Places I have stayed and can recommend reflecting my order of priorities: comfort, Green'ess, VFM, location.

Raffles (Wafi).
V Hotel or the attached Hilton (Biz Bay).
Conrad Dubai (SZR).
DoubleTree.

However, if VFM is the main consideration then reverse the order, I think they are all solid options.
Personally would give the Marriott a miss, they can be tricky with guests.

Our group of 7 friends is heading to Dubai for the first time. We've done trips to Japan, Thailand, and a few Latin American countries before, so we're not total newbies to traveling together.

We've started reading through this forum, and honestly, you all are absolute legends for sharing so much useful infothough we'll admit, it's pretty overwhelming with everything to take in!

So far, we've gathered that the main scenes revolve around the club pickup scene, ordering from agencies, and, of course, massage places. Here are a few hotels that have been suggested to us:

Radisson Palm Jumeirah.

Raffles.

Conrad Dubai.

V Hotel (Curio Collection).

Hyatt Place Jumeirah.

DoubleTree M Square.

Four Points.

All 5-star properties, except for JW Marriott.

Now, for the seniors out thereif you had to do it all over again with your own gang, where would you hunt, and where would you stay? We're all about quality and value for money (VFM) over sheer quantity.

My friend had a frightening, narrow escape (hopefully without any follow up action by LE) this afternoon at the Garden Oasis Wellness Spa located on the ground floor of the Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Jumeirah on Al Mina Road in the Bur Dubai / Al Mina area. He was just 10 minutes into the massage (nothing sexual till then) when his Thai therapist (recently arrived in Dubai, as per her) started receiving back to back calls on the phone and as soon as she answered, she alerted my friend that the place is being raided by LE. While on the phone, she motioned my friend to get dressed and after peeking outside the room, asked my friend to leave immediately. My friend was carrying protection (bought from India) which he quickly handed over to the Therapist to dispose of and casually strolled out, noticing two LE officials (aged senior at the reception and young junior on the sofa) who did not even glance at him. Outside the spa, he saw several LE cars (fitted with cameras) and officials lying in wait but nobody stopped him and he was able to get in his car and drive away. While he is deeply relieved that nothing extreme happened, he is worried that the LE may be able to trace him if they wish to. Can any kind brethren in the know confirm if he is out of the danger zone or needs to take any precautionary measure? Also, for the benefit of the forum, how real is the risk in such situations and what one should do to mitigate / tackle it? Really looking forward to valuable inputs. Thanks a lot in advance.

He wasn't caught red handed so I doubt they will pursue him. If there was any issue he would have been stopped there and then. I suspect this is more about license and / or immigration checks.

Finally got around to seeing the famous Eve lounge. Shout out to JackthePlaya for the recommendation although I have to disagree that the girls are better looking than RS. FYI, there are at-least 10 more lounges in the area and I will leave it up to the younger studs to try them out.

I entered around 11. It was 150 cover with 2 drinks which is standard. Initially the scene looked boring with either too much makeup or surgery. I befriended a waitress and she agreed to help me out distinguish between the "party" girls and the "business" girls. After a listless 30 minutes, in walks a stunning 5'5" raven Russian. My waitress confirmed that she was a business girl. I have had a few disappointing experiences with Russians and wanted to avoid. But there was nothing much going on, so started a conversation. She had a naughty look in her eyes, which I could not resist and agreed for 1500 for 2. Paid for her drinks, tipped the waitress, walked out at 12 and cabbed it over to 4 points where I was staying. No issues with entry.

You paid 1500 for sounds like 3 or 4 hours and had a good time. So I disagree you overpaid.

Value is a bit like beauty, eye of the beholder and all that. I am sure you will (unfortunately) have experiences where you pay less (or significantly more) and come away with a crap experience and feel you have been robbed blind. Seems from your report you found a good one

At the risk of over-simplifying; the hobby is buying a service so the value is going to be as much about the delivery of the service as it is just counting the number of pops and hours. My 2 pence worth.
