid. Most healthy food does not taste very good.

Posts: 7745Are you kidding me? Get out of the tourist zone. Expand your options,
All the places that sell grilled meats of all types. Available all over the place. At least all over the place where I roam, Restaurants that have the chickens prepared over the hot coals or electric heaters rotating until they cooked through and golden brown. Veggie Stir Fry. Simply entering in google maps health food restaurants, then going and see if the offerings fit your palette. Clear soup with vegetables, eggs and pork.
If you want things that are out of the norm, they are not going be served up to you on a platter. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of few or the one. Maybe a kitchen in your room would serve you well as you can control your meal prep. Honestly I do not know a single person who is truly focused on eating healthy that eats the majority of their food in restaurants. Period. Full Stop!
How you like me now?

My experience is limited as I only have had 2-3 experiences. Overall I think threesomes are usually overrated. Reading reports here seems to back that up. Agree that the girls must pick the second girl. Now twins or even a mother / daughter combo is something I would like to try.

Posts: 2202Wanting more protein in a healthy form has not been easy in Thailand, I have the same cravings. There are many unhealthy solutions (e.g., expensive steak houses, bar food at pubs and restaurants in tourist areas, ex-pat places, good burger places (Quickie Burger or Shake Shack), overload on breakfast buffet protein).

There are some decent Thai seafood restaurants scattered around that prepare fish in a healthy way (e.g., steamed or grilled). which can be served with vegetables. Often I order stir fried morning glory in black pepper sauce with double pork, which still isn't a a lot of protein.
I'll be interested in reading other people's ideas on this.
