The information found on this forum for the city of Bogota is poor.

To start, the "Zona de Tolerancia" should be avoided. The club Troya can be relied upon if you have no other options. The experience of visiting the club is bizarre: for a block or two around Troya security guards flank the streets to create a demilitarized zone. Outside of that boundary are hordes of drugged out zombies. Inside the club the atmosphere might be ok, if slow. I did not see Colombian clientele there, only two bewildered Asian tourists. This is a sign you're in the wrong place, we're not in Asia. Where are the young wealthy Colombian men?

Young people partying can be found in the neighborhood Chapinero, at various bars and dance clubs. I'll provide the name of a salsa club that is nearby some action: "Sandunguera The temple of classical salsa". The salsa club is remarkable. Around those streets you'll see young people partying, drinking, and darting in and out of various dance clubs spread out across a few blocks on a Friday or Saturday night. Nearby are at least two of the more popular electronic dance clubs, which I won't name. Upon seeing a colorful brightly lit hallway on those streets I walked in to discover an unnamed brothel full of young hood men drinking with girls -- while I would not recommend that particular establishment, opportunities abound. On other streets barkers will bring you into some of the clubs you've cited, such as "Pussy House".

From the above salsa club you can walk to another nightlife area, Parque de LOS Hippies. Keep an eye out, or even ask people, and you'll discover places.

The prevalence of motels in that region suggests there must be more. Many of the motels do not readily appear on Google Maps as they're explicitly love motels. I suspect there are establishments that are difficult to find. Or perhaps everything has moved online and either nobody knows or nobody is willing to share. From catching a glimpse of the regular nightlife scene, I sense a depth to Bogota.

You should always ask how much the beer / drink is when ordering it-- But if you would have said you are only going to pay 25-35 mil you would have only had to pay that-.

So the lesson is to always ask first-- Another lesson is too always have small bills-.

I always go up to the bar, try to sit at the bar, and order directly from the bartender. That way no waiter is involved to demand a tip or overcharge. Also, you can see your beer and make sure nobody put a drug in it.

I had already been to troya which was good where I payed 10,000 for a Poker so the next day the California guys approached me and I was like sure I'll come in and I'the been seated for 30 seconds and this other guy bought me a corona opened and said 50,000. I was like wtf and he said " oh to late I've opened it now" I didn't care I was like whatever here's your 50,000 but you won't be seeing me again and left, I ignored them the rest of my trip.

Why did you pay the 50 k for a corona? That's outrageous in santa fe. Why didn't you just leave? Did you not know the price before you ordered the corona? More or less. I've been generally quoted between 50 and 80. Lower away from the main area where the clubs are. Higher for the real cuties and on Friday / Saturday evenings. A couple of times even quoted 100 or more, though couldn't tell whether this was for a longer time with a deeper experience or they just didn't like me haha (they said the former, might have meant the latter).

How much are the dances in the clubs? And how does that work? Do you just call a girl over and ask for a dance, or negotiate price etc first (I've seen dances vary from very perfunctory to pretty full on, and for them to hang around a lot after several dances or just do a single song then leave).

I've never had a dance in a club (never seen the point) but would like to try it next time I'm there. Any wisdom from you experienced dance lovers?

Ah okay man thanks. Yeah when I was there it would range from 50-70 k but I remember the lookers charging higher end. When I was in Troya I had 2 seperate danced for 25,000 and 30,000 and both great value. Ass and tits in my face for the full 7-10 minutes or so. Usually after you have a beer and sit down a girl will approach you, this was like a Wednesday afternoon at 3 pm when it was dead.

From Ibis I always like walking down carrera 7 and then turning the corner at compania casa del ray and walking down Calle 22. I'll grab a coffee next to the coffee / used book shop right next to the cinema if I'm dragging a bit. Not the best coffee but it does the trick. Carrera 7 is usually always busy enough and For most of the walk into SF Calle 22 is quite a well lit street for Bogota standards. I'm usually walking down there before 9 pm and most of the stores are still open along the walk and there's usually a game at the soccer park right before you get to the transmillenio stop which is basically the start of SF so it doesn't feel as deserted as some of the other streets in the evening. I'll usually always get someone right next to there ask me to buy something. Never can figure out wtf it is they're trying to sell me it's like a bag with more plastic bags in it I can't figure it out LOL. Was there about a month ago and had a good time. I've been enjoying the casas more lately. Partly because there's always 1 or 2 thin girls there and thin girls are my thing. On my last trip Fiebre and Troya were the better clubs but it's all dependent on the night. I did feel the clubs were a bit quieter though but having said that I only need 1 or 2 girls and I'm good for the night so it's not like I need to be inundated with stunners. Prices in the club for me were all around 120-150 k depending on what debauchery you want.

Also not wanting to play it down or whatever but honestly I've been here a number of times now and apart from the odd homeless guy asking for something I've never had a problem knock on wood. I've also (thankfully) never been involved with or even seen a stabbing so while I'm not going to say it doesn't happen I can say I've never seen one. For what it's worth in my home city in the states there was a stabbing not too far from me but I don't consider my neighborhood a bad neighborhood and I wouldn't dissuade people from coming to it. Just to put things into perspective. Enjoy the trip.

I'll be in Bogot starting 3/28. I was there a year ago. As far as night clubs Fiebre was the best has there been any major changes? I love walking Sante Fe too and I had a good path at the time, but does anyone have streets they like to avoid? Let me know and message me if any of you want to go on the hunt. Cheers.

Never really concluded this trips report down to Bogota so I'll just end it with final thoughts. I wrote more specific details in my other reports so check those out.

