Sounds similar to my situation, I was traveling quite a bit last year for work, this year I'm in Atlanta & there are plenty of clients here so no travel. I only have a $3 k a month budget which is plenty to play on around this area, like you I am very disciplined on my budget. I never touch my savings, always hit my $1500 a month savings contribution & have my 401 k maxed at $19 k a year, I have over $800 k in savings & retirement while in my 40's, plus a house paid off.

What part of the world are you in?
