A slightly longer holdout (of about 14 days) up to Thanksgiving, would have been a tremendous additional "bad look" on the Fuhrer and his clown admin, that consistently claim to care about hardworking Americans.

Its just convenient for dems now to try and pin it on Trump, but in the end after they clearly show he has nothing to do with this, it will only make him more of an anti hero. Again, I am not saying that is right, just telling you what is going to happen.
I am also not buying 1000 under age girls raped and sold into sexual slavery, I am sure there were some, but I have a gut feeling most of these girls were over 18 and knew exactly what they were doing doing. I saw some girl who was 19 and referring to herself as a "victim" in an interview. Sorry you take money to jack off an old rich guy at 19 years old and you get no sympathy from me. 19 is an adult and you know what the fuckin game is by that point.
Epstein is still a human trafficker and a rapist and deserved to die a peasant's death, but I am skeptical of the 1000 plus underage girls being pimped out. And to also be very clear, any politician that sought out under age girls from Epstein should get life sentence as well. I am not condoning the cover up in anyway. I am just saying Epstein files are not political and they will expose politicians on the left, right, and every which way but loose. I can't blame Dems for how they are playing their cards in regards to the files, that's the world of politics at the moment and they need all the ammo they can get after being crushed single handedly by Donald in 2024.
And I am so confident on no charges or evidence ever convicting Trump, I give you my word, I will delete my account and never post again if Trump is convicted on any type of crime related to Epstein files. Based on all the evidence, files get released and show Trump to be a hero who cut ties with Epstein once he found out about his dirty dealings.

While the topic of the day might be the The ChristoFascist Mike / Trump / MAGA Pedo Protection Racket known as the GOP Majority Congress, has the Mainstream Media bothered to mention this being a Big Day for Donald Promises Made, Promises Kept Trump regarding those terrible, terrible gas prices he said he would lower on Day One?
We just hit a special Trump milestone on that issue; the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in the USA today is higher than it was yesterday, higher than it was a week ago, higher than it was a month ago and, lookie lookie here, higher than it was a year ago under Biden!
Congratulations, MAGA! And thank you and especially that relative handful of angry Muslims in the only 3 swing states that mattered whose vote swing from a Dem to a Repub by less than 0. 75 of a single percentage point in order to punish the Biden Administration for its support for Israel in the Israel-Gaza War, which they extrapolated to be support for Netanyahu, who they hated, is the sole reason Trump squeezed out a razor-thin victory this time.
https://gasprices.aaa.com/
It's a shame the typically pro Repub MSM is not headlining this special occasion for Trump. They sure as hell would be leading with it on every newscast and internet site if it happened under Biden at this point in his presidency. LOL.

Posts: 1960Epstein Pedo Sex Files, are so much more than just your Fuhrer!
O'brother, you can't be this naive...can you? I mean, there is just SO MUCH MORE going on with the Jeffery Epstein Pedo Sex Files (EPSF), than whether or not your MAGA Fuhrer was or wasn't participating in the same predatory behavior. Again, with regards to the EPSF, there is so much more going on, than meets the eye, just watch and all will be revealed.

Well Okay...maybe not a drug per say, but rather, a psychological discomfort."Cognitive dissonance is not a drug; it refers to the psychological discomfort experienced when a person holds conflicting beliefs or values. This discomfort can lead to stress and may motivate individuals to change their beliefs or behaviors to achieve consistency." ---Google Asst/Wikipedia
So YOU of all people, should (maybe?) understand, the current cognitive dissonance predicament, that House Repubs (and very soon the Senate Repubs) find themselves embroiled in, as your MAGA Fuhrer, censures, disavows and declares, more non-yielding unfaithful loyalists that won't LIE for him...excommunicado!
Take the latest defection (maybe to soon to tell?), from Marjorie Taylor Green (MTG) for instance? With children and a daughter of her own, no doubt she could hardly reconcile, the notion that reportedly over 1,000 girls were sexually abused, and her Fuhrer still won't release the EPSF and continues to deny and gaslight MAGA nation about his long-standing friend's (Epstein & Maxwell) pedophilia and child sex trafficking ring, was just a hoax, he so disparately wants everyone to believes.
I imagine, right up until Tuesday's vote to release the EPSF, that cognitive dissonance that manifests itself as "psychological discomfort" (you know what I mean), could be lethal if not managed correctly. After all, how do you look your constituency and family members (especially your daughters, wives, mothers, sisters, nieces, grandmothers, ...etc,), and tell them you choose blind loyalty to a wannabe dictator, child sex traffickers and pedophiles, over the rights of 1000+ girls, who were sexually abused, and their right to be heard and to see justice?
My suggestion to you, is for you to...SIT BACK, RELAX and ENJOY the all the backstabbing, finger-pointing, uncomfortable squirming, "psychological discomfort" and Republican political fallout (as is currently happening with the aforementioned MTG), that will occur, IMHO, as this beautiful self-inflected "wedge issue" (called EPSF) works it's magic, that I spoke of, in a previous post.

