There is going to be a bar girl shortage in Pattaya this High Season.

Demographics are finally catching up, and the lower birth rate since 2000 means there are fewer young women. This has a ripple effect throughout the country, but the bottom line is the pipeline from Isaan will be a bit thin going forward.

However, inflation is a real thing in Thailand too. Maybe foreigners don't want to believe it or see it, but the Thais do. I have been in Thailand for 15 years and I kn ow you have been coming here for a long time as well. Rents are higher, food costs are higher, fuel prices are higher. Do I need to go on?
Yes. You should go on. In 16 years my rent has not gone up 1 baht in Pattaya. Still paying the same 4500 baht that I always have. My water bill is still the same 150 baht / month. Still getting 1. 5 liters of water out of the machine for 1 baht.

Maybe the rent that property owners are charging bars have gone up, I do not know. The only things outside of bar fines / girls that I have seen any significant inflation on is fuel and cigarettes. I do not smoke, but it was the government that added more taxes to make the price on cigarettes to increase with the excuse of trying to curtail smoking.

I remember a couple years back when either Chang or Singha wanted to increase the price of their bottled water and there was a big to do about it. The government told them that they could not do it. It would stand that if fuel prices go up then the price of other goods should go up because the products have to be produced and transported using more expensive fuel costs. But I really have not seen that at all.

Fuel prices have indeed doubled. I remember when it would cost 120 baht to fill up my motorbike. It is now 240 baht. But as I have said many times before, I am still paying the same prices for other things as I first did 16 years ago. Ride to and from the airport still 800 and 1000 respectively even though the price of fuel has doubled.

Should the price of hookers go up? I don't see why not. But as has been said many times before, if there is any inflation, the doubling and tripling of hookers prices is working independently of any other inflation that may exist. If that was not the case then I would expect my rent to be at least 10,000 baht by now. And a few of those gogo girls do live in my building!

I may not agree with everything EverythingThai says. But he does not lie on his dick nor confuse facts with opinions.

Sorry, but you have lost this one. That tip would have nothing to do with the restaurant raising their prices on the menu in any city in the world. How would they even know if you handed the money directly to the server. Do you think all staff inform the owner or manager of the tips and the amounts that they receive from customers. The answer is "no". Then there are the places that share tips. Meaning they put the tips into a pot and divide them up at the end of the shift. The business owner will not raise prices because the staff get good tips. They raise prices because of inflation. If their expenses go up, they will raise prices. For example, the bar on walking street renews their bar lease and the rate was increased. They will try to make that up by raising prices for drinks or the bar fine. What they won't do is raise the bar fine or drink prices if they heard one of their ladies was paid 10,000 Baht ST by a Korean punter who she gave BBFS CIP to and allowed him to film the whole encounter. This tip she received for doing this will have no bearing on whether the bar will increase their drink prices or not.

So, in summary, whether the good tips are just once in a while or happen often, the business will not raise their prices because if this.

Dam this fucking rain. I got half way up my Soi to get a taxi and now I am back home because of this dam rain.
I agree with EverythingThai. He also has the inside knowledge of working and being friends with bar owners. Others a speculating and just providing their opinion. I don't own a bar. But I am a business owner. When inputs to produce your products or services go up, you have to either eat the costs as they detract from your bottom line, or raise the costs (within the confines of market restrictions) in order to increase revenue, or cut costs in such a way that it does not impact the quality of your product or service. Possibly all three. This is why I comment all the time about wage slaves. People may not like my term. But if you have not ever had to make a payroll then you don't know what pressure is about. It was easier to confront armed opponents than to run the business I currently own. I do not envy bar owners and would not like to be in their position.

Bar owners got deals on their rents during covid and most of those are now coming due for renewal at a higher rate. Some signed 2 or 3 year leases to lock in a lower rent. Those are being increased now for their renewals. You are only speculating where I am getting my info from cold hard facts.

