In PP for a week at start of August and my bank gave me $100 bills which I understand causes big hassle in PP so will have to exchange them for smaller bills.

Should PP not make it easier for tourists I. E. Not making it so hard for tourists with a $100 bill as that is what most banks and ATM's give. I am sure this causes annoyance daily for travelers and mongers.

Not that big of a hassle. I normally bring at least 40 1. 00 dollar bills, 10 5. 00 dollar bills, 10 10.00 dollar bills, 10 twenty dollar bills and 6 50.00 dollar bills along woth my 100.00 bills for a week stay.

If I need to break a hundred I'll just hit 711 (normally, will get change in USD down to 5. 00 dollar bills and below that it'll be riel) or I'll hit Naga World (cash cages operate in USD and you'll even get 1. 00 dollar bills, I've even got 2. 00 dollar bills a few times).

Also, depending the length of your stay having 100.00 USD in riel isn't a problem. Easy to use for Grab rides, tips and small purchases.

Oh, almost forgot the airport Starbucks also will give you change similar to 711. If you need smaller bills for bus / taxi fare to your hotel.

PP prices can vary a lot depending on which bar area you take the girls from. I found that $80 usd is the average asking for ST from 136 and 130 and $70 is the average from other bars. I do not do long time these days as I prefer to sleep once the girls are gone. In the past I looked for the morning fun as well but as I am older I prefer to sleep and save the ammo for the next night. My wingman prefers to have the long time and they ask for $150 but settle for less. We do spend a lot on drinks when we are in the bars so they do make money from that as well.

Our stroll around the bars last night was the same. A lot of girls and not a lot of punters. Not a lot of standout lookers but if you walk slowly and get close enough you will find a few gems. We found a few in Wild Orchid and we did notice that the bars around that section seem to have a highest percentage of better quality girls. We did head to street 104 but it was fairly dead and not any girls of quality. Since the factory closed that street seems to be dead again. Airforce One was once one of my favourites but these days it has little of quality.

So, while the prices asked may start off high, the lack of punters and sheer number of girls means that everything is negotiable. YMMV.

Back in PP for a few days. First night was spent along 130 and 136 bars and it was pretty much as expected. Lots of bars with lots of girls and not a lot of punters. Went to a few bars along 130 and decided to drop into Wild Orchid. Not a lot of talent in that bar so after a few drinks we decided to head across the road to Alaska bar. Again not a lot of talent but a lot of very eager girls. One in particular caught the eye and so I invited her over for a drink and chat. She was a pretty girl with a nice body that was well looked after. The bar has a nice pool table so we played a few games of pool and to my surprise she actually could play well. After the second drink I asked her if she bar fined and she said yes. My wingman also managed to find a girl that suited his tastes and so we spent the next few hours drinking and playing pool. The only hassle was the mummies and other girls constantly nagging for drinks, which after a few hours we had enough of and decided to take the girls back to the hotel. My girl was a little shy and a little timid but was willing to let me do as I pleased. Plenty of DFK, DATY and multiple positions with her very tidy body. While not a PSE or GFE, she did nonetheless managed to ensure that I got to finish. WIR, maybe but it is early in the trip and a few more bars to try.

The second night we decided to try a few of the bars along 136. The one we used to go a lot to Xanadu looked light on for talent but Bar 69 looked promising. So we went in and immediately found two girls to suit our tastes. I did have fun in the bar last trip and again it lived up to my previous experience. My girl very pretty and spoke good English and was a little on the naughty side. The pool table there is Ok but the area is squeezed for size so playing some shots is very challenging. The thing I like about Bar 69 is that there is no push to buy drinks and the girls are very relaxed. That said, not a lot of talent in that bar this time around. After a few hours we headed back to the hotel. My girl was definitely a seasoned performer and knew the right moves and ways to get me fired up. Definitely a PSE but not a GFE. Lots of DATY, multiple positions and some very good BJ action. WIR, maybe. As I said, a lot more bars yet to be explored. Still very few punters and a lot of eager girls. You need to spend time to find the gems though. Will report on more bars as the trip evolves.

