Posts: 7740The Dis United States of America is a Plutocracy
Elite Influence: Studies by Princeton and Northwestern universities indicate that USA Policy outcomes strongly correlate with the preferences of*economic elites*and business interests, while having near-zero correlation with the preferences of the average citizen.
Campaign Finance: There is disproportionate power of wealthy donors and corporations, exacerbated by rulings like Citizens United, which allow unlimited independent political expenditures. A corporation is consider a person. And political contributions are consider speech. If you are able to give large amounts of money to political campaigns, what you have to say is paid more attention to than someone like me who is poor.
Historical Context: The USA Was founded as a plutocracy given that early voting rights were restricted to land-owning white men (some who owned slaves), and contemporary critics describe it as a system "of the 1%, by the 1%, for the 1%.
That's 100 percent true of my experiences inside of the Dis United States of America. The founders defined me (and everyone who looked like me) as 3/5 of a person.

In plain language (The Remix).
There is no greater depravation of your constitutional rights than when police kill those who look like me and they were unarmed.According to Wikipedia,*9*unarmed African Americans were killed by law enforcement in 2026, including Marcus Burks, Jaque Rabon, and Samuel Brown.
What reality am I failing to understand and accept?

I have no problem with individuals who chose self delusion over reality. I have a BIG problem with individuals who wish to spread their delusional ideas and mislead others.

If it was up to the Democrats I would still be 3/5 of a person. So I am not buying that social issues don't matter. You cannot pull yourself up by your bootstraps if you have no boots because you are not allowed to buy any. Racism in the Dis United States of America is real. Democrats have not done a thing about it.

But lets clear one thing up, I vote with my feet and my money. And you do too.
You don't live in the Dis United States of America. Care to share the reason for that? Care to let us know why while wearing your cheerleading skirt and waving your Democratic pom poms for them in the Dis United States of America you think social issues do not matter?
Inquiring minds want to know. I want to know!

Posts: 1468The Ayatollah started the war 47 years ago when he came to power and he authorized the storming of the US Embassy in Teheran on November 4, 1979. Iranian militants kept 52 American diplomats hostage for 444 days. Since then, Iran or Iran-backed groups have killed 1,200+ Americans and countless numbers of middle eastern people including their own.

Thus, Iran in possession of nuclear weapons is an existential threat to the region, to Europe and to the USA which has been acknowledged by every American President since Reagan and all the national leaders of every Middle Eastern country not just Israel.
"The central concern among defense analysts is not simply that Iran would acquire a nuclear weapon, but that the entity most likely to exercise control over such a weapon the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps operates with an ideological framework that complicates traditional deterrence models. The IRGC was established in 1979 specifically to protect the Islamic Revolution and its theocratic principles, giving it a dual mandate: conventional military defense and ideological preservation. Unlike professional military establishments in most nations, the IRGC's upper command has demonstrated a willingness to absorb enormous costs including international sanctions that have devastated the Iranian economy in pursuit of strategic and theological objectives. This raises a foundational question that nuclear strategists have debated for decades: does a leadership structure motivated significantly by religious eschatology respond to the same rational-actor deterrence calculus that governed USA -Soviet nuclear standoffs?
Analysts modeling a nuclear Iran typically outline several distinct scenarios:
The 1st is the "existential umbrella" scenario, in which Iran uses nuclear weapons primarily as a deterrent shielding its conventional military operations and proxy activities behind the implicit threat of nuclear retaliation, much as North Korea has done since its first nuclear test in 2006. Under this model, a nuclear Iran would not necessarily use a weapon directly, but would dramatically embolden its support for Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and militia groups in Iraq and Syria, knowing that adversaries would be reluctant to retaliate forcefully against a nuclear-armed state.
The 2nd scenario involves nuclear transfer: the deliberate or inadvertent proliferation of weapons-grade material or technology to non-state actors aligned with Iran. This is considered by many Western intelligence agencies to be among the gravest risks, as Hezbollah in particular has demonstrated both the organizational capacity and the willingness to conduct mass-casualty attacks. (Think 911 on steroids).
A 3rd scenario, considered less probable but not negligible by strategists, involves direct nuclear use in a moment of perceived existential crisis, for example, if Iran believed it faced imminent regime collapse or a devastating military strike on its territory."
Believe what you want. What I have outlined is reality. This insane, totalitarian, theocracy that just mowed down 47,000 of its own people in the streets of Teheran must be defeated and overthrown if there is to be any peace in the region and the world. They are a threat to us all.

