Anyone fly back and forth between Medellin and Cartagena much? I see flights in a basic Google search round trips nonstops ranging from $60 on Viva Air to $100 Avianca. I'm wondering if these are prices only gotten when you book in advance or do the budget airlines like Viva Air run these all the time?

Those are normal prices for flights within Colombia. One of my Venezuelan chicks moved from Bogota to Medellin a couple of weeks ago because of a job transfer. She took the bus for $30. I asked her why she didn't just take a flight for that price. She said because she had 3 big bags and she didn't want to pay extra to take them on the plane.

I have Verizon with International service and my phone works here just like in the USA. If your carrier is Verizon all you need to do is add an International Plan of which they have an option that costs $ 10 a day. With the plan I have I can receive and make calls from anywhere in Colombia as though as I was at home. As an example, if I want to call someone in the USA I just go to contacts and the number is dialed. As far as Whatsapp, Tinder, or anything else it works in Colombia just like at home with the Verizon service I have which is expensive, but very reliable. I have used my phone all over the world, IE; for UBER etc. And it's been like I never left the USA. So if you have Verizon service your best option might just be adding International service versus having to change SIM cards.

Verizon must have added more bands to their phones since I looked into it. But it's still cheaper for me to go with Google Fi, It's cost is $20 a month unlimited texting, plus $10 GB data, on average I use 1 GB a week if I don't have consistent wifi, half that if I do. For 2 weeks that's $40 which would only be 4 days on Verizon international plan. I used it on a two week trip to Europe two years ago and only spent $30 because I had WiFi most of the time.

A new phone must be registered with Whatsapp before Whatsapp will work. Whatsapp identifies a user by a username created from a phone number and stored in the Whatsapp application. That is the reason you do not need a sim card after the app is registered. Even if you change your sim card, it will not affect your Whatsapp account until you reload Whatsapp.

As Fun Luvr has stated, make sure you register an email with your WhatsApp account as it provides you with the ability to back up your account? Who wouldn't want to back up their account to retrieve any missed messages? Which can only be done through a registered email address, as I was saying before, the answer was provided, even in denial. I currently have 2 phones, different numbers, same email, they both recieve the same messages if I whatsapp either number from a 3rd phone but I cannot whatsapp the same phones registered under the same email? The fact is that the Venezuelans are in every nook and cranny in Medellin, I mean everywhere and yes I have never seen so many chicas in Botero and the Vera as there are now. This last Sunday I sat in the museum cafe patio, which adjacent to the Botero plaza, and sipping my coffee for almost 2 hours and watched and observed the people and was in awe how many workers were out in the afternoon.

When I am down there and I see the English guided tour groups being escorted thru the area, I wonder if any of the people on the tour ever ask, why are there so many women standing around all over the place. Perhaps the tour guide tells them what's up?

The Venezuelans are pretty easy to identify, they typically hang together in groups of two or more girls and unfortunately a lot of them are fat and ugly, the "fuglies" are what I call them. However, there are some nice ones in the mix. YFor those of you that think more $ gets you finer pussy or performance, I wish you well. My experience is that the correlation is not clear.

Since I am one who seems to be offering 50 k more than the going rate, I agree with you that probably I am not getting a better performance paying extra. Help was good but sometimes I would spend the days and evenings in Termas and skip Help. Undoubtedly there were good girls and great times to be had in Help. The Termas were often incredible so by the time I made it to Help at midnight it didn't matter to me if I hooked up. Some people would come to Rio only for Help but to me, on its own, it was not that great a draw. I mean, I would not fly to Rio and spend my days hanging around the beach only to go to Help at night.
