But last 2 visits (last 2 years) - Beer Garden was dead. More like a horror show.

Has it changed? Is the construction on the street completed. I think that was the main reason for the downfall.

I'm sorry you were disappointed Tiger. I don't know. I've been in and out of Bangkok for 35 years and I've found that the beautiful Soi 7 Beer Garden is like the ocean tides; sometimes busy and sometimes quiet. It's such a solid landmark and a world all of its own! I would think it would be "bullet proof" to almost any construction around it including the closed fish restaurants across the street. Like the Thermae, I would think it would be one of those places mongers and SW would go to, because it is there. I will be there in a few weeks to check it out for myself.

A few hours well spent on Friday. Started early by 7 pm on Soi Cowboy. Things were still starting up so spent a couple of hours at a nearby beer joint just soaking in the weekend scene. I think in all my years in Bangkok I either never took a girl from Beer Garden or else she was not memorable and I forgot. I don't find girls there that are simply a must do look about them, and I don't much like the style there, and a bit overly spread out to be able to watch a few potential targets at same time. Might have spent more effort avoiding unwanted girls, perhaps.

My visits were also very few, I guess. Did not take long to consider it a waste of time for me. Always worth a visit again to re-evaluate in case I got it wrong. Are the looks better or worse than on Soi 4? I would not know.

Having lived in Vegas for 20+ years, I've gotten way past the age or care of drinking myself silly and staying out late, so I'm wondering if there are places in the daytime, other than MP's and BJ bars, that are suited for mongering? It appears that some of the beer bars might be open in the daytime, though I can't imagine many lookers are there at 1 pm versus 1 am

There are plenty of bars open from the morning in Sukhumvit Soi 4, with Barfinable girls. I have used it in the past. Whether there are enough pretty ones I can't say, but okay To compete with the massage joints mostly opening 11 am or maybe 10 am for some.

If you can get a girl for all night and do her the next morning, that is good, for bargirls and freelancers. Getting a fuck for breakfast is the hardest one.

Soapy massage places open in daytime but line up is usually weak up till maybe 5. 30 Pm or later. So Soapies have very limited good mongering time span for me.
