Posts: 101I agree a great hotel. I stayed at the Sheraton Grande for 5 nights in May. Good location across from Terminal 21 and close to Asok BTS station. Good gym and pool. I even had a massage girl spend the night. No trouble.

I really enjoyed the pool but had a strange shape that made it awkward for swimming, but I liked the tropical motif. Room service breakfast was great and like the convenience of direct access to the BTS.

Posts: 263Normally, my go to hotel when in Bangkok for a couple of days. If you do choose to stay there, save your money on paying extra for a room with breakfast. Breakfast just ok, definitely not worth the added 600-700 Baht price.

Hotel Positives:
- Location.
- Japanese Toilets.
- Friendly Staff.
- Clean and Modern.
- No ID check for additional guests.
- Very comfortable bed, bedding and pillows.
Hotel Negatives:
- Rooms are small for the price.
- As mentioned, breakfast not worth the price. Same goes for room service food items.
- No balcony rooms, if you smoke you'll have to go outside the hotel near the Soi 4 drive-way entrance.

Posts: 263Small and basic bathroom. Shower had good pressure and water temp. Again, pretty basic room. Nothing special. Nothing gross.

I am kinda the king of hotel shopping and recently found the Maison, which has amazing location for Nana and appears to be quite nice. Not as nice as Landmark but half the cost! It gets an 8. 8 on Booking. Anyone stayed there and offer some thoughts. Else I will just toftt and report back.

Hi Pare. How were the bathrooms in this hotel room (water temp and water pressure)? Where the bathroom fixtures somewhat modern. I thinking about breaking up my 11 day trip among two different hotels (one higher end and one lower end) and this seems like a spot I can three nights at. If I recall correctly, Therma is the meat market with stairs heading down from his hotel? Is that correct. I think they had a sign that said to enter and browse, you had to purchase at least one drink.

Posts: 263Ok, stayed here on 2 separate nights. Decent ROI, ok room (though small). Ok bed / bedding. Ok cleanliness. Ok staff and great location. Wouldn't recommend it for a long stay, but for 4-5 days it's alright.

Will have a transit night in BKK on my return leg from Angeles City, seriously thinking about staying at a FIWFAN hotel. If you don't know what I mean, on FIWFAN you'll find a number of ladies stay at the same hotel and some of them are fairly decent (passable for a 16 hour lay-over) 3 Star hotels.

Back from 17 days.
JW Marriot for seven. Just too dam expensive to justify probably won't do again but I've earnt a few free night to use in the future.
They didn't blink an eyelid when I roll up at 4 am with 3 girls in a tuk tuk. Also find the internal food option too pricey to justify.
There is a great little sports bar on the same block with good food options.
Adelphi on SOI 8 for 10 days in the Premier Suite. Could live in this to be honest.
Like the washing machine and kitchen not that I used the later too much.
Will only stay here in future. Monsoon restaurant downstairs in great as is the sister venue Viva down the road is also awesome. There is a all night food option down the ally from Viva. Fantastic.
Its just such a great location. Escalator over to Soi 11 and easy work to Soi4 down the back lane and not that far from Soi Cowboy.
Yes there is building work behind but they are still working on foundation. My average go to sleep time was 6 am and overall wasn't too bothered by the noise. It is there though.

By suggestion I canceled all my hotel reservations and reversing my trip and going to Pattaya first and Bangkok last.
I was planning on staying at the Delphi Suites in a one bedroom premier. I like the location and room but these rooms are on the backside corner and rumor has it there is a new building going up there so lots of daytime noise.
So unsure if I want to book it for the different days. The Marriott looks great but not sure I want to spend quite that much.
Any updates on noise or something mid range like the Adelpi and around Nana area?

Hey guys,
Just wanted to check are Ibis properties are generally girl-friendly?
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's stayed at one before or has any firsthand experience. Thanks!

True enough. Westins are always lovely. But at more than 2 x the Landmark I find it hard to justify. A quick price scan for tomorrow says:

For my money Aloft doesn't even make the cut. And I'the def do Landmark for a few $$ more than Doubletree. Of course if value doesn't matter and you have unlimited funds then Westin is always a great choice.
It also depends on length of stay. If it’s two nights. Sure. What’s $400. The Westin. But if it’s ten nights then suddenly the different between the Westin and the Landmark is over $1000. Now I’m paying attention. And it’s the Landmark for me!

Posts: 199The JW Marriott is a very nice hotel. Totally guest friendly and excellent location, close to Nana. The Manhattan Bar also serves a really good Old Fashioned.

Posts: 514You are correct sorry, I was automatically thinking the one on Soi 26. I did actually compare prices because I am booking a trip and when Aloft was mentioned I thought I'd see what it is these days. So Doubletree Ploenchit is 25% more expensive than Aloft.
