Just rolled up to Poseidon. It was either that 3 pm is a bad time to go or things have really gone downhill there. Last time I visited a long time ago there could have been 60 or more women on leveled podiums you walk around. OK, I'll bite. Every country is different, of course. Maybe the biggest differentiator between countries / continents is the culture. Thai culture is very polite, very welcoming, and very helpful. On one hand, Thai culture is ancient and you will always be farang / outsider. But given that, Thai culture is very hospitable. Not to knock beautiful Romania, but Thai culture is nearly the opposite. Thai culture is also a bit conservative, so no outdoor bjs.

There's a very wide variety of options in Bangkok, probably wider than any place I've been. I'd strongly encourage avoiding websites (Thai Friendly, etc), and instead go out and encounter actual people, be they bargirls, freelancers, massage girls, BJ bar girls, or whatever. One thing Thailand doesn't have is nude brothels, like the FKKs in Germany. If you miss that, you'll want to go to Germany.

There are, however, a couple of ladyboy clubs in Nana that you'll probably want to avoid. Keep in mind that Thai girls tend to be fairly short. Solid information from Khun Steve. Bravo. I usually spend the majority of my holiday in Pattaya because I love the chilled out beach vibe. SOI COWBOY: In my view, a shadow of its former self. The bars run by "the Arab" are clip joints. Hot girls will lure you inside and pressure you to buy drinks which turn out to be ridiculously overpriced. You'll leave with blue balls, angry with yourself for being so stupid. For sure "the Arab" runs Rio, Deja Vu, Midnite Bar, Suzie Wong & Spice Girls. He may own more. He does *not* own Baccara or Crazy House. So if you must patronize Soi Cowboy, start with those two places. Otherwise, SC feels to me like it's trading on it's reputation. Too many civilian gawkers. Too much *outside* seating. Inside the bars the girls are just going through the motions.

NANA PLAZA: Inside the plaza itself you'll find multiple go-gos. I've always like the talent they attract: young, fit, pretty face and usually less ink. But if you're looking for taller, curvier and a whiter shade of pale you'll have to check out the upscale soapies like LaBelle and bring a fat wallet. Not that the Nana go-go hotties are cheap. You'll be expected to pay for some drinks, plus a bar fine of 1000-2000, plus a short time fee for the girl that starts around 3000 and goes up. There are short time rooms in the plaza, but the smarter move is to book lodging on Sois 2, 4 or 6. Plenty of options at all prices points. As far as Nana here's a few tips / faves from my POV.

Nana opens at 8 but takes a bit to get rolling. The exception is Red Dragon where there will be 20+ hotties from 8 PM sharp. Great place to start. Be forewarned they have a policy of two lady drinks if you call a girl off stage. Not a scam. Just policy. Know that going in.

Billboard is the best bet for a packed party atmosphere and has a rotating stage that is uber cool. Even if you don't pull from billboard it is a great place to spend time. But I've also pulled some stone cold hotties from there.