Look what happened when the Koreans and Japanese invaded the agogo's in Walking Street. Prices went up and up, and that was not just because of inflation. It had also a lot to do with the amounts of money they were spending, and that included tips. And not just tips to individual girls, given openly or unnoticed, but also by making it rain twenties for example.

I would appreciate it if anyone could recommend accommodation in Pattaya for a 35-day longer stay. I'm open to different types of stays, from (hostels / guesthouses / hotels) to (homestays / Airbnb). Any pointers like where to look for it would be helpful.

For the nightlife, I heard Walking Street is a tourist trap. I can go for a night to experience it. Since I am staying for a month, which place would be great for clubs, parties, drinks, attractive girls, and sex?

I have RTFF, and it is overwhelming. Therefore, please pardon me for asking basic questions. Thank you very much for considering my request.
Quick summary. For more specifics, RTFF. From Monday-Friday, I would meet up with freelancers from Thai Friendly, go to a few beer bars, and then try a few gents clubs. On the weekends, I would split it up between a go go on walking street one night and bar fine a go go girl LT like a baller and then a club like 808, Republic, or Insomnia on the 2nd night of the weekend and hook up with an FL. For the specifics, RTFF. It has a search function. You should use it.

Pattaya has something to offer everyone with different budgets, price ranges and tastes. That's why it is a fucking spectacular city.

For hotels, there is a whole section for that. Don't be lazy and go to read it. However, if I was you, I would do a month rental at an air B & B.

    1. Beer Bars.

If we are talking about mongering, let's say "bar" is a beer bar. Beer bars are located in places like Soi Bukao, Soi 6, Tree Town, Soi Maid in Thailand , and let's say Myth bar complex. They are also located in other areas as well, but these are the more well known areas. In these beer bars you can sit and buy drinks for yourself and chill. These bars also have girls working there and you can buy them a lady drink that will cost around 150 Baht give or take 10-20 Baht either way. The girls will mess around with you in the bar by twerking, dancing, sticking their hand down your pants and give you a wank for a few seconds and so on. Some bars, like on soi 6 will have short time rooms available for a few hundred Baht where you can go and fuck the girls for approximately 1000-1500 baht ST, where others won't have rooms on. Site. You can bar fine the girls and take them out of the bar for 500 Baht ST and around 700-2500 baht LT depending on the location of the Bar and the time of day. The girls normally charge 1000-1500 Baht ST and 2500 Baht and up for LT. These are beer bars so everything is very casual with the exception of Soi 6 bars that are very lady drink oriented. You will find girls working in these bars of all ages, shapes or sizes, from ugly, cute, beautiful, sexy, stunning and fat.

    2. Bars and clubs.

These are normal bars or clubs, such as 808, Insomnia, and Republic. It's very simple. You go there and meet girls. Some are freelancers, some are bar girls on their day off or after work, some are normal girls. You can often meet full or part time freelancers there between 10 PM and 4 AM. The girls normally charge 1000-2000 baht ST and 2500 LT and up to 4000 LT or higher if they are stunners.

    3. Gents clubs.

These are really laid back bars. They cater to expats who live in Pattaya, but they are also frequented by tourists. Beers and drinks are cheap for customers and you can go there just to shoot the shit with the boys or get naughty with a girl. The girls working there range in all ages, shapes and sizes and are ugly, cute, sexy, fat, beautiful with the odd stunner in the mix. Most if not all gents clubs have short time rooms for 400-500 Baht where you can take the girl for an hour or two. This will cost you about 1000-1500ST to the girl. You can also bar fine LT for about 700- 1000 Baht. The girl will normally ask 2500+++++depending on the girl. What sets this apart from a beer bar is that right in the bar, the girls will do some dirty shit. For a few drinks, they will get naked, let you touch them, and even give you a BJ or let you eat their pussy right there in the bar for everyone to see. Then they have curtained areas for about 300 Baht. Behind the curtain, you can basically do the same with the girl as you would do in the Short time room. The only difference is that you are behind a curtain while outside that curtain, customers and other girls are there. Generally the girls there are instructed not to be too pushy when. It comes to asking for lady drinks. You can also usually play or request music that you like. These gents clubs are located in Soi Bonchot, Soi Pothole, Soi Boomarang, and the rest are spread out all over the city. Central Pattaya, Jomtien, Pratamnak and other areas. My experience in these gents clubs has been excellent. I have had wicked threesomes in the ST rooms fucking BB with both ladies without changing condoms to being literally raped behind a curtain by 6 ladies. These places can be right down and dirty. Some of the girls even do Ass to mouth, ass to pussy. and will let you creampie them. Of course this is all YMMV and sometimes you may need to spend a little extra.

