As soon as some a-hole resorts to race baiting and intimidation in a futile attempt to win the argument, I know 2 things: 1) that person is a lowlife with limited intelligence and 2) that person does not have any real data to back up his argument.
Obviously, you are back on my ignore list. Have fun living in Pattaya on the cheap. You wouldn't be able to enjoy your present lifestyle if you were not a black American.

Posts: 7740Inflation Good. Target is 2% WTF?!
Someone who thinks this is good news for citizens of the Dis United States of America is not sane. They have lost their (compound profanity redacted) mind.

This estimate uses the Rule of 72, a standard mental math shortcut for compound interest and inflation:
Years to halve value=
Inflation Rate: 3.5%
72/3.5=20.57 years
While the Rule of 72 provides a quick approximation, precise calculations show that at exactly 3.5% inflation, purchasing power drops by 50% after roughly 19.8 years. For context, at a lower 2% rate, it would take 35 years to lose half your purchasing power, whereas at a higher 5% rate, it would take only 14 years.

The Dis United States of America is a country that uses race as a distraction from the deep wealth and income inequalities in the greater society. My first boss said: Nigger if you don't like the work conditions around here find a mother fucking job. That is the Dis United States I went to work in.
So, two middle fingers up to people are trying to tell me there is no racism in the Dis United States of America and that the history of slavery does not affect Black Americans to this day economically.
From the Hoover Institution (not exactly a liberal organization):
The Long Shadows Of Slavery And Jim Crow: Uncovering The Economic Impact On Black Americans
Click and read the article (take you about 4 minutes is the estimate). Educate yourselves. I would name names but you know who you are.

How come Russia still be in one piece? Why they economy not collapse yet? With all the success Ukraine's had in drone striking them to oblivion, how come Russia still be standing?
Things that make you go hmmmm.
When you read Russia news, they say everything is awesome. When you watch Ukraine news, they say it's going great. Who's telling the truth here? Why can't we believe anything anymore since everything is just AI these days?
How is it that mitch McConnell is alive but linsey graham is dead? Did AI report the wrong news?

Posts: 7740Does the Republican Party care if I'm black? Elvis2008 does!
Elvis2008 mentions race and no one in the Rich Racist Republican party has anything to say about it. That means by definition you support racism in your party. It that is not true, you are free to share with me your efforts to combat racism within the Republican Party.
I am not a Democrat nor a Republican!

Until they explain the poverty numbers in the Dis United States of America as I have laid out in a previous post, they can talk to my hand.

American Indian and Alaska Native populations experienced the highest poverty rate at 19.3%, followed closely by Black individuals at 18.4%. Hispanic poverty rates were reported at 16.6% in 2023 and roughly 18% in 2024 data depending on specific census metrics, while White (non-Hispanic) poverty rates remained the lowest among major groups at approximately 7.7% to 11.5%. Asian populations had the lowest recorded poverty rate at 7.5% to 10.1% in recent years.
American Indian/Alaska Native: ~19.3% (2024)
Black: ~18.4% (2024)
Hispanic: ~16.6% - 18% (2023-2024)
White (non-Hispanic): ~7.7% - 11.5% (2023-2024)
Asian: ~7.5% - 10.1% (2023-2024)
The racial gap in poverty has shown signs of expanding in recent years, with Black poverty rates rising from a record low of 17.1% in 2022 to 18.4% in 2024, which is 2.4 times the rate for non-Hispanic White Americans.
Asking a white man who is a member of the Republican party about white privilege like asking a fish if they ever hear of water. They don't realize that they are swimming in it.

The 10 best state economies in America in 2026

I would have posted the list from 10th to 1st as I did with the previous Best and Worst states in which to live for the sake of simplicity. But for whatever reason that didn't make the transmission from submission to posting here. So I didn't bother to do it this time. While the odds of a U.S recession have fallen sharply in the last year, companies are still looking to set up shop in states with solid economies.
With states loudly touting their own economic strength, Economy is one of the most important categories in CNBCs annual competitiveness study, Americas Top States for Business.
Several states stand out for their economic strength this year, based on factors including job growth, strong housing markets and healthy budgets with relatively lows levels of public debt.
..........
To score each states economy, we consider a variety of factors including economic growth, job growth and the number of major companies headquartered in the state. We also measure each states fiscal health including its budget situation, its long-term obligations and its debt ratings, as well as the health of the residential real estate market. We also consider the impact of tariffs, the potential impact of federal budget cuts, foreign direct investment, and small business survival rates.
While some states are flashing economic warning signs, these ten states have what it takes to power through whatever the U.S. economy throws their way.
Oh, BTW, we're all still waiting for you, our resident link / substantiation-free data monitor, to issue all those well-earned Pinocchios to Canada for his repeated utter BS claims about the current USA unemployment rates, wage growth, inflation rates, the USA stock market gains over the past 18 months vs the previous 18 months, etc, etc, etc.
Is that coming "in about two weeks"?

Posts: 1298I am not black but I know several black guys working in the oil fields in Canada, Wyoming and North Dakota making over $100,000 a year. They own their own houses and belong to the County Club. Pretty sure they weren't slaves and their parents and grandparents weren't slaves. Not sure of the difference between them and you but they work hard and are making good money. Being black doesn't seem to bother them.

Posts: 1468Using race as an excuse for personal failure is a ruse and it hurts more young American blacks than just about anything else in the world. Success does not come easy. Nobody hands you your success on a platter. You have to work for it and you have to ignore all the assholes and all the peer pressure that tells you different. Are you an Afro American?

Posts: 1468Tiny, I am no legend. In fact, I hardly post Scan reports anymore because I go there so seldom nowadays since I started doing the monogamous thing with the Missus every night. KKK. That's right, monogamy! But don't cry for me, Tiny, I still play around in the afternoons at various clinicas and I met some great clinca girls on my last visit. Anyway, my main contribution to the SP forum is found in my early reports on Scan & Bomboa just after they re-opend in October 2021. Those were good times!

I am primarily a solo act.

ChatGPT Pro, after crunching for about two minutes: Using 2024 presidential results to classify states as red or blue, recent domestic migration has been clearly from blue states to red states.
In 2023:
Blue-state residents moving to red states: 2,006,271.
Red-state residents moving to blue states: 1,375,854.
Net migration from blue states to red states: 630,417.
In 2024:
Blue-state residents moving to red states: 1,852,088.
Red-state residents moving to blue states: 1,307,618.
Net migration from blue states to red states: 544,470.
Combined 2023 and 2024:
Blue-state residents moving to red states: 3,858,359.
Red-state residents moving to blue states: 2,683,472.
Net migration from blue states to red states: 1,174,887.
So over those two years, red states gained about 1. 17 million residents net from blue states, or roughly 587,000 per year.
This is a true cross-group calculation using Census state-to-state migration data. Moves between two red states or between two blue states are excluded. Maine is classified as blue and Nebraska as red based on the statewide 2024 presidential vote.
The data show the direction of migration, but do not by themselves prove that politics caused it. Housing costs, jobs, retirement, climate, family ties and taxes may all contribute.

Posts: 1468Right on! I have a friend with a similar background. He started with nothing except his mind, his personal motivation, and a strong work ethic. He entered the construction when he was 18. He performed any job his boss would assign him and he slowly (at first) worked his way up the ladder of success. Today he owns his own construction company and has a 4 million dollar house on the intercostal in Miami. If you can't make it in America, you can't make it anywhere!

Are you black? Do you really know any black people? Did Canada ever engage in the slave trade? These are important questions if you have the answers I would be happy to hear them. Have you ever heard of white privilege?
