I've been here 20 years I'm Chinese American born and raised in West coast consider the Largest at one time maybe still outside of HongKong. Aside from the parade I still go back yearly around that time you go in stores in Chinatown it be rare you even see a New Year T-shirt to buy.

In Pattaya, I was shock it is celebrated more by Thais than the Chinese even before they started to come. Local market selling chicken, pork, duck, on the eve of Chinese New Year, my Thai wife kids get up at 6 am set up tradition tables with food, whisky, religious statues, put ribbons flowers on cars motorbike light incense candle far greater than my mom ever did who was from Canton! Top it off with string of fire works. Through our neighborhood along with abundant of New Year T-shirts design of choice.

You can go right now to Big see Xtra supermarket upstairs clothing department and it isn't even Christmas yet for sale.

You can go north of Pattaya, Naklua seafood market consider to be Chinatown and see it for yourself.

Just found out from an OF lady who is based out of Pattaya that one of her friends was arrested for producing porn. Seems that making porn films is illegal in Thailand. I find it interesting that one can walk up and down Walking Street and see multiple women out plying their trades and making port films is still against the law and can get a woman arrested.

I find it stupid that mfs will record themselves doing something illegal for all the world to see. You have to know what you can get away with along with with whom and where. Those Trike Patrol guys were idiots to come in and record themselves breaking the law (making porno and working without a permit) and then turn around and try to come back into the country with the intentions of doing the same thing again. In addition to the one guy being caught with material featuring miners.

Why is that interesting? Plenty of laws across the globe (and probably where you are from as well) are based on different moral arguments or traditions that may slightly conflict with logic. It's always been known that porn is illegal in Thailand. Usually nobody cares, but sometimes they enforce, just like other laws.

Soi six is a street with a bunch of brothels that also sell alcohol. I'm taking a break from drinking and have gone to soi 6 recently more than a few times and just walk the street until I find something I like and ask to go straight upstairs no drink fro me or her I've never gotten a no. Now I haven't been able to get it for the 1000 baht he claims but you don't need to be buying racks of drinks to get them.

Also went to walking street last night as I have some buddies in town we went to 808 and Lucifer with the latter having the bigger crowd.

Yes I do. But I don't want to buy a girl drinks and then find out she won't go with you. So when I sit down with a girl, I ask her if she does ST. If she says no, I say I'm only buying drinks for girls who will. She either agrees to change her mind or she gets me a different girl. Fortunately I've never been lied to by a girl who said she would ST and then said no after drinks. Once I know she will, then we can chat and have drinks. I can't believe that you are on with this we must support the bar owner shit again. What are you talking about? These are fuck places. Are you saying that it is permitted to go in and buy drinks without fucking, but not permitted to go in and fuck without buying drinks? If so, then that is preposterous. The same way that you can walk in to McDonald's and buy a Big Mac, without a drink, you can walk in to a bar with rooms or gentlemen's club and fuck without buying a drink. They are hoarhouses and the drinks are optional.

The rooms are already there and a sunk cost included in the rent of the bar. If you go pay 400 baht to use a room to fuck a chick that is 400 baht the bar owner gets. If you go buy a drink for 80 baht that the owner paid 30 baht for, then that is only 50 baht for the owner. Anybody with a brain can see they would make more money renting 1 room for 1 hour than selling 1, 2, or 3 drinks in 1 hour. They would need to sell 8 drinks to a person in 1 hour to equal what they would getting from renting the 1 person a room for 1 hour. I do not know about you, but I sure as hell am not drinking 8 drinks.

I know you are EverythingThai, but try using some western math or business sense for a change. You are sounding like our barbecue guy that moved off Buakhao where he had 1000 customers to Sukhumvit where he had 2 customers because he could pay cheaper rent. Funniest thing ever was when I gave that guy a 1000 baht bill and he had to go find change. The next time I went into the restaurant he did not want to serve me because he was afraid I would give him a 1000 baht bill again. I had to ensure him that I had small bills before he would take my order. Imagine not wanting to serve a customer because you are afraid they actually have money to pay. Amazing Thailand.

For the guys that don't want to buy lady drinks and don't want to drink, there are freelancers and massage shops. Why waste time trolling Soi 6 for girls willing to ST with no drinks, not even 1. Some of us enjoy drinking and having fun with the girls. If thats not your thing, so be it. All this price stuff is also blown so far out of proportion and discussed to death. When in Pattaya, do what the fuck you want and use the info on the forum as a guide on how much to pay. Sometimes you
may pay a little more or a little less. It will all even out in the end. Overthinking pricing while in Pattaya on vacation can ruin your holiday. You may pass up something you will regret later. Now on your point about Soi 6 bars just being brothels and not bars. If that were true and the bars could make more money just selling sex in the ST rooms, let me ask you this? Why are all the salaries on Soi 6 based on reaching a drink quota? Why are they even selling drinks? Because it’s their business model. I for one am not going to go to Soi 6 if I don’t want to drink and have fun. I would much rather call a freelancer over to my condo or go to a massage shop. To each their own.
