Why not trying to get dirty cheap deals if you're able to, not everyone is wealthy stock owner that has money flowing to his bank account based on the Wall Street affairs, most of us are just working class people who work for a year in our places of residence (I am originally from Balkans area but I live in California and NYC for the past 30 years), I work menial jobs like construction and moving throughout the year and then maybe once every two years I am able to afford a trip to Colombia or Philippines and sure as hell I fly into Manila but immediately hop on the bus to AC to get those provincial fun rates as opposed to be looked upon as rich American in Manila which I'm definitely not. Last time I was in San Jose, Costa Rica, the one hour prices at the popular hotel (I forgot the name of it) were about $150 per hour, but thank to the local guides that are standing outside the hotel, they took me literally around the corner where those short term places were, it's like bunch of bars with room in the back, the same thing was like $30 for 20 or 30 minutes, amazing talent. So, it's always good to look for the best opportunity to get more bang for your buck unless money is not an object, which I assume for most of us here that's not the case.

I can get in my car and find a streetwalker to give me a blowjob for $40 here, or I can book an escort for $400 (or $1000). Maybe the streetwalker even gives a better blowjob than the $400 escort. You take your choice, but don't try to get the $400 escort to give you a blowjob for $40, and don't pay the streetwalker $200 and think it's a good deal because the escort would have been $400. Know the local pricing so you know what the right price range is and you aren't comparing prices to what you would pay back home, or in the provinces, or anywhere else. Also, don't expect the same deal you would get if you actually were a local, spoke the language, and were part of the community. Good idea going to AC instead of Manila if the local prices are better there, but don't go to Manila and then complain that you paid less in the provinces. That's all.

We need to have a bit of self-awareness LOL. Most Thailand visitors aren't spending two months in the provinces of the Philippines. I lived in southern Africa half a century ago more or less, and I would buy a bar girl a couple of drinks, take her home to a place nicer than wherever she was staying, and give her "cab fare" in the morning knowing damn well that she was walking. I wasn't a tourist (not that there were many) and I didn't get tourist pricing. That was then; this is now.

When I visit I am going to a country I have never been to before, where I speak exactly zero of the local language, and where I am following in the footsteps of tens of thousands of other visitors in the same situation. Why the hell should I expect "local pricing"? Why would I expect things to be the way they were 10 years ago? Hell, if things were the way they were 10 years ago I wouldn't be leaving southern Florida, because no market has gone to hell the way this place has..

To add to the MDE comparisons, while guys are complaining about $200 girls in Manila, I've just come off two months in the provinces where standard rates were P2000/$35 for as long as I wanted her, typically late afternoon to mid morning. I posted comments that I was actually pleasantly surprised by the uptick in looks and performance vs previous visits. I'm sure that the same is available in LOS or <<insert preferred destination>>. Just not on Walking St or Nana Plaza.

Once I have done my part I expect to have as good a time as possible within those parameters. What I DON'T expect is to get ripped off because I compare everything to prices at home, or to throw money around because everything seems so cheap. There are going to be those who have been in the local market who resent newcomers and want things to be the way they were. Sorry. There is a difference between prices increasing due to supply and demand, and people "ruining the market" by overpaying.

Pretty sure I will be able to have a good time with those expectations.

OK so I have traveled many places in the world for decades but never to Thailand, about 10 years ago got only as close as the Philippines.

Now for the past almost 15 years living in Colombia and have played in every city and pueblo in Colombia both non-pro, freelancers and pros, I don't discriminate LOL, and I love Latin women especially Colombian chicas.

But out of curiosity I have read through a few pages on this forum and see the photos, the prices, the various venues and have drawn some conclusions namely:

1. The going rate is roughly 3000 BHT (Which is roughly $90 USD and here in Medellin I typically pay 130,000 Colombian pesos for a beautiful fresh and young gal with great attitude and girl friends sex to boot, now 130,000 pesos is about $35. USD.

2. The heat in Thailand is a turn off, I have partied in the Phillipines, the DR, Havana Cuba and all through Mexico and frankly the heat / humidity is no fun, unlike the weather we have in Medellin as it is always Spring here.

3. I just checked the airfare from Medellin Colombia to Thailand and you have to travel through the USA so the times to fly is about 2 days plus, no good then THE COST is ridiculous as I see the cost for RT as about $2,800 USD! Crazy. (I am curios as to what you are paying for a RT flight from a US city?

4. I have read and watched on YouTube that in Pattaya especially it is being overrun by Indians, is this true?

So all in all I just answered my own curiosity and questions, it is a no go for me to travel to Thailand.

I can fly RT from Medellin to the DR or Havana Cuba for about $335 USD and the flight is a few hours and not a few days.

Funny that I was on the fence about an Asian trip and was thinking maybe I should just do a trip to MDE instead. It's a short flight from southern Florida, I haven't been there, and I speak fairly decent Spanish. I have done a few trips to Cartagena and the heat there is even worse than in Florida. In the end I was going out to the west coast for another reason and figured I might as well keep going.

I am over 70, and I am beyond traveling just for cheap pussy. Although I will indulge extensively. At my age I don't believe in going or staying anywhere I don't want to be. I will enjoy the women in Bangkok and Pattaya until I am totally worn out. But I will also enjoy the food, the sights, the people, the temples, the markets, and just being somewhere completely different. I will get to MDE and the beautiful Colombian women, but there are things I want to see and I don't know how much longer I will be able to (or want to) make this kind of trip.

It's funny that the comparison to MDE has come up here, because as I was reading that forum I saw all the same complaints about how things have been ruined by (passport bros or insert group name), how the market has been ruined, and how the city isn't the same as it was (insert number of years) ago. Moreso in the Cartagena forum, and don't even look at the Sosua / DR forums. The fact is that everywhere is worse than it used to be. Unfortunately, we can't go somewhere 10 years ago; we can only go somewhere now.

As one more thought, IMO there is a difference between going somewhere for "sex" and "sex tourism". Sometimes the whole experience is more important than just the quality and price of the sex. I am sorely lacking in experience with Asian women, and I want to correct that oversight. I also want to experience Soi 6 and Nana Plaza and a blowjob bar and Thai massage parlors and Thermae and everything else. The entire experience is much more than the time it takes to bust a nut or two.

Anyway, first trip upcoming and I plan to be in Pattaya for a few days Aug 19-22. DMs are open if anyone wants me to buy them a drink or two while I am there. Tall Man, DM you when I make that MDE trip.