    4. Go Go bars.

These are bigger than gents clubs with stages where the girls dance. Sometimes topless or naked depending. It's similar to a strip club from back home. Customer drinks and lady drinks are generally more expensive. 80-200 baht for customers and 180-300 baht for ladies depending on what drink you order. Typically, the talent is younger and better looking in these bars. Short time is normally 2000 baht ++++ and Long time is 3000+++++ maybe as hight as 5000 baht or higher for some girls, especially on Walking street. As swell as walking street, there are Go go bars in LK Metro, a few small ones on Soi Bukao, such as Red Hot and Blue, and them a large one called Play Girlz. Then, there is one go go bar called Kink on LK metro. It is a strange fusion Go Go bar / gents club with Go Go bar prices and gents club action right there in the bar. This happens upstairs, so don't stay downstairs. When you go in, head directly upstairs. Then on Walking street there is Windmill, a scaled down version of Kink. For talent, meaning the youngest and sexiest girls between 20-25 would be Pin Up and XS on walking street.

Pattaya has something to offer everyone with different budgets, price ranges and tastes. That's why it is a fucking great city.

    Hope this helps mate.

PS. for the price police, don't get your patties all in an uproar, these are just estimates.

Second, I see nothing wrong with your opinion nor do I see a problem with the information provided. If anything for me it provides motivation to learn Thai and become more culturally sensitive. I actually don't tip a girl for a naughty massage. I pay for the service. Now if I am getting a regular massage I routinely tip the massage girl 100 THB. Learned how to tip in Pattya from my ATF. I sought her guidance until I got a feel for it. In fact, one time we went to get manicure / pedicures together. I had a girl working on my hands and my feet When the were finished I paid the fee then tipped them each 100 THB. She thought that was WAY too much. From the reaction of the girls who did my work in the nail salon she were right. Their eyes lit up and they thanked me profusely. That was priceless and is and experience those with alligator arms will never have. If a freelancer performs exceptionally well, I will pay for her round trip motorbike taxi fee so she can keep the total amount for the sexual services provided.

No one tells me how much to tip or how to spend my hard earned money. I have never had anyone call me stupid to my face over such a minor issue of protocol wish the would.

As for the reasons prices go up, economics is not as clear cut as some would make it. Because I see examples given all the time that does not consider the basics of supply and demand. The reality of Thailand is that there is not a real supply problem when it comes to pussy. Girls across the country turn 18 everyday. Some decide to become prostitutes for the International Tricks that come from all over the world and post up in here. So, lack of supply is not the reason prices go up. My understanding is that demand grows by the season. The more International Tricks visit in a particular time period the less prostitutes are available per International Trick. Pussy supply and demand for it changes depending upon the geographical location in Thailand.

The pussy market is not a efficient market. There are not records of the prices being paid as the trades are being made nor is there an order book like when I sit in front of my screen and watch the red and green candlesticks forming. Therefore NO ONE can be sure of what anyone else is actually paying because each deal is private. Someone with a desire for pussy now may be willing to pay 500 THB more for the exactly same pussy someone else negotiates 500 THB less for. Either way the two International Tricks with the prostitute in the middle does not know what each other are paying. Only she does.

