I haven't been to Medellin in the last 10 years when I left the real world in a place called Mangos. I think it was Mangos or Mangroves or something like that. I drank a lot back then. Does anyone know where to get cigars in Medellin? I have recently given up cigarettes.

I get them at Poblado but I don't remember where I bought them. I saw cigars of every size and cheap in Poblado. Colombian cigars are good.

I hate Reggaeton. I also hate Rap music but it's Reggaeton that I hear so much when I'm in Colombia. I can listen to it if I have to for a little while but I feel so much better when it's over.

Anyway, I had a session with this girl recently. Was good and all but what really made her stand out in my mind was her love for Rock music. I found this out because I still travel with a pack of my favorite Rock CD's and a small CD player with speakers. Yes I know it's nearing antique status but it still sounds great.

Anyway, I had a session with this girl recently. Was good and all but what really made her stand out in my mind was her love for Rock music. So, this girl was looking at some of my CD collection and she asks me if she can play a couple of songs from one of the CD's. I said ok, and she puts one in the CD player and skips through some songs searching for the ones she wanted to hear. Turns out the CD was Aerosmith's 'Get Your Wings'. And what was were the songs she wanted to hear? Train kept a Rollin and Seasons of Wither. Imagine that, I thought. Those are my two favorite songs on that CD as well.

So, we lay there listening to Joe Perry's powerful guitar work and of course Steven Tyler's unique singing style on Train Kept a Rollin. She imitated the drumming during the part where it goes from studio to 'live crowd'. Pretty cool watching a naked Colombian girl air drumming!

The song after Train kept a Rollin is Seasons of Wither. It actually has a long haunting intro that eventually leads to an acoustic guitar and then just kicks out a mellow yet kick ass tune. A great tune, I found, to make out to as well with a willing partner.

Skipping the sordid bedroom details, after we were all showered and dressed, I asked the girl how she knew of Aerosmith. She told me that her dad was into rock and would listen to a lot of Aerosmith so she got to liking them but only their older music. She said she didn't like their newer music. Funny thing is, I don't either.

Why not just book a night or two and see for yourself? If you have no problems getting paisas to your apartment where (I am assuming) the atmosphere & furnishings are better than sessioning at the casas then I don't think you will need the Mansion.

The Mansion is great for the access to available women at a manageable price.

I am not sure how much you pay per night for the apartment, but if you pay cash, the rooms at the Mansion are 20% off their rack rate of 150K - 215K per night.

The rooms vary, but on the whole are pretty decent. They are a bit more expensive than you would pay for an equivalent room in a hotel or apartment.

For me it's worth it.

IMO the appeal of the Mansion (Plaza 1) is the camaraderie with the other guests. All my trips to MDE have been solo. To me, its nice to have other like-minded guys to hang out with. Usually I already know about half the guests from my previous visits, so it's a very comfortable place to come back to a few times a year.

It depends. Do you like a social atmosphere? Or do you already have a social network set up in MDE?

I think you can take "Colombiana" out of the sentence and substitute your favorite nationality. It's not Colombianas in specific that are crazy, it's the entire sex. Some are just worse than others!

Nop, Colombiana stays in the sentence, they all are some crazy, but here are worst than other places for sure. So much drama and paranoia, haven't seen that even in the former Soviet Republics where men have treated them like sht for many generations. They are a little more mature and centered in reality.

Robert at the Mansion sells habanos for a reasonable price. Depending on your housing situation. Not sure why the shop in Lleras is so expensive.

Actually it's very near Parke lleras. I didn't see any dominicans. I like a large ring gauge. At least a 50, but I was given a Colombian mini cigar, the La Cava house brand. It was strong, but excellent and inexpensive. 20 minis in a pack for 20. 000.
