How I wish we could have Brannigan's again. Many meet-ups there for me when life was less complicated. The Brix scene (from the other thread) and prices are absurd. No way would I even contemplate going there again.

+100 to that, both the joys of the distant 'before days' and then insanity of the now.

I began making regular business trips to Singapore in the early '90's. Wonderful days. Being an Aussie, the exchange rate saw the AUD as high as $1. 50 against the Sing dollar, which immediately gave me an advantage, although it then sucked when the Aussie hit parity with the SDG.

Anyway, I was young and green and had no idea of the fun to be had in Singapore apart from the thick section of well-thumbed pages in the local Yellow Pages in the hotel room, and some previous visitors would often slip into those pages a card or flyer promoting their own escort service, plus of course OT! It was only catching a taxi from Changi to the hotel one evening after my flight arrived that the 'uncle' made conversation, said how local girls liked 'European' guys like me and I should go to Brannigans. Never heard of the place before, so made a point of checking it out.

I ended up having my own set of 'strategies' for Brannigans and later Brix. If I arrived late at night and didn't have the energy for a tumble I'd still visit Brannigans / Brix just to get the vibe and remind myself I was in this land of opportunity, I'd take the number of any girl I found interesting and call her the next afternoon, usually got very good prices that way too because the afternoon was usually not a time they'd get any work.

And when I was visiting the club with the intent to 'take out' I'd walk in, do a nice slow circuit of the bar and keep my eyes open on all the potentials, then settle down at a table in the corer just near the entrance, that way I could scope out the girls as they arrived and departed, as well as being as far from the band as I could be (didn't want too much noise getting the skyway of a chat with the ladies). Also the slightly better lighting helped avoid any nasty surprise when you emerged from the stairs into the street, girl in tow, and realized she looked quite a bit different in the light LOL.

Anyway, "ah the good old days" etc etc!

I had a couple of days in Singapore last weekend.

Checked out most of the houses in Geylang on Friday early evening. I don't have a good memory of the prices, I know some houses quoted me $100 for 30 minutes and $200 for 1 hour. I took a Thai for 1 hour for $150, who was okay, but she was a seasoned pro from Pattaya. Second round was $120 for a Viet for 1 hour who turned out to be a complete newbie so the service wasn't very good but she was warming up at the end and I was planning to go back, but never made it for reasons below.

After Geylang I headed to Brix for a look. After visiting Geylang I find that there is less pressure and I'll only choose to pay the bigger money if its a girl I know will be worth it. Also I wasn't expecting there to be many options considering it was Tet and most of the girls would be back home. But as it happens I ran into a girl I knew from years ago and ended up hanging out with her for the rest of the weekend.

Agree with you and my trips to Singapore are the same, I have never flown there just for the hobby, it's always been a 'normal' trip with some fun slotted in on the side.

Unfortunately that fun has become so much more expensive, just like everything else in Singapore actually.

On the surface Singapore seems expensive. But actually low cost options for almost everything exists if you know where to look. Some of the best food can be had for less than $5 a plate at Hawker centers. A decent massage costs only $40 USD per hour. And for mongering even if Geylang is not your scene there is a thriving online scene where for $100 USD you can get 90 min 2 shots GFE with a cute Thai girl. That's not much more expensive than Bangkok. I know a lot of this is not readily accessible to the short term tourist (for example online houses won't respond to non SG numbers). The in your face places like OT are history and the government wants to clean up. Anyway 4 floors of. In prime Orchard Rd was never going to last.

Hi, thanks for the detailed insights on the various options. Yes, I completely understand Singapore is not the place for pure mongering. I was there a long time ago and I loved the city, custom tailors, different cuisines, world class infrastructure and diverse local and expat communities. I am more interested in seeing the Marina and Quay area now. I was more curioius if meeting a lady is still a viable option given the Orchard Towers is closed. It seems Brix and Ipanema are overpriced also. Back when I was there I visited the Orchard Towers, but only looked and did nothing, I regret that in hindsight. Oh well.

Geylang is not my thing as I would me more concerned about hygiene and the volume seen by a provider there. However, to each their own, and I do not judge anyone. Neither would be overpriced Caucasian ladies, when Australia, and Europe have much better options.

Lastly, I am stilll trying to figure out if tinder, wechat and pinaylove are viable options to meet some on your own. I have read really bad reviews about pinaylove though.

