What happened to all the Soi 4 freelancers?

Just bad timing for you. As mentioned by ET, IMF conference closed things down for "security" as delegates staying at hotels there. IMF officially completed Sunday 18 Oct. I was at Soi 4 last night (Sunday night) for a pimpette hookup. Usual melee of vendors, roadside bars and 95% of street standers gone. The sidewalks could actually be used as sidewalks. Expect things will be back to normal this week. AR.

What happened to all the Soi 4 freelancers? I returned to Bangkok after a break and Soi 4 is disappointing to say the least.

Previously there were a hundred ladies of various nationalities filling the street, street good vendors, little street bars springing up. It was a lot of fun.

Now, there's almost no ladies. It's like a ghost town.

No street vendors, no ladies. Boring.

What happened? Where are they all now? Did they move somewhere else?

I noticed it too higher up Sukhumvit on the stretch from Terminal 21 down past Thermae, Sofitel heading towards Nana, there was virtually no FL's on the street. I thought maybe it was a sign of the times that most girls are heading onto the apps etc. The only time I was approached by FL's on the street last week was actually at 5 am outside my hotel! Also outside Thermae one night around midnight it was getting very messy.

The city asked all the street vendors and other similar activities to keep the sidewalks clear during the high security period of the International Monetary Fund meeting at the nearby convention center this past week. It was essentially voluntary. There were some stray street vendors and street FLs who did their thing out there right in front of the police anyway. But for the most part they took a break for the week. I was pissed that my favorite Thai milk tea cart on Soi 4 went missing all last week.

Which also reduced pedestrian and customer traffic for many regular businesses in that particular area of lower Sukhumvit. A couple of the hotter Nana Plaza gogo girls and FLs I frequent left town entirely due to the expected slow traffic and took a trip to their families in outer provinces last week. Those who could afford to do that. There were many more FLs on Soi 4 last night after Midnight or 1 am now that the IMF week is over.

The ST hotels where most Soi 4 girls go are disgusting. Those being most of the ST rooms on the alley across from Hillary 1. I've had Soi 4 girls walk to Atlas with me, it is a far nicer place for just a few baht more.

I've had Soi 4 girls refuse to walk to my Soi 11 hotel and I've also had them complain when we walked together to Soi 11 Aloft area. Now in my old age, I spring 100 to 200 baht for a tuk tuk or taxi and give her 100 baht for a return motorcycle taxi.

I never had a problem with the hotel down that alley, first one on the left. I try to avoid 7/1 because of the annoying denizens.

Lately I have been staying in the Ruamchitt, takes care of pulling one out of Thermae.

Ah, for the good old days with the short time room in Nana.

I just let the girl choose. If its too far for me, then I take a tuk tuk.

Angeles city is undoubtedly a shithole, but it's my shithole. And, you can still get a nice hotel and eat at nice restaurants if you want. The girls are generally hotter in Thailand. But if you operate in the top 10%, we're talking about similar quality. I'm in Pattaya now and I can't believe how hot some of these girls are in the bars on walking street. The barfine experience is a thousand times better in AC. Yeah there will be some fatties on stage, but pick one of the stars to sit with you. Your lady drink is half the price that it is in BKK, and it's a normal sized glass, and the girl is so happy to be sitting down with you, she will pace her drinking alongside yours. You can legitimately speak English to the girl, charm her, make her feel like she's your girlfriend. Check the vibe, actually communicate what you like verbally rather than over a translator. Then you walk 5 minutes to your hotel and have some great bareback sex (pretty much always the default. I've never had to negotiate beforehand).

I am very much enjoying my time in Thailand. If I lived here I would mainly take advantage of the BJ bars and nuru massage places (AC really lacks quality versions of these), Thai Friendly, and Tinder. I would probably rarely if ever barfine. It's also nice how easy it would be to remain fairly anonymous in BKK. In AC you become known fairly quickly which can be good or bad. But you can also extend to the friends-and-family-plan and you have an endless supply of value. Your dollar goes a lot further in almost every regard. My haircut guy is fantastic. 150 pesos. I'm a baller so I give him 200.

You are very safe in AC. Yeah if it's 3 am and you are drunk and you're wandering around back alleys, something could happen. Probably the same here I imagine. To answer the question, no there are not as many options. But there are enough to keep your dick entertained for a long long time. AC is definitely not for everyone, but I do love it. Will probably head back after my time in Pattaya.

Good to know you're enjoying Pattaya, I didn't enjoy it much when I visited, it felt like 'starving' in a sea of women. LOL, I don't fancy the ladydrinks and barfine game, maybe the language barrier has something to do with it. AC looks like a place I would like to visit at least once, before deciding if I like it or not. Apart from beauty, how would you rate the attitude and willingness of the women in AC? And how safe are the hotel rooms, what's the probability of stuff going missing in your hotel room, whether by the girls or hotel workers?

Ramada is not a short time hotel as far as I know. It is a legit chain hotel, so expect that you will need to do a formal check in with passport. For a "short time" hotel like Atlas, you just say "short time" to the desk clerk, pay, get a key and go up to your room to do your business. For consideration. You do you. AR.

Every time I checked it out in 2025, last visit in December, the quality wasn't there. Maybe it has improved.

The only lady there I have ever seen that I would take upstairs is named Cream. Tall and slender. Several of the girls were nice looking but way too fat for me. If you're into bigger girls you could have a good time there I used to have a friend that enjoyed having sex with Cream so I would be a good wing man and sit at the bar drinking with a couple of the ladies while he was upstairs. Several times I saw couples and three somes getting pretty raunchy on the sofas drinking and having fun.
