I also noticed AirBnBs around BTS Nana can also provide good value both in terms of price point and overall distance from the action. I am sure some of you have used it. I have used AirBnb in United States where I live, and I noticed from the AirBnB reviews that the process is pretty much standard. Seems like lot of good reviews.

I would like to ask the community if they have had any personal experience and how did it go with bringing over a "guest".
I stayed at an AirBnB on Sukhumvit 12 last year and it was fine, except for some issues with hot water pressure. There was no issue with bringing in ladies other than the need to use a card to open the lobby door and elevator, so if I wanted to call a lady over, I would have had to come down to bring her up.

On my first night there I brought over a lady from Nana plaza, and on another night I brought one from Soi Cowboy. In each case a quick tuk-tuk ride.

Thanks a million! Ibis Styles seems extremely nice although not exactly within the same price range I wonder if you have any other recommendations Also can you give me your two cents regarding Galleria 12?

Tuk tuks don't seem to ever get stopped for traffic, they do a lot of weaving in and out of traffic. I'm afraid of motorcycles, so I simply don't get on them.

The solution is to pick whatever girl you like from anywhere along Soi 4 and take a tuk tuk to your hotel. Walk across Sukhumvit and there are normally a few tuk tuks waiting for you. I offer 100 baht, they counter 200 baht, we settle at 150 baht. Tuk tuk is easier, faster, and cheaper than taxi/grab/bolt. I've never had a girl refuse to get in a tuk tuk with me.

Would it make a difference for GoGo girls or FLs to jump in Grab / Bolt with me and come as far as Soi 13, or would I get turned down a lot knowing how far it is for them to get back to where the action is. I will always give them more cash to get a return Bolt for them.

First Timer on International Trip. Hotel Question.

I may have asked a variation of this question before on a totally different thread, but sometimes when you phrase the question slightly differently and make it more open ended, you get totally different, and lot of times much better responses. So bear with me as I try to formulate my thoughts.

When choosing hotel of your choice, how close should I try and book close to where the action is, or it doesn't matter? Initially, I was trying to book Hotel Maison on Soi 2 and 4, which is as close to Nana Plaza for a good quality hotel, but there is some real value to be had if you go a little further out. And by further out I don't mean on the outskirts of the city or anything, but just a few Soi over. Another good hotel that caught my eye was Hotel Solitaire which is on Soi 13 . Not only it's a better price point but also I am told it's quieter.

Would it make a difference for GoGo girls or FLs to jump in Grab / Bolt with me and come as far as Soi 13, or would I get turned down a lot knowing how far it is for them to get back to where the action is. I will always give them more cash to get a return Bolt for them.

Most girls turn out to arrive just as expected, but not all of them.
In this case I know the girl very well since many years back. But as you advice, it feels better to meet up in the reception.

Most hotels (not all) make the girls leave the ID at reception on arrival (the girls know this) so in such cases the reception will then phone your room to check you booked it and then either bring them up to you, send them up to you or ask you to come down and meet them.

If you are knew to it, I'd recommend maybe telling them to wait at the entrance or downstairs in the lobby, you to meet them there. At least that way you can check them out, make sure they are as advertised etc before you let them in!

Share your room number and name, she will then inform the reception. The reception will most probably take her ID. In a way it's kind safer for you in case things go sideways.

The staffs would most probably guide her to the lift and enter the floor number.

It is the Dynasty Grande; bar opened up a couple of weeks ago. But sound does not reach that far up if you are on the higher floors.
