I thus walked past Wonderland 38 separate times, since it's on the way to the rainbows. On each occasion, the place was replete with ladyboys. Whether there are genetic girls in there or post Ops in their matters not, if there are ladyboys in the bar under my definition, it is a ladyboy bar and accordingly is off limits.

Went to Red Dragon at Nana the other night and mamasan quoted me "220 x 2" on her calculator for 15 minutes with a girl. I finished my drink and left, so I too downvote those prices with my feet and locked wallet. Since they are still using the 220 as base ladydrink price, maybe this high season pricing? A fucking laminated card, that is dedication. In the past few months I've been in Baccara, Rainbow 4, Virgin, Pink Panther, Radio City, and King's Castle (yes I like Patpong). I wasn't asked for double lady drinks at all in Baccara, Rainbow 4, or Virgin. At Pink Panther, Radio City, and King's Castle the waitress or girl at each place asked "two drinks ok?" when ordering the first lady drink, to which I firmly said no, just one. They never asked again. That's how it should be (how it really should be is they don't ask for double lady drinks at all, but I think that ship has sailed). Ordering double lady drinks without the customer's permission or making 2 lady drinks required for the girl to even sit is unacceptable, in my opinion. They'll do it if enough people fall for it though.

It seems to me, with my first visit to Thailand coming in 30 days, that all the controversy about the nature of the "staffs" (pun intended) at Wonderland just means I shouldn't bother going in there.

I would agree that that is a valid approach for most men. My method of operation is to just walk around the top 2 levels of Nana Plaza and take a look inside many of the bars for 20 seconds each. Nothing wrong with ground level, I just havent had much personal success there. Don't even buy a drink until you find a bar that fits your fancy. Not to be missed are Billboards, Butterflies, and Geisha. There are a variety of smaller bars in corners and up stairways, you might find your favorite place is a bit hidden.

A couple nights ago I got pissed off at Bunny 5. While drinking my beer, a cute dancer was constantly eyeballing and smiling at me. I pointed to her and then to the empty seat next to me. That 2000 baht could have just as easily gone to Bunny 5, but they insisted that I commit to 2 lady drinks before I knew if my selected lady was my type.

On Soi 4, Viets are usually out past 8 pm. They typically ask 2000. I tend to offer 1000-1500, which almost all will accept, although they prefer that you don't ask in front of their friends, since I guess 2000 is what they agreed to ask. The most common price I had them at was 1200, so 3500 is a huge lucky bonus for them.

Most ask you to pay first, and at 1000 I don't care to put up a fight about it, sets a bad tone for the session. About 1/3 give very basic service and are rushed, but about 2/3 do make some effort, and I do tip them 200-500 extra if deserved. At 3500 upfront, I imagine they would think they've already squeezed all they could, and are just eager to finish and move on.