Posts: 7973I think they saw more pain for the American people than for the GOP occurring
Three of the Dems were already on board with signing the CR from the beginning so there was no calculated "timing" involved in their decision. The other 5 were obviously the safest ones to do it because they were not up for an election anytime soon. But I have no doubt that if 1-5 of them had refused to sign another 1-5 from the Dem caucus would have stepped in to do it.

As it is, the FAA still might not be fully staffed and ready to go that weekend. It was that close.
Imagine for a moment if there is a horrble plane crash during the upcoming holiday travel period. The FAA is already hobbled and primed for such an outcome thanks to President Musk and DOGE.
But it would be blamed on everyone who didn't sign on the line which is dotted to get the government up and running again.
As it is now, the blame for the Shutdown falls squarely on Trump and the Repubs, in all likelihood the ACA-related issues will still fall in favor of America and the Dems and the American people will be free to discuss the Trump / MAGA Pedo Protection Racket over their turkey dinners instead of blaming everyone for everything which like all "bothsider" BS only helps Repubs win elections that will empower them to inflict more pain and damage to the American people and thr USA economy.
Impossible to control every slithering twist and turn of those Repub snakes re whatever big payday they have conned out of someone along the way. On balance and bottom line, the Dems won the Trump / MAGA Repub Government Shutdown bigly. Which is much better for America than the alternative.

Posts: 1960Surely the Senator's "big payday" provision, could have waited?
BTW, I meant to ask, why those 8 Senators, couldn't have taken more time (say 14-days perhaps?? ...kkkk!) to suss out and remove that bogus provision for those 8 or so Repub Senators (like Lindsey Graham), from possibly, receiving a million (plus) dollar payday retroactively, from the LEGAL federal investigation searches, of their phone records (not phone tapping), without their knowledge in relation to Special Prosecutor Jack Smith's probe into President Donald Trump's role in the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol?

It does kinda makes those Senators look a bit impulsive and somewhat duplicitous in this Repub ruse?
Funding Bill Lets GOP Senators Sue for $1M Payouts Related to Jan. 6 Probe, Nov 13th, 2025. https://truthout.org/articles/fundin...o-jan-6-probe/.
I doubt you'd be in favor of this provision, but it does beg the question, "...did the 8 Senators (Dem & Indp), not see this?" What was the rush to include this exclusive Senators ONLY "big payday" provision?

Again, this was an incredible missed opportunity, when you consider, some of the worst and lowest approval ratings in history by a sitting president, with most polls showing 33% to 36% for the MAGA Fuhrer and often only marginally better for the Repubs, IMO it was the perfect time to apply a little more pressure and milk the situation.
With the wind in the sail's of Dems, due to the massive turnouts in the BIG WIN 2025 Elections and the polls indicating fairly strong approval of the Dems, a holdout of 2-weeks more, would have been just fine. Again, IMHO, right after a big win,...was no time for Dems to go soft!
So while President Biden, was there to administer relief and help for vulnerable Americans, in the way of boosted ACA tax credits, as you've noted, because of the MAGA Fuhrer's economic policies and stewardship were so disastrous, it remains to be seen, (especially when you consider the MAGA Fuhrer's pandemic {luckily}, happened at the end of his presidency), who's going to be there to administer the relief for Americans this time around, only slightly less than a year into this MAGA shit-show administrative term?

And lets not forget the fallout from the OBBB ACT, with a reported 15 million (??) Americans, that will lose Medicaid assistance?
