I have my first vacation ever to India in Feb, and was looking to get some information on the forum. I've travelled alot, Including SE Asia, Germany, and South America. I know how to do research. I can usually find at least one or two ROD that can give me a lay of the land, and can put together the rest through reading back 6-12 months worth. But the India forums is different. Very few field reports. No one talks about any particular venues, bars, or nightclubs. Just a lot of "hey, I got this photo, can anyone tell me about her?" Lots of abbreviations and code words.

Could a fellow hobbyist please put out a basic lay of the land, understandable by someone who is knew to the India scene? I am still trying to choose where I visit in India. The only thing that I know for sure is Delhi, Agra, and Varanasi.