I recommend leaving your wallet and other valuables at the hotel safe whenever possible.

Is there a street / area similar to Alley 22 Sukhumvit in BKK that has a concentration of massage places offering HJ? Not looking for higher end spa, just a straight forward oil massage with he. What is the going rate for this? Just read about the $5 massage with complimentary apparel rummaging.

The Factory bar on St. 104 has been a topic here more than once. Good reviews by various hobbyists. Seems like the local police did not share the same sentiments; or maybe a supplemental tax wasn't paid on time? Like most high end bars on the tour you will be paying premium prices for not necessarily premium girls. Having been to many high end bars in Bangkok, Singapore, KL, and China over the years I soon realised that the looks did not always match performance or cost. I have been to Darlin Darlin many times but not the last 4 years of trips to PP. There are way too many bars and girls in PP to spend money on so called "high end girls". Yes they may dress better, look better and talk better, but IMHO the girls in the bars along 130,136 and 108 can be just as much fun and cost nowhere near as much. Drinks are cheaper too. That said, everyone is different and that is Ok. I still pop into a high end bar occasionally on tour, but it is more to see what is on offer and then I head out to bars to buy. Paying $100 USD for LT with a girl from a PP bar beats $300 USD ST with a girl from Darlin Darlin, YMMV.

I used to start out every evening barhopping the hostess bars along 130,136 and 108 looking for a good looking girl with good vibes. My Phnom Penh problem since around 2011 is that it is not as easy to find what I am looking for as one might think thanks to the "buy me drink only" status of what usually turns out to be the "better looking" girls in the bar. I play the hostess game until around 11 pm when if I have not found the girl I am looking for, I will head over to Darling Darling where I always find desirable girls albeit at a steeper price.

But all that was pre-Covid. What I am hearing now about Darling Darling's new sitting fees and barfines sounds horrible and it will affect how I punt in PP. But I still like the concept of having a high-quality backup bar available if all else fails.

Walk in, sit down, have dozens of younger women size you up. By younger. I mean that most of the women here seemed to be between 21-30 and all were fairly attractive compared to what you might find in the red light districts or free lancers elsewhere. My problem was the over-inflated market rates. I think it was $75 for sitting fee, $75 for bar fine, and the girls themselves wanted $500 for an all-nighter. That is on top of the alcohol tab. Pretty sure at that point, I wasn't thinking straight so I just agreed to everything and even made a quick trip to the Casino right there in Naga World. Can anyone confirm similar pricing? I feel like you should be able to get multiple chicks for $500.

It wasn't all a sore spot though. Like I mentioned, they do have quality women (compared to other places) but what do I do, I've only been to PP on two separate occasions. The girl that I did end up taking with me was pretty cool. We actually ended up meeting up for a date on a different night in Bassac Lane. Total GFE. Dinner, drinks, karaoke, walking around holding hands, touching and kissing. Back at the hotel I only gave her $300 for the night. I feel like that is even too high. YOLO. Ce La Vie. On another night, hanging out in Bassac Lane again, I picked up a random freelancer and only gave her $100 and she was totally fine with that. She wasn't necessarily "working" at the time but her friends were, but I wanted her, but my cousin who got with her friend who was actually working gave her the same as me ($100).

In Feb, Darling Darling wasn't me and my friends cup of tea. Way to expensive and didn't see anything we liked, drinks were 4-5 times the cost compared with 130/136 bars and girls were asking for 300.00 USD (not sure if that was LT or ST, but will assume it was ST). Don't know about sitting fees and barfine prices, as didn't see anything I liked. Though, 75.00 USD sitting fee and barfine prices is crazy.

IMO, Darling Darling and F1 at Naga World operates in their own eco-system on pricing. Just from my few visits will say there are equal or even better looking women available on the 130/136 street bars in the 150.00 USD LT rate with 20.00 barfines, 5. 00 USD lady drinks and no sitting fee.

If you have the money, found something you like (at them prices she better of been one of those I got to do ladies), had a good time and got what you wanted / expected then. Who am I to question it.
