I enjoy reading many of the posts on this forum, but some are just pure nonsense. I mean some really stupid nonsense. But then I was wondering, what if the guys I thought were spouting BS are right, and I've been wrong? Take for instance the idea that you can't talk about Pattaya unless you've been there, or you are there. Or Thailand itself for that matter. How can these guys post about Thailand if they're never been there, or are not there now? Maybe the people who I previously thought were ass clowns are actually correct, and you can only talk about things you've directly experienced.

Here is one way to think about it:

No point in me going to Thailand if I don't find Thai chics attractive.

I'm not interested in visiting Thailand, never was!

Is this who you want to take your guidance from when it comes to Thailand? Why would anyone pay attention to anything the OP has to say about Thailand or Pattaya (Unless they using the handle of Allover)?

I will beg to differ with that. I have lived in Thailand for 16 years and lived in Rio 5 years before that. I speak fluent Portuguese and good Thai. The average Joe is going to have a much better time in Thailand only being able to speak English, than he will being in Brazil not being able to speak Portuguese.

For me if you examine the difference of experience between both the OPs it is very obvious whom I would prefer to take advice from. Why would you need to put your mind on a treadmill like a lab rat pondering questions that those of us with common sense developed over a lifetime of study in Hard Knock Life university would need about two seconds know which is the better choice?

1. Do you want to learn from an individual that actually knows how to fly?'.

2. Do you want to learn from an individual that has studied how to fly on YouTube and flown simulations using Flight Simulator on his X-Box?

So simple. Answer that question and you will have no need to run down a rabbit hole. Answer that question and you will determine if you have common sense or you are just full of male bovine excrement.

Do you want a fake criminal investigator advising you on the law? Or do you want a real one that actually speaks and reads Thai. Who understands the law / Can read the law. And explains the elements of the law to you?

This evening I was watching a youtube video of Carl Sagan talking about the universe. I've watched a lot of his videos, but this evening I had a bad feeling while watching. That m--- f--k has never been to outer space. How can he talk about it if he's never been there? What the m--- f--k?

Before it was walking street now its soi 6. Soi 6 was known for giving great value for money. Now it's beginning to look like walking street with lots of koreans buying drinks for the girls. Seems like what we can call diminishing returns for your expensive trip there. What is the reason for going there if it just keep getting worse and worse?! There is no economical reason to go there for ST any longer. Sit down with a calculator and se what it costs you per girl you have.

The American crap is because you don't pay enough in the disUS and you need to tip in order for waiters to make some money. In rest of the world wages tend to be enough for waiters and people don't tip as much. In Japan tipping is considered a terrible offense, because by tipping you are saying that you don't believe the waiter makes enough money and you need to help him.
