Nice chart. I'll explain this in a way you'll understand. Say you took a scratch and sniff photo and rubbed it all over a menstruating prostitute's pussy. Then put it under a microscope. And you see she has full blown AIDS and syphilis. And a single crab. Well that crab has as much effect on that hoe's overall well being as Trump's pressure on the Saudi's had on Bidenflation. The biggest cause of Bidenflation, in the USA and worldwide, was too much stimulus spending during the Biden administration.

OPEC is a cartel. Once in a while, Saudi Arabia and / or OPEC raises output to try to put oil producers in countries like the USA out of business. Then after output outside OPEC plummets, it jacks the price of oil way up. This happened in 2014 to 2016, and again in 2020, and USA Shale producers were the biggest targets. In March and April of 2020, the Saudis started to play this game, to pressure both Russian and USA producers. COVID was destroying demand but they increased production from 9 million barrels per day to 12 million barrels per day! The price of oil plunged to negative levels (oil producers had to pay people to take their oil) at certain delivery points in the USA. United States production fell from 13.1 million barrels per day to 9. 7 million barrels per day.

When Trump left office in January, 2021, the price of oil was $53 per barrel. This wasn't quite high enough to maintain USA Production level in the long term. But at least it was sufficient to keep USA Producers from plugging and abandoning their marginal wells, which would have meant certain reserves would have been lost forever. The price of oil didn't really pop until 2022, during the lead up to and beginning of the Russian / Ukrainian conflict.

Instead of encouraging USA Oil and gas production, Progressive Democrats did the opposite. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris campaigned to ban fracking, which would have sent USA production spiraling downwards. Joe Biden during the campaign said he'the be content to just end drilling on federal leases. Which was incredibly stupid. About 25% of USA Oil production and 12% of USA Gas production was from federal leases. Biden did this, but had to back down quickly because of political pressure and the courts.

Thank goodness the Progressive Democrats didn't get their way! We would have been fucked when the Russia / Ukraine conflict came along. And when Netanyahu and Trump decided to attack Iran a second time.

Yes a lot of Americans move to third world countries, like Thailand, Costa Rica, Mexico and France because their retirement dollars go farther. You must know a lot more about French history than American history. Maybe you could comment on France's massacres in Algeria, slavery in Indochina and the Caribbean, and imperialistic conquest and subjugation throughout the world.

    The A. I. Overview:

Did Trump's 2020 OPEC deal drive oil and gas prices higher?
    +5
Yes, Donald Trumps 2020 OPEC deal played a direct role in driving oil prices higher by halting an unprecedented market crash. The agreement was orchestrated in April 2020 to pull the energy sector out of a catastrophic free-fall, where prices had dipped to near-zero and even turned negative due to pandemic-related demand destruction and a simultaneous price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia.

    How the deal influenced prices:

The Interruption: Trump threatened to withdraw U.S. military support from Saudi Arabia unless an agreement was reached, brokering a historic OPEC+ cut of 10 million barrels per day (about 10% of global supply).Immediate Stabilization: The deal prevented a total collapse of the U.S. shale industry by successfully stanching the price bleed. West Texas Intermediate (WTI), the U.S. benchmark, rebounded from historic lows and stabilized around the \(\$40\) per barrel mark by the end of 2020.Longer-term Market Rebalancing: By establishing limits on global supply, the deal created a foundation that set the stage for oil prices to steadily recover as global economies eventually reopened. For granular data and analyses on how these cuts shaped the energy market during the pandemic, you can review the U.S. Energy Information Administration's OPEC+ Report or read the historical market analysis provided by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).OPEC+ agreement to reduce production contributes to global oil ...Sep 23, 2563 BE The U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) monthly data show that OPEC total crude oil production decreased by 6.0 million b/d from April to May, which ...

Yes, yes, we all heard about your bizarro world economic and business cycles excuse that bizarrely only punish Repub presidents no matter how short or long a stretch of terms they serve and otherwise reward Dems no matter how short or long Dem Administrations serve.

Oh and the wild coincidence theory.

And the ever popular with MAGAs 100 years of bad luck for Repubs vs good luck for Dems theory.

None of them hold up to minimal scrutiny.

Not even your "but some obscure Repub congressman sneezed during Clinton's presidency and that's why it turned out so well" type theory you're trying to float here. Lolol.

And through it all, apparently the wild coincidence, the bizarro world 100 years long economic and business cycles, the witch's curse on Repubs and the obscure Repub congressman sneeze theories and excuses still don't explain why and how when Repubs finally do get their constant wish granted to control the Presidency, House and Senate they have still only managed to produce another Great Repub Depression, Great Repub Recession or Historic Repub Jobs Destruction and never, never, never manage to get around to, oh, producing a better healthcare program or legislation than The Affordable Care Act. Or even one as good. Or something better for Americans than Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Science and Chips Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, etc, etc, etc. Or even something as good.

Man oh man, you must be very pleased with that scratch and sniff photo of Clinton's dick and balls, the only discernible contribution to one of the Dems' boom economic results any Repub can take credit for, to still be defending and providing excuses for your beloved Repubs' 100 years of running the table on every major downturn for America and none of the historic boom times.

Pay no attention to this Real News report and source, MAGAs

Americans savings rate fall as inflation outpaces paychecks.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2026/05/28/savi...ndroidappshare

The personal savings rate defined as the share of income Americans have after taxes and expenses hit 2.6% in April, according to data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis released on Thursday. Thats down from 3.2% in March, and 5.8% a year prior.

"I thought 2.6% for April was a typo at first. It is so low, Heather Long, chief economist at Navy Federal Credit Union, said in an email. Outside of the revenge spend era of 2022, the personal savings rate has almost never been this low in the past 65 years.
    ..........
"Even with tax cuts, paychecks arent keeping up with inflation right now," said Long. "Its more than just high gas prices. Its rising electricity, healthcare and food prices. These are the basics that people must pay. Its harder to skimp on these items."

Inflation rose 3.8% in April from a year earlier, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the highest level since May 2023. Wage growth also began to lag inflation in April, with average hourly earnings rising 3.6% from the previous year, BLS data shows.
Yes, it's one thing when there is a momentary decline in the savings rate while Americans are celebrating the recovery from the Trump's Pandemic economic collapse while Biden's policies and stewardship of that historic economic recovery was not only recovering the millions of jobs Trump's decisions wiped out but were also going on to create millions more private-sector jobs than all three previous Repub presidents combined. Pedodent Rape VanWinkle Trump included, of course.

But it is quite another thing and a serious problem when Americans' savings rates are steadily declining while they are charging ordinary living expenses on high interest rate credit cards, depleting their retirement savings, the lion's share of which gains occurred under Biden, the buying power of their money is not keeping up with Pedodent Rape VanWinkle Trump's across-the-board tariffs prices increase inflation and jobs creation is averaging a paltry 31,000 or so per month over the past 16 months despite him and his Repub Congress adding Trillions and Trillions to their deficts.

    Oh well.

    We tried.
