This is my recent experience in Koganecho. I went on the recommendation of Sailing and there I found a good variety of choices awaiting me. The quality of girls ranges the whole spectrum, and because the most popular girls are often busy with curtains closed, you should walk at least a second time to see the selection.

I once saw 5 white Americans show up to Hosekinobako with 1 Asian friend who barely spoke enough Japanese. That's all you need. The staff need at least one guy in your group who can communicate so people can agree to follow the rules (all common sense) and communicate about girls (to keep them or not) and order drinks. If you are in a large group, it is important to make a reservation. I showed up at 5:00pm as the very first customer, so I got a girl at 5:10pm. So did the 2 other Japanese guys right after me. There's nothing like Tobita in Tokyo. But there are soaplands, which are FS places. The closest to NRT would probably be in Chiba City. The large Yoshiwara soapland district in Tokyo is not super far from Ueno or Tokyo stations. It really depends on how long your layover is. The good news for you is that this topic has been discussed in great detail in this forum several times recently, starting in September of last year and at least once again after that. I made the decision to visit Tokyo Hentai Girls since picts looked good, supposedly foreign friendly and close to where I was staying. It was a big mistake. Thanks for speaking up. You researched a girl and one way or another they couldn't supply her. It is a tough situation to be in since you are already there. Your tip on red flags has saved me before. I passed by Barubola soapland 20 times on my way to oppai pubs and back, so one time I popped in out of curiosity. Seemed like a nice enough place but they had only one girl who was chubby. Exact same experience as 2 other reviews here (one before me, one after me) - it's uncanny. I politely declined and went to Leicester oppai pub instead.

I used to get into 10% of shops, now I get into 90% of shops. The only difference is my Japanese level and experience. I can no longer tell why a shop let me in since I use every tactic such as getting a referral from Manzoku or using a card some girl gave me to show I'm a returning customer.

My first shops ever were all the oppai pubs of Nagoya, every single one. I knew 3 months of Japanese, which is basically nothing. Things like "Hi", "I like Japan", "I am from America", and "Boobs please". This was 20 years ago and for most girls, I was the first foreigner customer ever. Or some veteran girls would be like "I had a foreigner customer 3 months ago". Like a conquistador I broke new ground there. But I will say I went at 7 pm when things were slow. Had I showed up 10 pm when the clubs were full, they would have refused me. Especially if they can only let 1 more guy in they will choose a local over an unknown like me. But like I said, every single oppai pub of Nagoya let me in. I later that same trip tried in Tokyo and only 10% of shops including oppai pubs would let me in. But, 10% of 50 shops in Kabukicho is still like 5 shops. That's all I needed. BTW never ever talk to the black / nigerian touts, or any non-Japanese tout (Chinese, Korean, white) for that matter in Shinjuku. Never had that problem in Nagoya or other cities.

I have heard the three problems they want to deal with are: 1) Customers that can't follow rules including bothering girls, staff, other customers. 2) Customers that run away without paying (whether Japanese or not). 3) Customers wiling to follow rules and pay, but cannot communicate the bare minimum with girls or staff.

Some of that is just a matter of staff training. For example at Kira Kira soapland in Yokohama, staff don't speak a word of English but have been foreigner friendly for years even before Covid. My first time they simply wanted to first know what country I was from. I'm from the US, so they gave me an English form of the rules. They also had Chinese and Korean forms. No problem at all.

Unfortunately, pure English speakers have fewer choices like Luxe for oppai pubs. 22 years ago, there was almost no English information on oppai pubs. Zero on Nagoya. So I wrote some posts on them which are still there today. A few other people took interest and wrote their own better guides. But even 22 years later there are just a handful of reviews. It is mostly still word of mouth. In 2003 it used to be I'd be the only foreign customer "in a week" or "in a month" or ever for some girls. Back then, Japan was considered expensive and also there wasn't much interest or awareness of oppai pubs among tourists. Most guys just want to bang, or get a hj or bj. Those were almost all the posts.

But nowadays even at Hosekinobako, the girls say about 10% or 20% of their customers are foreigners. Mostly from various Chinese countries. Some simply speak enough Japanese, or are invited by Japanese hosts to make deals.

Many oppai pub girls also suggested the idea, but I didn't feel it would work out, especially the clear implication there was I should keep them all night or buy them champagne in a tit for tat. I wouldn't expect this. All told between oppai pub girls, delivery girls, JAV hostess girls, and other girls I played with I met 50 girls. Was very skeptical about the soapland scene, expecting it to be more like the US AMP scene with old, ugly overhyped providers. However, the urge for adventure nudged me on, and boy was I surprised.