OT was one of a kind, and after the inevitable closure and the pandemic it was never replaced, well it was pretty much irreplaceable in terms of super-convenient location and concentrated 'density' of options. Brix was my go-to, a real smorgasbord of women from different parts of Asia and around the world, but all reports say pricing is now out of control. Geylang was never my sort of place either.

Tinder, Date in Asia (website) and PinaLove are all good options IMHO, as is WeChat and the 'People Nearby' feature. On PinaLove and DIA you find mostly Pinay domestic helpers who are available only on Sunday, their day off aka "off day", although you can also find some who have a different day off during the week and some Pinays who work in shops.

WeChat can be great on a Sunday if you connect with a nearby DH on her day off, managed to zoom up with an Indo DH one Sunday afternoon like that, she was at a mall near my hotel, we connected, chatted, I invited her for a beer and said she could also cool off with a shower in my room, she agreed and headed my way, I nipped down to the 7-11 for two bottles of whatever beer she said she liked, and we had a very enjoyable romp before she headed home. No money changed hands, like many DHs she was just missing that attention, affection and sex.

DIA, I have written a lot of notes on this in the past here, get onto it before your trip and start making contacts and then shortlisting for your visit.

PinaLove, I think I have written up tips for that on the HK forum here, there are a few 'tricks' you can do to get around the messaging limit, otherwise broadly similar to DIA in terms of hit-miss ratio.

BIG tip for both and also Tinder, if you connect with a Singaporean woman especially DH, do a video call beforehand so you can see how much she looks like her photos, and try to get some of her body shown in that call, even clothed is fine (complement her on her top or make some other reason for her to down down etc), because a LOT of the time their profile photo might be way out of date. Had that happen to me a while back, I just went off the profile photo, when she rocked up at the hotel it was obvious the photo in her profile was taken when she was 20 years younger and 20 kg lighter! These days if I can't get the video call with them, I will either write them off, or they can come to the hotel lobby to meet me but I will carefully place myself out of immediate line of sight, might be upstairs looking down into the foyer or on a couch well away from the door with a newspaper or something so I am not obviously looking at my phone, and I will scope them out before I introduce myself. Not liking what I see in the flesh? I mean, I am forgiving of some extra years and padding, no drama at all, I don't mind that at all, but not blatant mis-representation, so if what arrives in the lobby or cafe if nothing like then photo then I can subtly walk away and then message that I'm held up on an urgent phone call, then say sorry but can't make it now, something's come up etc.

Hi, it's more like I have given up on Singapore. I should have taken advantage of things when I was there 2 decades ago, and when I was much better looking. LOL!

LOL I known that feeling, well, add an extra decade or two back in my case. When I first started visiting Singapore for work I had NO idea of what fun and debauchery lay under the sanitised surface! Of course this was also before the Internet was commonplace (I told you it was a long time ago! Let alone the sort of websites and now mobile apps we take for granted. Hell, in those days everyone in Singapore seemed to carry a pager instead of a smartphone LOL.

I was hunting on MR, the girls there are paranoid bcs they are lacking the government whoring permit and the photos are fake. I went for a bombshell of a pinoy girl from MR (her photos were like 12 out of 10) who advertised 400 $ per hour, found an OK looking Thai-Filipina who was very pretty in her face with a body that was somewhat lacking on fitness, I would say 7/10. I was pissed about the switcheroo but she apologized, told me how paranoid all the girls are, how expensive the hotels are etc. She was nice so we ended up agreeing on 200 $ American for ST, the service was good but the overall hassle. Just go to Thailand if you can.

Also there's always Geylang but that's not my thing.

Yes I've been a victim of "bait and switch" as well. You just have to work through them. Sometimes you may find a keeper.

That's interesting. Those are basically Western prices, except for maybe Geylang and the massage parlors.

You will find all types of Pinay, Viets, and yes even locals. The only caveat is sometimes those photos are misleading. I try to get them to at least video call first. Also, never leave a deposit. If they ask just move on. Plenty of them there and they have listings the world over! My go to when I'm out and about!

I plan to visit Ipanema, Circular Road at the Boat Quay stretch, and maybe Brix. I plan to also try WeChat (nearby feature) and PinayLove. I had some questions about your experiences on Tinder and PinayLove.
- Did you get a lot of responses and interest on those platforms?
- If so, were the ladies responding nice and genuine?