In general:

Club girls in Santa Fe- the girls range from 80-150 depending on what you want. And in general 120 k seems to be the standard at least for me which included BBBJ, DFK (some would do this well and others wouldn't), DATY and multiple positions. Depending on how cute the girl was that might also include CIM but typically add another 20-30 k for that. I tip (that's just me and if they do a good job) so I'm typically walking out after a girl spending $150 k all up with propina. I rarely drink with a girl as I have limited Spanish and what Spanish I do have and understand is difficult to do anything with as the clubs music is extremely loud.

Paisas. F, I can't stand Paisas but there's always 1 girl that I pick from there. In general I find the place underwhelming. It's huge inside and I don't get why they can't fill it up with more girls or better quality girls. The music is insanely loud as well. Having said that I picked up this insanely slim girl that bordered on almost anorexic (thin is my preferred body type and she bordered on almost being too thin but she was too cute and slim to pass up) who was extremely compliant in the room. I forget the price now but since everything hovered around 150 k I believe I took her up for 120 k and tipped her at the end. Every other night I was there Paisas was dead (including Friday and Saturday) with better talent in the other clubs.

Troya. You can't really go wrong in here. Yes, sometimes there might not be one to your liking and you'll end up in another club but if you're here over a few days you'll hook up with a girl from here at least once. Highlight was a cute red headed girl who had a very slim blonde friend. I wanted to bang them both. Not many girls there with red hair so she'the be easy to find. She was great in the room. Really into DFK and was fun, smiling and a bubbly personality in the room which made it even better. So if you see a cute young red headed girl with an equally cute slim blonde friend you can't go wrong.

Antones. I usually find 1 girl in here worth it but this trip it just wasn't happening for me here. But I've mentioned before I usually like to start my night in here and just grab a poker beer for 10 k, sit down and watch the girl on stage touch herself while there's porn playing in the background tv's to just start the night off right. Plus, usually after 1 beer you've seen the full rotation of girls for the next 2-3 hours in there so you know if it's worth coming back into.

Venus. This time I didn't do anyone from Venus. I actually like the place but on the 2 times I poked my head in it was a bit quieter but it's worth a look as some of the girls can be cute and it just has a bit of a raunchy feel to it which I like.

Fiebre. Like troya you usually can't go wrong in fiebre. Often the girls from troya and fiebre switch between clubs depending on how busy each one is. Banged a cute one in here who first asked for 200 k for BBBJ, DFK and CIM. Lmao. I said no and since she quoted so high I said I'll do 80 k. She then started being like "oh cmon papi I make you feel good" then told me 150 k. I said I'll do 100 k and that's the end of it. She then took her tits out and put her nipple against my lips and to be fair they were looking good so I asked if I can cum on her tits and mouth for 120 k and she said yes LOL so up we go. Texas and California. I get the 2 mixed up. The small place that's on the corner. Small stage. It's worth poking your head in. It seems to mostly have SG quality girls but that means that there's sometimes some random cute ones. On this trip I didn't find any I like. But then the place that's kind of next door to that one I did have a good time. Never been in there before. You walk up some stairs and then lo and behold it's completely different than what you would think from the outside. It's got a huge stage and it's kinda big up there. When I went on what is the Colombia equivalent of Columbus Day most of the clubs were all closed except for this one. 2 slight older girls were up on stage and while not my type they were trying hard and there wasn't much else happening so I got a poker beer for 10 k. Out of nowhere comes this cute little thing and asks if I want a dance. Of course I'll take a dance. It ended up with a 100 k romp in the downstairs rooms where once again I unloaded in a cute girls mouth while her pussy was shoved in my face for 69.

Casas. Tantra spa. Honestly you can't go wrong with this place. I was there almost every day of my 5 day trip. There were usually 8-12 girls. All doable. All body types. All looking in their early 20's. Every girl I was with was compliant and did everything I wanted. The cost for 30 minutes was 50 k and I just did all the extras for an additional 100 k. The girls don't expect a tip as I actually think all the extras cost 80 k and they just say 100 k so that a tip is built in for them. All will let you DFK, DATY and cum on tits or mouth. So just for ease of use it was great. There's a mall nearby (Avenida Chile mall) perfect to freshen back up afterwards in the little small food court area.

Tips:

1) Don't go into the clubs of Santa Fe with large bills. The mesero will literally take forever trying to find you change if you only buy 1 poker beer and pay for it with a 50 k (or worse will just disappear). Head to oxxo, etc and buy something small to get change and plan to pay for drinks with either 10 or 20 k bills.

2) screw the transmillenio unless you take steps to not be a victim of pickpocketing. Despite the few reports of stabbings and / or muggings on here, I have been to Bogota as a solo white male traveller 5 or 6 times now. I have not had a problem however I have had a problem with pickpockets and once again some douche tried to pickpocket me while getting into a crowded bus. Honestly, uber and didi are not that much more than the bus and just easier so I just recommend doing that unless you want to stay as cheap as possible. Just don't have stuff in your pockets. The people that do this often work in groups and they're good.

Restaurant ideas: don't listen to the people that say Bogota doesn't have good food. There's loads of good food. If it's your first time then try a visit to La Perseverancia Market for lunch or a late breakfast. Compania Casa Del Rey is close enough to Santa Fe and has some nice options. Pastelera Florida while not the best is easy and good. Those are 3 places near or around the Hotel Ibis worthwhile to check out. There are loads more. Visit some good coffee places as well.

And yes, I'll be back again for a 7th time (or is it the 6th?? I've lost track).
