Social media vs street.
In the US I don't use dating apps at all, but they're much more useful overseas. I have relatives in Jamaica so I know that tagged is used as way to get foreigners by non pros or semi pros. I made yet another rookie mistake by not bringing a camera phone (can't have a camera phone on the job 'nuff said) tinder works but you have to talk more and wait longer. Meeting on the street semi pros and hardcore's is Quicker actually terminal 2 is not a bad place. And the cake hut off Ghandi avenue in Nairobi west is great for cappuccino and nonpro's and there's several moderately priced hotels for LT. Matatus can work too but hard to chat when squeezed on a bus riding on the sidewalk! A was in a matatus that did this. But 50 Kes can't be beat.

Neddy.
Well I wasn't the only mzungu there there was a Chinese guy going up the stairs when I came down like LOL.
Nairobi is far safer than my normal overseas playground of Kingston Jamaica.

Greetings,
I'm in Nairobi right now and I made every noob mistake that could be made.
1. I skimmed the forum.
2. I came on a lark, well not totally I'm reconning the city as a possible retirement option.
3. Went to Sabina Joy and picked up an hanger on; a chick who wants to keep me to herself. She was useful in finding me a deal on a hotel and transportation and translation (it's hard for locals to understand me and me them) and she was relatively cheap.
4. It took me a few days to get a phone so I couldn't capitalize on tinder and badoo at first.
5. Picked a hotel based on a cab drivers recommendation (the strand) I got a better cheaper deal a few blocks down the street.
6. I came during rainy season harder to pick up college students in the rain.

One thing is for sure-- downtown Nairobi is no longer the place to hang for mongerers. This is truly THE END of the downtown mongering scene.
And f*ck Rut0, and all the other corrupt kenyan politicians & cronies!
One of so many things that was so good about Simmers is that non-pros would go there to upgrade their level of clients. My best lays in the mongering scene were from Simmers: college girls, girls with real jobs, even NON-catfishing semi-pros (that is, those who upfront admitted to looking for business, no pretending about it. But still giving a girlfriendly-experience (GFE)) -- I met some of the best fresh sweetness there.
I'm so sad.
I don't see these kinds of girls going to the New Florida--it just wouldn't be worth the investment.
I wonder where they -- and we -- will go now.

It's hard to pin down the Kenyan mindset. For instance many Kenyans can't afford liquor, and proudly fill the table with empty Tusker bottles as a sign of wealth, but consider me cheap and broke when I buy and drink gin. Just complete ignorance. White or Black you will be thought of as the guy that can afford pussy inflation. Price depends on a lot of factors, and will it take a lot of getting used to the place as a retirement option, you might want to consider the Phils or Thailand, and just use Africa as a brief playground. You won't be thought of as much a hoe monger as a white guy because you blend in a bit more, but that is all.

Answer for no 2. Mombasa is a lot cheaper than Nairobi, all of women on the lookout for people like you. Less hassle than Nairobi as well.

Old Madhouse and Simmers, and as a newbie you branched out from those places and learned your way around the city. Face it gents, Kenya is trying to clean heup its act. As a result rates are going up for quality, which as a discriminating man, won't settle for less. Your correct Neddy, this loss is due to a land grab. Sabina Joy? Never been either. I at least want the illusion I am getting quality pussy, and not be over charged for what a Kenyan will get for 5 dollars. Just put on your charming face and go to good places like Tribeka across from Nations center. I guarantee you will meet somebody. All Kenyan women are not selling pussy. Many are just plain giving it away in the hope that you will get sprung.

Just sad and shocking. Of course it's prime real estate. The last authentic place gone now after Florida. These 2 places should have been protected as landmarks. Where to go? I liked the open bar area and Nyama. Last October I spent my last night there. At least there is still Sabina Joy.
