There is not explicit statement that prostitution is legal in Thailand. There is one in the Dominican Republic and was affirmed by their Supreme Court. The reality of the law is that the very specific situation that you are focused is not explicitly addressed by the law. That does not make it legal. It makes the specific situation that you like to focus on unaddressed. In the law or in the courts in the Kingdom of Thailand.

I cannot read So, I am happy for you to point out WHERE there is a statement in the law that says prostitution is legal in Thailand. Or present a court case where it has been affirmed that your interpretation of the laws in the Kingdom of Thailand is correct.

And if anyone wants to read every word of the Thai Penal Code position regarding sexuality, it isn't even that much to read. Maybe it would take you 10 minutes to read the whole thing. And no where in that or in the ACT referenced above will you see the blissfully easy words, terms and sentence that could be placed in them but are nowhere to be found. You know, something like, "Any and all exchanges of money for sex or sex for money, otherwise known as Prostitution, is illegal in Thailand for anyone of any age under any circumstances consentual or not and is punishable by a fine of not less than a Trillion baht and a mandatory prison sentence of 100 years without the possibility of parole.
