Posts: 1468Thanks for the update, Allover. It's too bad Spasso is no longer with us. I used to occasionally enjoy that different type of girl that hung out there; older, better educated, and horny! Mixx always had a more international crowd and I will definitely be checking it out when I am at the Intercontinental, but my main reason for staying a few nights in this neck of the woods is to hit Patpong (Kings Castle 1 + Pink Panther?) again. I sure hope it does not disappoint, but if it does there is always Nana and Mixx. That works too.

Spasso is now closed but Mixx is still open. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency two months ago. Nice, uncrowded pool, fantastic location. The walk from the hotel entrance to the Nana BTS is 2 minutes and completely under a roof. On a rainy afternoons I could go to Siam Paragon or Emsphere without a need for an umbrella. There is a nice club upstairs but I didn't see any girls there despite a friend telling me some FLs hang out there.

Thanks.
I appreciate the comments. Convenience to Nana is important, but proximity to Nana isn't my only consideration for this trip.

Posts: 1468I agree with you on the Sheraton. It has a great pool, great location with easy access to the trains, but its rooms are a little dated.

The Intercontinental opposite the Grand Hyatt are about equal as is the Weston, but the Grand Hyatt has a great garden pool area while the Intercontinental across the street and the Weston pools are rather small and do not impress. I have a reservation pending at the Hyatt Regency and I think this hotel is good choice quality and location wise and everything else. My main point is BKK has a lot of very good hotels to choose from. It is hard to go wrong.

Posts: 1468Plenty of Great Hotel Choices on the Right Side of the Expressway
Take a look at the map and tell me if you think the Athenee is a better choice than the JW. In my last post I mentioned I will be staying at the Intercontinental for 4 nights solely to take advantage of its proximate location to Patpong and of course because Spasso is right across the street and Mixx is in the same building. Other than that, the neighborhood is dead for mongering purposes, and it is NOT convenient walking distance to Nana if that is your plan with staying the Athenee. It is close to Central Embassy Mall which has a tasty, upscale food court.

On the other hand, there are plenty of great hotel choices proximate to Nana, Thermae, Soi 11, Asok ect, especially in the JW's price range. For example, I personally recommend the Hyatt Regency, the Sofitel, the Weston, the Sheraton, the Grande Centre T21, and the Radisson Blu. I have stayed in them all and they are all better located for your main purpose than the Athenee. The Athenee is where I would consider staying if I was with my wife and for some reason, I can't imagine what, we did not want to stay on the Chao Phraya River.

Both are great but I think JW is in a more overall convenient location.

Hello!
I tried searching through the forums but couldn't find any info. Is this hotel guest friendly? I like the location and have stayed here before but never tried bringing anyone over.

It's been more than a hot minute since my last visit (pre-COVID), and I have an opportunity to finally get back to Bangkok. In the past, the JW was always girl friendly. I'd get great service and it was close to the train and Nana. I am inclined to stick with the JW, due to the convenient location, and wondering if it is still girl friendly, and / or if the Athenee might be a better choice.

Posts: 350Sheraton Grand vs Sofitel vs. Intercon. Sukhumvit
Sheraton Grand has that great pool. But you got to hit the pool early if you want to find a semi decent spot. And their breakfasts are great especially for Bonvoy members. I also love the tiled bathrooms. Rooms otherwise a little dated but clean. Also 2, or sometimes even 4, pieces of free laundry DAILY, which is a real bonus in sweaty BKK. Down side is, Girl friendliness. While I am certain the hotel will have zero objections, entry and exit is anything but inconspicuous. Also majority of guests are actually all 'legit' so factor in a walk of shame element as well. I have never bought home any take out to this hotel.
Sofitel I have not tried yet, but for a NANA fan, it's a little closer to the action each night. Marginally so. The hotel also looks a little newer from the photos. I have not stayed but I think Sofitels are a slightly cut above the Sheraton Grands, globally. Welcome views here.
It's been a while since I stayed at the intercon on Sukhumvit, but there are a few positives that have imprinted on me. The pool while not Sherton Grand level is also pretty decent. I have no real recolection of the breakfast set up. They had a pick-up bar/club in the basement so you had an onsite talent pool. I wonder if that bar is now dead or still has some decent action. It's connected to a small shopping center and to a larger shopping center by skybridge which is super convenient. But the standout from this hotel was the Girl Friendliness. The bell man would collect my home delivery from reception and bring her directly to my room. Very nice of them.

Posts: 2659Both are guest friendly. You don't need a washer / dryer, as there are laundry services around.

Posts: 7211Adelphi Suites vs. Maison Hotel?
Adelphi Suites on Soi 6 is rated 4-star, about $120 a night, shows a washing machine in the room, not sure about a dryer, no restaurant, no breakfast, near Sukhumvit and Nana MTR station, possible more noise. Of course both hotels are girls friendly.
Hotel Maison on Soi 2/4 is rated 5-star, about $72 a night including a good breakfast buffet. Maison was recently renovated, decor and soft lighting make this place feel warm, comfortable, relaxed, like home. Quick access to Soi 4 and Nana Plaza with large selections of girls in bars and on streets will maximize your fun. You can walk bar girls and street girls to your room quickly.
The hotel will do laundry for a couple bucks. There are a couple shops and laundrymats in Soi 6 alley for DIY within walking distance.
I prefer to split my time between bars, streets, restaurants, sight seeing ect. Here's a hot blonde I bagged in front of Hotel Maison on Soi 4. We were both so turned on for each other, attacked each other physically and vocally in bed, one of the hottest sessions. Her hair was all messed up after. I gave her tel to a couple bros. They found her and had good times.

Torn between the two. Which to choose?
Are both Guest Friendly? There's a video on Youtube saying Maison is the new Nana Hotel so that is very enticing. But Adelphi has Washer / Dryer option so decisions decisions.

I apologize in advance, since I know this "girl friendly" theme has been covered and covered again. I'm trying to book a hotel for business trip and will have meetings around lumpini park and park Hyatt area. I want to put some distance between my coworkers and my nightlife activities and considering Sivatel and oriental residences as the base of operation. Does anyone have first hand experience or strong opinions about bringing TF or Thermae girls there. I know Hyatt regency would be the natural choice, I am just afraid staying in the heart of Sukhumvit could raise questions when I try to expense it.

Posts: 514Not quite what you are looking for I'd say, but S15 hotel has 4 poster style beds (something to grip onto or hold arms about head, or tie her to), just they aren't the strongest.

Haven't come across mirrors on ceiling yet haha! But AYA massage does have them which is a nice touch when you are getting head.