I come from a household of frugality. My Mother taught me how to get value for the resources I expend. Now I often disagreed with her that the time she spent saving money could be better spend making it but contradicting my parents had a cost. I chose to keep my mouth shut most of the time and when I didn't I paid that cost.

Looking around Pattaya what can you buy with 500 THB? I can get a room for the night. I can get BBBJCIM. I can buy the majority of the meals I eat out. I can buy enough fruits and vegetables at my local market that it requires two reusable grocery bags to carry it back to my room. I can buy 3 of my favorite ciders. I can buy a bottle of rum. I can tip the door man of one the Agogo's that employ racist policies to prevent certain people from entering. I can pay for 62.9 percent of a rack of tequila in Maggie Mays.

If someone wants to worry about 500 THB on vacation can someone please tell me why that is a problem? Your time; Your money; Your dick; Your call! I don't need someone to tell me to stay in my lane as perceived by someone else. I can enjoy Kao Man Gui just a much as I can enjoy meal of Wagau beef.

Any mother fucking time that I want to!
You make some good points about the price the working girls charge are not as simple as supply, but demand is a different story. When demand goes up in high season, the girls charge more and are also more selective. They will pass on the expat who normally pays them 1500 baht and wait for the Korean tourist to come in who will pay double. However, after high season, expats like Explorer who mention it all the time are crawling in pussy for next to nothing. He comments all the time that during high season, he never hears from them.

Another good point you make was about guys and how they can spend their money the way they want because it's their dick and that's very true. However, the OP I commented on, said the original opp was behaving stupidly for leaving a 500 Baht tip. Is this not the same. I think it is. Whether someone pays more or less than another punter would pay or tip, does not make that person stupid. As you said, it's their money right? They can tip 100 baht or 500 baht and it won't raise the prices that others pay.

I agree with the other point that you made, where you say that nobody else can be sure what others Pay. The girls may talk amonst themselves, same with some punters, but when they are alone with their customer or girl, the punter may pay more because he really wants to fuck the girl. The girl may accept less because she is really into the guy or she really needs money for something like a sick parent or she is behind on her rent.

A few places where you and I differ greatly in opinion though are these. The poster we are discussing that called the original op stupid, did not supply any useful info. At first I thought you were being sarcastic, but its not clear. Anyways, he just accused another member of tipping too much because tipping too much causes the prices to go up and thats just false. His money, his dick right? Why is it ok to tell someone he is behaving stupidly for tipping 500 baht, but not ok for someone to say that 500 Baht is no big deal. I am a strong believer that when you fly half way across the world for a 2 week holiday, small bits of money should not be a concern to you. Small things like this can ruin one's holiday. For instance, if you are here on holiday and you think you were overcharged on a bar bill for 500 Baht, are you going to argue and cause a huge fight over it or just walk away and never go back? As a guy on holiday, I would choose the latter and walk away. For expats on the other hand it's completely different. 500 baht is exactly as you put it, it can buy a lot. Then about the Thai thing, yes it may motivate another punter to learn more Thai and Thai culture so he can play in the Thai pool. However, this is the Pattaya thread and its mostly made up of tourists. The majority of tourists dont want to go to the Thai areas in most cases. They dont want a difficult encounter. They dont want to deal with a dick scared Thai only working girl. They come for Soi 6 and walking street. Finally, about nobody telling you where you can and cant go, stay in your lane. Thats not what I was saying at all. In fact, you and I had a discussion once about fitting a round peg into a square hole and why you don't want to do that by trying to get with a girl who is not interested in you. We can apply that line of thinking here as well. For example, one punter either does not have the money or has the money, but is very careful with his money so he wont go to Pin Up because he knows he wont spend the money the girls are asking there. So, what does he do? Instead of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, he goes to a gents club. Why? Because Pattaya is so fucking great that he can. That is what I mean. Anyways, these are my comments about your thoughts. Looking forward to drinks in Pattaya soon.

    Peace out.

    ET.
