Posts: 1633Thailand I would say is a better alternative to PH, been to Bangkok Hospital chain in Hua Hin, and was ultra modern, with robots roaming the hallways and raiding the elevators on their own. No such thing in the US.

As I am long past retirement age, health and health checkups become more important, even though I am in good fettle. I have found Angeles good for that (and haircuts. Physio and dentists) but I would like to get a full executive check up and am looking at Baguio https://notredamebaguio.com/executive-check-up as it seems quite straightforward by Pinoy standards. I am unsure what some of the differences are between the various packages in all the offerings and consultants' fees are a worrying variable.
I prefer hospitals as opposed to clinics and I do realize they have to cater to locals of lesser means. Also, many of their websites are basic.
While in Angeles, I was referred to all the hospitals for various things, including a sleep study, intestinal check (to remove polyps) and much more; they ration a lot of the specialties between themselves which is good. Altogether, I dropped serious cash on all this but, if I want to hang around Planet Earth longer (5-15 years max), that is the price I have to pay.
I have checked a number of places in the Phils from Gen Santos to far up north and this seems to be the simplest. Manila is too big for me. ClarkMedical is not my thing.
I am prepared to go to Turkey or east Europe (Poland) too but there is the problem of not understanding the various packaes, the cold and the lack of LBFM fringe benefits.

Posts: 197Aircon in some (most) hotels are not cleaned so the air blowing out is full of mold etc. I started coughing almost immediatly when entering the room. Complained to the front desk to have the Aircon cleaned, it was a higher end hotel so within an hour someone showed up with a ladder and flashlight, "Yes Sir, dirty". That same day a crew came with pressure equipment to clean it inside and the filter. After cleaning the air was great.

Posts: 8127Yes. Logged on fine yesterday around 10 am. Then tried around 5 pm, and on the first attempt I got this (see pic): "You have used up your failed login quota! Please wait 15 minutes before trying again". Previously it was 3 failed attempts. I get this from time to time, after just one incorrect PW attempt. I waited and tried again later, careful to enter the PW correctly, but got the same message several more times during the evening around 7 and 10 pm. It worked fine this morning. The internet gods like to eff with me sometimes.
