When I order a Bolt motobike during the day, I specify that I want a helmet, even though helmets are generally disgusting and smelly. I wear a hair protection cap to protect my hair. Two out of three times, the driver doesn't have a helmet for the passenger. Even if he has one himself. So I refuse the ride and indicate in the comments that there was no helmet for the passenger. I also tell the driver that I won't be riding with him for safety reasons and because of the police. Sometimes this makes him furious, or he claims there are no police on the road. I still refuse.

In the evening, when I've had a bit to drink between WS and LK Metro, I still take the mototaxi even without a helmet because I don't want to waste my time.

I'm confused. You refuse a mototaxi if no helmet is provided, for your safety, unless you've been drinking and don't want to waste your time? That's the type of reasoning that constantly gets people in trouble.

Whether a person wears a helmet or not, takes a mototaxi or not, or uses a condom or not doesn't matter to me. However, if your personal safety rules get thrown out the window whenever you drink, you might want to rethink your actions.

I walked down Soi Chaiyapoon tonight, and it was eerily quiet. As in, I was the only Farang walking down the street.

High Rollers was not open at 5 pm, and most bars were empty. A few were closed and up for sale.

In other words, a typical Low Season.

Another thing we know is that Thais would rather risk a 1000 baht fine than to buy a 200 baht helmet to put on their heads. If guys here report paying all this money and giving all these tips to people, then you would at least expect them to take care of mickey mouse shit like a key or helmet so it will not cost them exorbitantly more in the future, but TIT.

Though I don't arrive until next week, I had some fun laying the groundwork on TF by getting a month subscription, which has already been worth it.

Plenty of girls on there. Apart from a few that blatantly tried to scam with prices that I think are way out of the range, plenty of other prices I could accept from girls on there of all sorts of ages.

Some girls, particularly young ones aren't very good at english, so it forced me to practice typing thai. (I have a working knowledge of speaking, but writing / typing is a different ballgame. Got to learn some new fixed terms like raya san / raya nan, and thungyang).

My personal preference in Pattaya is to go out, and see what's in the bars and nightclubs. However, in the past TF and Tinder have been some good backup options (the hotel takeout option, good to supplement a failed night out potentially).

In theory, based on what I see here, it's still perfectly possible to organise your partner on here. I feel however that I would be missing apart of the Pattaya experience if I did.

Again, as you pointed out, I haven't had any trouble with the moderation. I keep the talk about details in the chat. And well out of my profile, which is sort of ambiguously written in terms of what I'm looking for.

Most of the girls once you write them are pretty clear that they're freelancers. Though a number are afraid that it will get their account blocked and choose to move over to line.


One thing I noticed was, based on the timezone difference, that you have older women that message you in the morning, and then as the day goes on, the rest of the freelancers start coming online. Peak period is around 7 or 8 I noticed, when they like and write at much faster rates.

I think in Pattaya it's close to 99% and in Bangkok maybe 50-60% (just a wild guess), but in the rest of Thailand much less.
But yeah, it doesn't seem to make sense. Maybe they got scared when that fiwfans site was closed.
At the same time there are still loads of profiles of girls with pictures that scream 'prostitute'. But as long as they don't add any text like 'ST' or 'FL' or 'freelancer' or 'not for free', this is apparently OK.

Off of Thai Friendly I have NEVER paid more than 2000 K. The lowest I have ever paid is 500 THB for Short Time. She was an outlier. It has only happened one. I have also gotten Short Time for 800 THB. If a girl asks for more than her market rate then I simply ignore her. I don't negotiate with a girl that has golden pussy syndrome. This is low season so if a girl off of Thai Friendly asks me for 2000, I will counter with 1500 and 90% of them take it.

The problem is that most do not understand how the pussy market works.

My offer usually starts out at 1 K-1.5 K Baht. A lot of girls will start off at 2 K-3 K if you ask them but on Beach Road most of them start at 1 K for ST. Not my experience. I have not found the photos of the girls I deal with on Thai Friendly to be heavily filtered. On Beach Road I've spoke with many girls working there. They have asked me 1000 - 2000 THB for Short Time.

It appears from many posts in this thread not everyone agrees with you. Some of us are interested in value for our money and not just throwing it away. I've stated before I will not hesitate to spend 4000 THB on dinner out with my ATF. Drinks on a rooftop bar overlooking the ocean: 2000 THB. 3000 - 4500 THB for dinner just for myself in a Michelin Stared restaurant (because I deserve it).

In Pattaya, basically all of them are freelancers.

Outside of Thailand it's a bit mixed.
