Posts: 18757Exactly. And there was hardly anyone at the new location the couple of times I visited. It was more like tucked away in a business park. Definitely not getting any new customers that way. Only people who already knew the place from Soi 7 and looked the new location up on google maps.

The other day a chick tried to get me to take her to a Filipino restaurant. I told her no thanks. Last time I ate at one of those, I was on the toilet for 2 weeks. Ruining asparagus by drowning it in syrup gravy. What kind of bullshit is that?

Has anyone travelled from pattaya to koh samet? How was the experience, and is the island worth visiting? Heard its nice and small and pretty. Though I doubt one can get freelancers there.

Posts: 5457The number of ladies in Pattaya in November is about the same as October.

Posts: 1632I was just ready to ask how is the situation on the ground in Pattaya? I crossed the land border at Krong Poi Pet, 5 months ago, I guess that's no longer possible. Is that affecting the mongering in Pattaya? I read it's more than a border skirmish, with 15 death and fighter jets involved.

Thanks. I think I'll do mid November. I'd like to avoid the rains as much as I can. Will there be more supply of women in November? Last time when I visited during rainy season, I did not see too many good looking women around.

Posts: 5457There is mild uncertainty in Pattaya over the border clashes. A lot of the ladies come from the affected provinces, where some areas are being evacuated. Also, the area around Trat.
Cambodians are lying low. There are more of them than most people know.

Posts: 3442I believe the father owned and ran the one on Soi 7, prior to his death. When that happened the son from the Phili came to run it for a while, I remember one evening there were problems the long time cook, got pissed and left. I got all the rumor details from a long time waitress working there.

The waitress said the rent was like 250,000 be a month the key money was like 1-2 million baht. I thought that is a lot of F tacos one got to sell!
I believe it was sold to a Thai American family because they son in particularly spoke really good English remember something they were from Texas or something! As noted the location was a death sentence Covid put it to bed sadly.

Posts: 18757I ate at the original Tequila Reef here in the Philippines yesterday. I had a taco salad. Seems they pour vegetable soup on top of their taco salads. I had never had one with green beans, potatoes, and cubed carrots before.

Is October a good time to visit pattaya for action? Is it the end of the rainy season and can we expect many more girls walking the streets? Please advise. If Oct. Is not the right time I can come in Nov too.

Posts: 3808Excellent post. Sadly most TB in Thailand and Philippines are undiagnosed and untreated resulting into a severe illness. I have lost a good friend due to undiagnosed TB until it was too late. Get tested often.