Historically? I doubt any White Supremacist organization member has voted for anyone in the Democratic Party rather than the Republican Party since 1968.

Unless they so much prefer their obvious superior economic policy results more than they hate non whites. Then I suppose they hold their nose and vote for Democrats.
So if you want the Best of Both Worlds, by all means vote for Democrats, which is what anyone who wants that result should have been doing since 1960.
Amazingly, the Republican Party's historically godawful economic philosophy and methods and consequently horrific economic results have also not changed much in well over 100 years. And ever since the 1960's their stance on Social issues has become blatantly racist and intolerant. LOL. So if you want the Worst of Both Worlds, by all means vote for Republicans, which is also what someone who wants that should have been doing since 1960.
I am not all that interested in what stance political Parties take on Social issues. That's for suckers. Elected officials don't stop society from deciding what it wants in terms of Social issues and pushing for it until it gets what it wants, regardless how many Reagans and Trumps are elected vs Carters and Obamas. Therefore, to vote for crap economic results because the side that can only produce crap economic results is terrorizing you about caravans of immigrants coming to take your daughters and jobs or that the other side is going to force everyone to undergo transgender surgery is embarrassingly obviously a total con job meant to bamboozle suckers into voting for them and their predictably crap economic and national security results.

Posts: 82You could also have quoted the son of the last king of Iran. This rafikzadeh is the same kind who fled his country to live a lavish life in USA. Of course he is respected by the leaders of the US terrorist army as he is playing their propaganda. These people were orgasming at the sight of seeing their former country being bombed by terrorists willing to give it the same fate than the late great republic of Syria.

Posts: 7740I do not give my agency away to experts. I can think for myself!
Easy for academics to write. But has he sat in a political chair with real diplomatic power? If he has not then he is NO expert in actual war fighting and diplomatic operations. I do not give my agency over to experts. He is just another individual writing from the safety of his arm chair in a office. Is he willing to put himself, son or daughter or any member of his family in harms way to accomplish the objectives he proffers in the quote the OP posted?-Majid Rafizadeh: "One of the most effective methods Israel used to weaken Hezbollah and Hamas was the systematic targeting and removal of leadership. Trump started to use the same tactic, then stopped. Reapplying it would deliver a helpful message that the regime cannot continue on its current path.
If the US is concerned that then there might not be anyone with whom to make a "deal," the US should not be looking for a deal. A "deal" will not be honored by Iran, anyway. The US should be looking for unconditional surrender.
Iran's rulers, who have murdered an estimated 100,000 of their own citizens, clearly could not care less if a million oil tankers are hit or if "ordinary Iranians" cannot buy food or fuel. Whatever happened to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's threat to reclaim for the people of Iran their leaders' secret bank accounts in the British Virgin Islands and $100 million villas?
The United Arab Emirates, after Iran targeted its territory with missiles and drones, once again highlighted the decisive, farsighted leadership of President Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan to cut trade and financial relations with Iran. Severing relations with Iran's regime should become the standard.
It would be a blessing to eliminate this Islamist regime and as soon as we can. It has spread terrorism, anti-Americanism, antisemitism and the sickening repression of a great people for nearly five decades. The opportunity is here. Let us get it done."
Dr. Majid Rafizadeh is a political scientist, Harvard-educated analyst, and board member of Harvard International Review. He has authored several books on the US foreign policy.
